The rooms were basic but comfortable with good views of the pool and surrounding area. Staff are extremely friendly to British tourists if you avoid being condescending and arrogant, I found them very pleasant, accomodating and they remember us when we return. It is a mere 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach downhill with shops and restauraunts roundabout. Pool area is gorgeous and the restaurant/bar opens up onto terrace which serves lovely food and large variety of drinks. The dining room is large and food very nice with something new every day to try. There is an ice cream bar right across the road called Chicho's with friendly staff and Chicho himself welcomes us back each year with a catch up chat and a coffee. I couldn't have asked for more in this hotel. I will continue to stay here year after year.

THE JOYA hotel is and ideal base,its spotlessly clean and the cleanest spanish hotel i have ever been to..the staff are lovely and they could not do enuf for u.ok they dont speak good english.the food is not that good very spanish and its soo cheap to eat out a didnt worrry.mainly spanish used hotel but they were all lovely...pool lovely and rooms spotless..a great base and across the road behind the poseidon hotel by the benimar apartments takes u to the bizz..all in all a great wee hotel..i loved the fact i was way from all the noise etc.is in a very nice residential area but honest folks the walk is great into the old town.beautiful...give this wee place a try and u will see what a mean/ i am going back in january and will be booking again.. happy holidays.winning post if u like a bet and loads of bars to eat.. soooo cheap and buy a bud and get one free..
