Zenit Lisboa Hotel

We stayed here only one night due to limited time. It was great, very modern and clean. Although a little way out from the centre as others have remarked, don't let this put you off. There are plenty of buses, metro and taxis. We booked through Expedia to get the best rate. We used the Carristur sightseeing tour bus, the Blue route for 14 EUR each (tickets from the hotel) which allows you to travel on the bus, hop on and off and use the metro or buses all day.This price covers you for 24hrs. This is a near-excellent boutique hotel, situated in the northern city centre close to the metro (or about a 25-minute walk to the old historical Baixa district). The first thing that you notice is the facade of this wonderful hotel which is very attractive and beautifully restored. This hotel is located in the best area in town and is close to the metro as well. Parking in the neighbourhood is pretty good as well if you are driving in, though the hotel parking in expensive. The rooms are very tastefully decorated using the 'less is more ' philosophy and extremely clean as well. The staff is quite responsive and the restaurant though expensive has a very good chef who cooks dishes which are melt in the mouth good. What a fantastic find! Hotel was lovely, rooms were newly decorated and were lovely and clean. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the business district which means it takes about 40 minutes to walk to the main centre but for going out at night it only cost 5 EUR in a taxi to get there. Try eating at the Hotel Mudial, Veranda restuarant which has fantastic views over the city and the food and service were first class. Booking would be recommended as it is extrememly busy.

Hotel was clean and nice. It is very close to Bus/Metro statinon Saldanha. Cheap (if one books over internet). The reception desk people are a bit strange, ignoring you rather then paying attention (talking all the time between themselves). This is a good quality city hotel. The service was great - I arrived early at 09:30 and had to wait 30 minutes before they had a room ready for me which was a nice bonus. We didn't explore much of the immediate surrounding area, but the taxis in Lisbon are cheap, and from the airport to this hotel it was around €8-9 which was very reasonable and made it by far the easiest route to the hotel when arriving. If you book this hotel expecting modern 4* standards you won't be disappointed.

A very modern decor with all the comforts. Food was very good in the restaurant. Close to a metro station but a bit far from the central area where most of the attractions are located. Internet access seemed pricey.

The Zenit is a stylish modern hotel situated slightly north of the true city centre . The lobby is open and very clean .Checking in was fast and efficient .I have to say that the room was probably the cleanest I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world and was kept to a very high standard throughout our stay .It was not the largest room I have ever had but more the sufficient .The power shower was amazing and the room had a nice flat screen TV .We were on the 8th floor and at the back so although we had a small balcony the view was over... more

Just stayed at Zenit with my wife for 3 nights in early April and got it for a good deal on Expedia. Was very pleasantly surpised by the hotel, once we got past taking 20 minutes to check in at reception as the receptionist prioritised helping a couple lengthily confirm their booking at a restaurant. Once in the room it was great, very clean, recently refurbished and fairly spacious. Zenit Lisboa is excellent, would not hesitate to go back. Very new inside, minimalist style. Everything was clean and up to the highest standard. Maybe i was lucky (the hotel was not busy) but i got a fabulous room with a separate TV room and a huge patio facing west. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit, juices, freshly baked breads and croissants, even English newspapars (sometimes). Only downside is it is rather north of the city centre, but a taxi ride from Barrio Alto or Praca Comercial is less than 5 euros, and the subway/metro is... more
