Lisboa Regency Chiado Hotel

I went to Lisbon for a wekk end and I choose this hotel based in the reviews. When I went, the hotel was almost empty and we were upgraded to a fantastic room, with a fantastic terrace and a fantastic view, so there is nothing I can complaint about anything in this hotel. I would stay here again, for sure

If you are looking for a good location, book this hotel. Old town, restaurants, bars, shops, metro – all in a very short walking distance. Absolutely perfect. But if you are looking for good service or any hotel- or roomfacilities you better go somewhere else. For example: They serve breakfast until 10.30, but if you go at 9.45 you can only get some leftovers. No juice glasses, no more eggs, one slice of ham for all. And nobody cares about you. Small hotel in good location, but..... - our premium bedroom only had 3 small lights - housekeeping did not make up room till 2.30pm - no hairdryer, despite asking for one at check-in - erratic airconditioning, either freeze or bake Upscale area near shops, restaurants, transportation. Some staff very helpful, others did you a favor just answering a question.

The Lisboa Regency Chiado as so many things that make it an excellent hotel, that I do not know where to begin. I will start with the room with a terrace which overlooks the Old City. When booking, ask for one of these. We stayed in 717. There are so many food items for breakfast that it is hard to choose. the breakfast staff are friendly but then all of the staff are friendly. The Regency Chiado is nicely located - very close to a subway station, which allows fast connections to all interesting spots in the city. For those of you who would come by car there is a parking for clients (8 spaces, no booking possible) which we have not used during our staying because we felt safe to leave our car in front of the hotel doors. Stayed in Lisbon 12/04. Hotel is in an excellent location. Make sure you have a room with a view before you book. We had absolutely no view. This is somewhat difficult to explain, but the window was extremely small and placed in the extreme upper reaches of the wall. Therefore, we could not see the street below, only another building with very little natural light.. The staff spoke English well and were otherwise very helpful.

We had a fantastic time at this boutique hotel in July. The rooms were lovely and air-conditioned, the location was perfect and the staff were very friendly. The view of the city from the bar terrace is absolutely amazing and it is worth staying at this hotel just for the scenery. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will most certainly be going back in the not too distant future.

I've stayed at the Regency Chiado last year in May. The hotel has the best location of all hotels in Lisbon as it is right in the city centre. All the sights, shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Only the Gulbenkian museum (very nice) is a 20 minute walk. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, and they all speak English. Breakfast is wonderful. We've stayed in a standard double room, but I would recommend a room with a terrace as the view is stunning.

The lessor known Lisboa Regency Chiado is gem of a hotel, located in the downtown side of the Chiado district. You can walk to anywhere from here. The rooms and decor are terrific, the bar is marvelous, with a view across to the castle and Se, and all of downtown Lisbon. You walk out the front door right into the Chiado shopping district, and are close to the Alto Barrio.

A pleasant surprise. Great rooms, an incredible view and excellent service. Spend the extra 40 EUR and reserve a room with a terrace. The sunrise over the Baxia is awesome. Our room included breakfast so room service on the terrace cost only an extra 5 EUR. A perfect loctaion between the attractions of Baxia and Alfama and the restaurants and nighlife of Bario Alto. One can walk to most sites in Lisbon. A major metro station is directly below the hotel. I will definately stay here again.
