If you think positive about the holidays, you're holidays would only get better. I had an amazing time! Everyone was so nice, the guys in the bar was very charming.. and they work alot! It's crazy. I really enjoyed the holiday and the only thing I can complain about, is that I couldn't be there for more than 10 days.

- Reading these varied reviews, I am amazed that no-one has commented on this!! It was overpowering!! I realised later on in our stay that it must have been "walked-in" from outside, where pools of it could not have been seen in the dark, but it was so bad that I couldn't... more

I don't think the negative reviews went to the same hotel!!!!
I have now stayed at this resort twice this year, 2007, and have already booked to go back in September for my Birthday. It is a very well run hotel, clean and tidy despite the upgrading work going on. There are 4 swimming pools tennis courts etc, plus tv in the room. Yes the food is basic and the rooms have basic furniture but what do you expect for the money that you pay? The only real downside if you can call it that, is the lack of adult entertainment. The kids disco is the same every night, and most adults I spoke to would have been happier if they'd just move some chairs and tables back and carried on with the music so that the kids could dance and the parents would have had a boogie too. The bar staff are superb, keeping an eye on who needs serving next and providing friendly quick service. The only criticism is the amount of flies around the bar, but not much you can do to combat nature hey?!!! The beach is only 15 minutes walk away for those who are fed up of hearing the kids in the pool and it's a beautiful beach, so well worth the walk.Or you can catch the train for 2euros or a taxi for 4euros.All in all I highly recommend this hotel and am fully intending to go again next year as well, can't wait. Just don't increase the prices too much!!!!!!
first family hols abroad and it was quite good!!!
this was my first holiday abroad with my now husband and son aged 7.what i can remember it was a nice hotel. entertainment was a little bit of a let down but what into the town and it was better there. food was ok but did have a couple of nites out. went for a day out to waterpark which we all enjoyed.
worst holiday ever
no rooms ready when we got there raw pork chop for first meal.cold snacks in snack bar put on 10th floor although asked for 4 or lower due to vertigo and first put in a seperate block from the rest of our party.although this was rectified after refusing to leave rec.building work all day everyday bar sunday.food got worse as the week went on.running out of food dishes drinks etc .after paying over £1000 per couple a great dissapointment. If this was my first visit to majorca then it would have put me off but as i know other areas i would go back to those places but never this one!
glad to be home
Just back from a 10 nite stay art Eurocalas, Cala De mallora. i stayed from 13 june 07 to 23 june 07 and this was a last minute booking so I got it a lot cheaper than the brochure price thank god! I did not have a problem with our accomodation. I stayed in a two bedroom apartment, it had been remodinised and was ok even nice. There is alot of building work going on facing the hotel but to be honest it didnt bother me but it doesnt look good when you first arrive! The food was very, very basic even to say poor. There is no childrens food at all at tea time (cos of people complaining about the food they did bring out a small section for the children but that was towards the latter of the week) and to be honest the kids still lived off chips and bread! Thank god I like salad because if I didn't there would of been nothing to eat! The food just doesnt look good. I have to say that our maid came every day other than 2 days i think tuesday & saturdays, and she always replace the sheets and towels. There is four pools which I always found to be clean and well maintained. The entainment at the night got better as the days went on but I would say stil say below average. You can only ever get two drinks at the bar at once and they are the small plastic cups that you give to the children. So if you want a good drink you will have to stand at the bar otherwise you are forever getting up! I didnt send my kids to the kids club I just didn't like the set up at all! i preferred to keep my kids with me (normally the kids would love to go but they didnt even ask! The only good thing about this holiday is that the weather out there is absolutely gorgeous in the 90's every day, if it wouldnt have been so hot I dont know what we would have done because there is nothing near by to do only probably mini golf. I found it also very quite, there is not a big selection of bar at the shopping centre near by more gift shops. If I got offered a cheap deal again there, I probably still would not go. I didnt have a bad holiday we made some good friends I just glad to be home and I would not go back.
We Had A Lovely Time (you only get what you pay for)
we've just returned from 14 lovely days. myself, disabled husband and 4 year old daughter had a lovely time hotel improvements are taking place new play park/ room furniture/lighting etc but in no way affected our holiday. if your diet consists of chips/burgers/chicken nuggetsetc this is not the hotel for you yes during the day snack bar provides this but evening meal is just that A MEAL NOT JUNK FOOD there was traditional majorcan dishes veal, hake etc but what do you expect your in majorca not blackpool. the hotel staff were always helpful my husbands wheelchair got a puncture on day 2 the hotel staff repaired it then went to town for a new innertube all free of charge our room was the traditional 3 bedded room a little small for a wheelchair when i spoke to reception they moved us to a 1 bedroom appartment on the first floor with plenty of room. the evening entertainment was a little poor the enertainment staff tried to produce something from nothing. sunbeds plentyful no need for getting up in the middle of the night to put your towel out. most areas were clean and tidy.
Eurocalas - Do Not Go Near This Place
DO NOT GO - DO NOT GO - AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE Please if you have booked this place - change it now. It is surrounded by a building site and I mean a full street being built not just a few apartments. Food so bad I and children lived on chips and bread for 2 weeks solid. Entertainment is nothing more than a bunch of morons prancing around on the stage making complete fools of themselves. There was nothing at all for the children to do so we had them 24/7 with us. The mini-club was not safe children disappeared and none of the leaders even realised (not safe) all they did was colouring in for 1 hour and then gave scissors to 3 year olds. Club is not split between age groups they all do the same boring stuff. We never sent our children to these they had more fun with us. On day 10 I got out of the lift to find workmen in my room completeing renovating it with new beds and dressing tables. I complained immediately but they said they had informed me the work was happening (which they so had not) I told them they had emptied my dressing table with my underwear in and thrown them on the bed, I found this very distressing, but I was completely ignored. The staff and reps have no respect for you at all, to them you have paid your money and if you are not happy TOUGH not their fault. I will never return to this place or resort and maybe not even Majorca as I have been so upset about this holiday. The place to me should be call the Eurocrapas and blown up.
my dogs eat better(at least they get liver & kidneys)
Looked up the reviews, and just thought I'd add my own. Let's start with the food an ovious basic need, all I can say is thank god I was only there for one week. I have been on quite a few A.I holidays and I have to say I have never been on one where they serve the cheepest cuts of meat, for instance there is a picture of a Cow stating beef. This turns out to be tounge in a thick gravey. Then on another day there's a picture of a Pig stating Pork. On one day it was belly of pork and on another it was troters.(lovely NOT!) Then there was the good old CHICKEN! one day we were treated to not so good looking wing tips with more feathers than meat on and another day chicken with chocolate poured all over it. To go along with these was the good old CHIPS or PASTER no thought of may be offering boiled or rost potatoes or even pushed the boat out and souted some pots. Desert was bland and flavourless or doughy. I said it many times while I was there I feed my dogs better. Right lets leave the food and move to reception where on the 28th may at 21.30 their time I went to use the phone, the phone was faulty I told this to the nice young man on duty who said "Sorry i do not have keys for phone, come back tomorrow and money will be returned'. I asked if I should try the next phone he said ''Yes' so I did and I had the same problem. So back to nice chap on duty who at this time was busy with another lady, who was complaining that her grandson was sleeping on a bannana shaped bed, due to some slates being broken and on numerous times she had seen different people saying it would be changed and nothing was being done. She stated that the T.C rep had told her on too consecative nights that it would be soughted before she left that night and it never was,the lady was close to tears as the young chap asked her room num. And she said thats all they do is take her room num, and saying 'Si' the young man turned round and said not to worry as she was leaving on the saturday,to which she just looked stund and walked away saying she was going to send a formal letter of complaint, the young man then turned back to me, and I explained I'd had the same trouble, to which he took off behind the screen behind the counter and came out with the keys. He tryed the first box opened the money box I told him the num. and he found there was a fault with both phones, he then went back behind his counter when I asked for my euros back he told me I would still have to wait untill the next day, which seemed silly since he had just opened both money boxs,I did'nt argue I just collected the next day. None of the public toilets have soap in them I at one point or another I visited all of them. Lets go to accomadation even though I was travelling with my daughter and disabled mother when we finely got the card to our room, we were put on the third floor and what ever lift you took you had steps to get to the room, which was very difficult for my mum. Ever more so when both lifts were out for two days. We were told the rooms are not cleaned on thuresday and saturday the three times they did come in they just cleaned around things and we never got clean sheets once, other than that the room was basic if not over crowded with the colony of ants that we shared the room with, and again nothing was done about these. SWIMMING POOLS no chlorine in the water,NO life gaurds litter of all soughts all over the grounds just left to blow in to the pools and the pools were never cleaned the whole week we were there, my little one came home with ear infection in both ears. THE SNAK ROOM chips, burgers, sausage, spaggeti, assotted salad ,cakes. All left uncovered with swarms of wasps and flys staff just putting new food on top of old every hour or so.all I can say is we were looking forward to the on flight meals and they tasted fantastic. this trip was taken between 26th of may and the 2nd of june 2007
Never Again
Well what can i say other than. I would not be going back!! We had 7 nights all inclusive for 2 adults and one child. Day one and it all seems OK the sun is shining. If you like chips 7 days straight with No other option then you would be OK. 15 mins walk to the beach and shops NO mini bus to take you as stated in the broucher. Food was basic and awful really all week. Plastic glassed rolling around all over the place. These were the only glasses available. Kids running riot on there own in the resuaurant with scotters and no one commenting. Orange peel in the rice pudding and no oranges on the menu. Raw pork chops after a 25 min que for you main meal and the maid only arrived 3 times out of 7 days. Melted lollys on the staires which remained there all week. along with other rubbish that was never cleared away. the staff appeared to want to help on first impressions but nothing ever got done. All in all No i would not go back !! I could go on and on but i think you get the idea of what it was like !!
somewhere on the edge of Mallorca
Club Euro Calas A good site for family holls, a bit daunting for the family with early/late teens. The "entertainment" is relentless and somewhat remeniscent of an average Haven camp though, nowhere near as good. This place realy looks after the 4-8 year old, kids any younger and they cry (a lot) and kids any older and you won't be able to find 'em! We went AI and the food was good somedays, but awful on others, we would have preferred not to have been so tied down and make use of the area of bars and restaurants about 15 minutes walk away. Staff were average, sometimes accomodating, sometimes outright rude. The Cafe-bar food from the poolside bars was mostly greasy and mostly cold, Ice-creams were the best thing on the menu! The room was basic, reasonably clean , but cold at night. Transfer times seemed to take for ages. The trips into the northern mountains were fabulous. Do as many as you can, though contemplate locally arranged trips as always, they are cheaper. Some will love it, some will not. All in all
Great value for money, relaxing - bit boring in evenings
Read a lot of the previous reviews after already booking in June 2006 last-minute and have to say that none of them reflected our stay particularly. On the more negative side: - The site is characterless and the rooms are pretty basic but clean. There was not much to do in the evening and so to stay in your room felt a little claustrophobic (TV in German and Spanish) and the village centre was a walk away and was geared to English tourists rather than being authentically Mallorcan so there was no impetus to go out in the evenings. You could also hear into the next room which didn't feel too private at times. We had a fridge and a little kitchen though which was cool considering we paid about £200 for our hol. - Entertainment dire and cheesy - the kinder disco was amusing but the reps were a bit pushy and we took to hiding on the pool lilos rather than being forced into participation. Would have gone mad if it wasn't for the world cup and one night where there was a magician. The English reps were crap - unfriendly, pushy and couldn't be bothered so we avoided like the plague. - Barmen rude for the most part. I can speak Spanish and didn't like the way they told me off for ordering more than one glass of wine (at the end of the day it's all inclusive and I have already paid. No need to be so surly - I wasn't going to get blotto I just didn't want to queue) They were also creeping over the pretty women - yuk!! One line: "Hello Gorgeous. What do you want?My telephone number?" in Manuel/Fawlty towers English) On the plus side: - Food fabulous and plentiful throughout day - I don't eat meat but was surprised how Mallorcan/Spanish it all was. I cannot understand the complaints - there was chiperones, mallorcan stews, salads, fresh fish - merluza and bacalao - pasta and they also catered for those who just wanted chips etc. - Pools good - if a little crowded. Never had a problem getting a lilo but we spent more time at the beaches which were clean and inviting. - Coves nearby absolutely beautiful and the water crystal clear. You can get the little train down to the better beach and there are some good bars overlooking the water. - Plenty of excursions to be had - the caves of Drac and Palma (although a little far in the day) For a cheap holiday and the first ever package tour we have done we were impressed although a little bored at times in the evening. We put this down to the fact that normally when away we would wander out to a restaurant but here it was all on site. I'd take plenty of books and take advantage of the excursions but all in all - really good value for a week - two would be pushing it. Kids will love, teenagers will be bored.
