THB Club Eurocalas Reviews
" A really pleasant family hotel "
Submitted By: gigeri77check in - took about 15 mins to complete, receptionist spoke pretty good english and was polite.
room - we were told we would have an apartment that was suitable for 6 ppl. it was a large hotel room with a small kitchenette attatched to it. travelling as a group of 2 adults, 2 kids and a baby, it just wasnt big enough but not one to complain, we grit our teeth and got on with it. It was clean, had a/c, a balcony and a fair sized bathroom. there were 2 single beds pushed together, a camp bed squashed between the main beds and the balcony doors, a wooden sofa/bed opposite the main beds and the cot was in the kitchen as there was no room anywhere else. The maids cleaned and changed bedding/towels every other day and were very friendly.
food - the food was lovely, lots of choice for mains, lots of fresh fuit and salad, wasnt so hot about the desserts but i am fussy so was expecting it. only thing was the MAD queue's for chips, and fried eggs in the morning's. but the eggs were well worth queueing for mmmmmm.
entertainment - basic at best, lots of ''superman'' and ''i am the music man'' lol but the kids seemed to like it, not my kids, but most of the other kids. we walked to the main commercial centre every night (a 10 min walk) just for a change of scenery and some karaoke.
staff - on the whole very friendly and helpful. but as u can expect, the hours they put in are gruelling so they were testy at times.
cleanliness - couldn't complain it was well maintained, gardeners out every day and the only rubbish u seen was what ppl made round there loungers.
pools - there were 4 pools. a shallow pool, 2 larger pools that had slopes leading into them, which both were quite deep in the middle, and a pool near the entertainment square which had a infant bit barriered off.lifeguard was always texting on his mobile so dont know if he would have jumped in to save anyone in trouble.
location - 10 min walk to night spot. 10 min walk to a beach thet had lots of steps leading down to it so not recommended for buggies or anyone with walking aids. another beach about 20 min walk with much better access via ramps. both beautiful.taxi rank near night spot, quite cheap, 5 euro seemed to get u anywhere lol.
on the whole a very enjoyable holiday but personally i would rather go somewhere a bit more lively. hope this has helped you make up your mind.HAPPY HOLIDAYS x x x
Advice: small and reserved
Activities: Pizza D'alfil was great for karaoke, Rock Cola Cafe,
Good for: Beach

Submitted By: Duckie- The kitchen staff work very hard to keep up with the vast numbers of guests in the dining room, but sometimes it was better to take the freshly-replenished chips and go back for the rest of the meal later..........
- The resort itself isn't very exciting and there are much better areas to visit.
- Don't try it if you don't like children - the place is swarming with them!!
" Amazing "

this hotel is deffinately more geared for families with young children, although i did enjoy my stay at club eurocallas i don't think i would recommend it to a friend.

Submitted By: Mrs K HughesThe reps worked really hard, they were there from early morning til gone 11 at night, you've got to take your hats off to them! Bar staff were also a bit on the moody side, but they were seen clearing breakfast dishes from early morning and then they were pulling drinks til 12 at night so maybe a bit understandable really.
Studios very basic but very clean, would reccommend paying the extra for an apartment, well worth the money as they were huge.

Submitted By: Mrs An0nymousFood was great, but no-one wants to eat all inclusive all week, you need to go out and eat once or twice. This is just a fact not a complaint.
Absolutely great value for money and no complaints from us at all.

Submitted By: Mr M D HoughtonWe arrived at Palma airport then travelled 2hrs 20 mins on Coach though space hopper, I would encourage you to book a transfer with taxi company as it's a right trek on the Coach.
When we arrived at reception we got a pleasant greeting from the lady in reception, who ushered us through to the restaurant to get lunch before it closed (nice gesture).
We then arrived in our room, the room was very spacious and extremely clean, had a clean kitchen area and Fab Air con. The TV was a little disappointing as we only had 2 english channels euro sport and CNN news : (
The food was very repetitive in terms of the main dish, but having said that there is lots of fruit and veg available. Beware the food is covered in olive oil and my children where sick on a couple of occasions.
The bar staff were very rude unless you tipped them.....and they spoke very little english, if you have children i wouldn't send them to the bar for soft drinks as they often get dismissed.
The entertainment was ok, not great but the kids enjoyed it.
If your after a good bargain holiday and a clean room, I would recommend this holiday, however if its good food you want and you want to be closer to the beach I would choose another hotel, as the beach is about a mile away from the hotel.

Submitted By: Mrs M RattiAfter an hour an a half transfer, despite having a very fast coach driver suffering from road rage, we arrived at our hotel feeling travel sick and to be told we were not booked in!! Luckily after some discussion, we were given two rooms quite close together.
On route to our rooms our hearts sank and we thought to ourselves, 'what hell hole have we come to!!'. We were taken to the furthest block of flats, past an area of VERY smelly bins and up two flights of stairs. There were no lifts in sight and we had a pram and a buggy to carry up to our room. We did later discover a lift however we still had to go down several steps (bouncing the buggies and babies) despite using the lift. After asking to change rooms I soon realised that the reception staff were not the friendliest!
Thankfully the room was a reasonable size but alas there was no cot! There was air con, although it appeared to be lacking in power! We were provided with a travel cot for the remainder of our stay, once our booking had been confirmed. The room proved adequate for our needs. The balconies are very small and we were joined by a troop of 'ant' type crawleys in our bathroom. The room was cleaned every other day and when we pointed out our visiters, the maid was quick with the spray!.
The food was very good for a three star with plenty of selection. The lunch time menu seemed to better than the evening. It would have been nice to have seen the grill chef smile and look as if he was in a hurry to feed the starving customers who were queing at his counter!. There is plenty of fresh fruit on offer and the desserts are great!
The swimming pools are very good, but do get deep quite quicklY. There appeared to be plenty of sunbeds. The snack bar is handy, although the menu is the same every day...burgers, chips...
There are two beaches near by, the nearest being very quiet, however there are many steps to walk down to get to both and this proved impossible with our two buggies.
The shopping complex is about 10 mins away and is fun to walk around, especially as there is a small fun park for young chilren with go-karts, bouncy castle etc.
The entertainment was okay, but seemed more geared towards the children.
The weather was fantastic so we made the most of the pools. On a Thursday there is pony riding at the complex which my daughter really enjoyed. If the weather had been terrible I am not sure what we would have done. On our last morning we requested an early breakfast as we were leaving early. We went to the restaurant and found we had been left some of the last evenings food! no cereal or fresh bread!
We had fun, but will not go there again.

Submitted By: Miss T StantonBefore we went we read mixed reviews on the hotel and didnt know what to think. The transfer with hopper was good but hold on and wear your seat belt it can get a little hilly.
the hotel itself was very nice a big complex with plenty to do. the people on reception spoke english very well were happy to give you any help you needed and aswer all your quesiton.
food- the food was what you could expect from an all inclusive holtel quite repetative but the quatlity was good and there was somthing for everyone, it was always being toped up and the tables were cleaned and tidy the hole time ready for you to eat what ever time you arrived. drinks were on tap but there was also a bar was well with all the alcohol you will need. there was also a snack bar which we used once or twise with the basic burgers and chip but still perfectly edible.
room- the rooms were all very nice i cant complain the airco was unreal and everyone had a small balcony , kicten and bathroom the only thing i would say it that we had a few stray ants around a sink but a shoe did the job and they didnt return. the views were not that great we couldnt see the sea even though we were told you could but you didnt look onto a road which i guess is the main thing. there is a safe but you have to pay 5 euros and 6 deposit that you get back but i would say it was worth it. the beds are changed once a week and tolwes almost everyday.
activitives- when we looked at the website we saw that pool and many other sports were included this was not the case. you did have to pay for air hockey pool and other games but sports were run for over 18s daily like shooting and darts. there are too pools and a further 2 smaller once which were not heated but quite refeshing after the heat. there were plenty of sunbeds but if you wanted a certain place you did have to get up early.the night time shows were really not great but the kids enjoyed it anf there were different people with stoles who came at the same time as the night shows everynight so you were not board. the holtel run loads of trip and we went to aqualand, marineland and the PIRATE SHOW which although is quite a way away if you can go it really was spectacular!!!
over all the beach was not far away and was nice but nothing special the town had the usally shops but was not far away about a ten minute walk there was also mini golf and some very nice restaurants our favourite the pizzaria with some great desserts!! the holtel was clean tidy and good value for money i would recomend it to familys or anyone looking for a break but if you want to be out and about it is a bit far away from everything but if you dont mine a coach fine. we would not return because we like to go somewhere different each year but we had a great time and miss the security man loads.
hope this has helped
