THB Club Eurocalas

After visiting some review sites, I have to say I was a little wary of going to Club Eurocallas, but I was wrong.
The apartment we had, for two adults, two children, and one infant, was plenty big enough with loads of storage fully equipped kitchen and beautiful view from balcony. Also was very clean with beds made every day. The complex was very well laid out with ‘4’ yes that’s right 4 great pools, very shallow one for the small kiddies then a lagoon shaped main pool which was fantastic, a smaller beach styled pool then basic shape with shallow kiddies pool within. There was only one small playground, which wasn’t too bad, but the kids couldn’t go on it after dinner because everything had baked in the sun all morning and the slide was in direct sunlight. The grounds and plants were kept immaculate every day. The restaurant was massive and the food wasn’t too bad, not much variety for children at evening meal, but we managed. We thought the food was great loads of choice but not up to children’s standard!!! The staff in the restaurant were also very helpful and friendly, trying to help you make out what was for dinner!! It was also immaculately clean.
The only grouch we had was with the bartenders who seemed to like playing god, making up different rules about how many drinks you were allowed to have every time you went up to the bar. We were all inclusive so we expected to be able to go up to the bar whenever we felt like it. There were lots of toilets dotted about and most of the time they were fairly clean, which was good for us with 3 kids constantly in and out. We did feel that they had tried with the entertainment but could have been better. Although we did all, enjoy ourselves. Daytime entertainment was great for my ten year old boy but not so great for my six year old girl, but she made up for that with dancing at night!!
There were seventeen of us who went on this holiday, one person lost his luggage, and I have to say the rep, Chris, couldn’t have helped him more.
All in all, I would say that our stay at this hotel was great, but I would not go back to Callas de Mallorca. There wasn’t enough going on for us, we don’t like it commercialised, but there really was nothing to do. Oh and the beach near the hotel was only accessible down some very steep steps, so with a buggy and 3 children in tow we gave it a miss, although the beach in the main town was lovely, but because it was a good 20 mins walk we only went there once and made the best of the hotel pools.
