we visited madeira for 5 nights and loved it, such a scenic island, some lovely tropical gardens, caves and mountains to drive over, we went beginning of dec and the xmas lights and decorations in funchal were fabulous.

Advice: fab scenery, highly recommend you hire a car to see this lovely island

Activities: we loved the caves, views over the mountains, the tropical gardens at monte, xmas lights

Good for: City Breaks
