Allstar Sunshine Hotel

Were do i begin ?! Though i'm an experienced traveller and "i ve seen it all" i never thought that so-called 4* could be such an overboring nightmare club. Meals: good if you're a macaroni lover. One day there were about 7 different sorts in every course (salads included). The second course (hot vegetables, some meat, hot macaroni) is guarded by the row of personal, and if you want it twice (despite your 'all inclusive') they look at you like you're as if you're their personal ennemie. Me and my family spend 2 weeks at The Sunshine Hotel back in july 2006. All we can say is - NEVER AGAIN!!! We had all inclusive. Boring food, and lousy drinks. Entertainment no good unless you´re german. The only thing around the hotel is a gas station. Staf don´t know a single word in english, and that goes for just about all of them. If this is the turkish standard for a 4 star hotel - Then "NEVER TURKEY AGAIN". more

Just back from this supposed 4 star plus, never ina million years. Where do I start. Room with sea view- yes if the leaves on th huge tree moved, but mamager did fix this by changing our room.Hotel caters mainly for Gremans in both food choice and staff language. We ate 2 breakfast only o.k if you like bolied eggs every morning, lunch and evenign meal only ate 3 in total as mainly salty stew only choice of 2 meat dishesw and never hot food only warm. this hotel is not 4 star. is not even 2 star, I've stayed in places with 2 starts that have better standards, cleaner rooms and clener bathrooms. The staff does not speak english and they hate you when you ask for a drink in the bar, this is all inclusive ! The food is not very nice either, there is no choice on the menu. The location is really bad, in the midle of nowhere, no cloase shops, transport or restaurants. is bout 12 km from main city. more

I booked this holiday 10 days before departure via otbeach.com. The price was excellent for a weeks all inclusive, flying from my local airport (Exeter). So price wise I was happy. The hotel is clean although the bathroom was shabby, I think whoever did the grouting used a spoon and was blindfolded. Certain features such as the lobby bar and the large fountain in the centre of the dining room were unused/turned off despite the hotel being full, which meant a hike out to the pool bar for drinks. My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time. The rooms are quite basic but we only slept and showered in it. We were on the 4th floor and had a beautiful sea and pool view. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Downsides were the food which there was not much variety, if you like rice, pasta, stew, meatballs, occ chicken and salad then you will be fine. Eating out in Alanya is very cheap. my wife and i have just returned from a weeks holiday in this hotel..and how this place managed to achieve 4star rating is beyond me !!!..ive stayed in 2star accomodation better than this hotel .... we had to change rooms 3 times due to broken aircon, dirty carpets, broken bedroom fittings, smelly damp smells, etc.. the food was ok but not much to choose from, and if your a meat lover, just forget it !!!.. there is virtually no meat on the menu at anytime, and what little there is, is usualy a stewd dish of some sort.. staff were... more

We booked this holiday to Alanya as a late deal, and for £230 each (inc transfers etc) you can't complain. After visiting Bodrum in the past on two occassions and loving it we decided to give another area of Turkey a try. The hotel itself is out of the way from the main resort and Dolmus are frequent and only 1 Lira (about 30p). Taxis are only 20 lira back in the evening time which still is very cheap. The Hotel itself is by no means "4 STAR" The food was very basic and there was not a great deal of variety to choose from.... more

We stayed here one night before we transferred. After flying into Antalya Airport we were expecting (as we'd been told by the travel agents...) a 40min to maybe 1 hour transfer. NOT TRUE!! It actually took over 2 hours. This wasn't due to dropping other people at other hotels, as there was only us on the mini bus! On finaly pulling up to the hotel, I was shocked to see that the 'small road immediately in front of the hotel' was in actual fact a 2 lane motorway with a constant stream of large lorries, cars and tourist transfer buses... more

We have just returned from a week in Alanya, Turkey staying at the Sunshine Hotel on the outskirts of Alanya. The holiday was a real cheapy and only cost us £195 each for 4*AI (as it was described to us) so I wasn't sure what to expect for that price?? On arrival we were very impressed. It was a nice clean hotel and a bottle of water had been left on chill for us.
