Firstly, please note that if you do not want a long transfer to the hotel, arrange a taxi transfer as it is very far from the airport. It took 2 and a half hours to get to the hotel, dropping others off on the way. There were two aduls and a toddler on our holiday, and... more

Nice Family Holiday from A TripAdvisor Member
I have just returned from a week at this hotel in Calas De Majorca, and myself like others were worried by the reviews I read before I went. Please DONT worry. This hotel is lovely. Very clean with friendly staff. The food was lovely. There was a salad bar on offer everyday, lunch and dinner time, and a variety of different dishes each day which were all lovely. The rooms were basic and a little on the small side but we managed ok and there were 3 of us. The maids came round everyday. The only downside was the 1 and a quarter hour journey from the airport to the hotel so be prepared for that. I would definately recomment this hotel for families of young children, up to the age of 12...not really for teenagers of couples looking for a quiet secluded holiday. I travelled with my 2 boys aged 13 and 9 and they loved it. The pool was perfect and again very clean. Please bare in mind though if you purchase a dinghy from the on site shop you CANNOT use them in the hotel pool. Just returned from a week in the club cala romani , 2 adults and 2 children aged 6. We had a fab holiday, really enjoyed ourselves. down side was the size of the rooms they were small with 4 beds no where to walk ! Very hot too. The drinks were watered down at the bar but the staff were great people, the most friendliest Spanish I've ever met. Also the food was nice, always found something nice to have and the kids did too. It wasn't very busy just about right i wouldn't go height of the Summer though as there were 3 blocks to the hotel with them full can imagine it being too over crowded. Always got a lounger and shade, we had 4 days of scorching weather and then 1 day of rain and winds and it was chilly ? very wierd. The Volando entertainers were lovely, all Italian and some did speak english, Martina and Guiedo were great, always on the go. We loved the songs and dancing, yes its cheesy but that's what a holiday is all about, going with the flow. Mixture of nationalities which was nice not being all brits. The town was small but nice, a square basically, bought some lovely things. Karaoke bar is a scream ! Worth a visit. The staff in there are great, Eduardo is hilarious, looks like right said fred !But he was really friendly and loved the kids. I would go back, but so many other places to try first. But great for the May holidays. If you are going just go and enjoy it, a holiday is what you make it, i read some reviews before we went and was worrying but it turned out much better than id imagined and thought don't always believe what you read people love to moan !!!! We went to fuertenventura last year the 4 of us and this was much better holiday overall. The beach is lovely, not very big but do go for a swim the sea is gorgeous. Had a ride on the train not much to see on that... nightly entertainment wasn't bad either, we had some great shows and lots for the women too ! Makes a change eh ? Missing Majorca at the mo !!

we returned for the 2nd year running this time going for 2 weeks instead of 1 and taking my brother his wife my niece and me mum, yet again another superb holiday and a great entertainment team, as did last time my 2 boys cried all the way to the airport and still miss it now we will be returning for the 3rd time this time though taking the newest recruit of our family the baby, if you have kids or babies this place is ideal as there is plenty of shaded areas were you can keep them out of the sun. we will all be returning very soon

Lovely hotel room, fantastic pool, lovely beach and then.... the food!! End of season accepted, but no snack bar, no pizza place, bar closed. Lack of entertainment, lack of a life guard. Food was appalling, very little choice, luke warm, restaurant smelled foul. Lots of people were complaining to no avail. Dont accept paying so much for inadequate service.

The Club Cala Romani is a nice Hotel & the food is good But we had to move to another hotel after two nights because the bathrooms are not accessible for people who cannot get out of their wheelchairs. despite being told that they had never had any problems with wheelchairs in the past, the lifts are also very tiny & my wifes wheelchair had to be folded to fit in which would have been impossible if she had not been able to stand out of it while in the lift.

We arrived at Club Cala Romani on 5th September 05 with my two children and my partners two children. The pools were lovely and clean, the rooms were basic but clean, the food was edible, no one would starve as there is a variety and when you think of how many people the chef's have to please, I think they do a great job. The entertainments team are superb, Brian, Nick and Marianne have time for everyone and the evening cabarets were great. There are activities throughout the day from 10am, we tried rifle shooting, pistol shooting, archery, volleyball and football, but there are many more activities. The town is 5 minutes from the Hotel and is very friendly. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who has an active family. They would never be bored. We are hoping to go back in September 06.

We went at the end of August into the begining of September 05, great pool, clean and with a life gaurd. Wish I could say the same about the toilets you used that were by the pool area, they were disgusting to be frank. Food ok could be better and without the race to get to a table at breakfast and lunch. Evening meal time was not such a task to get a table. Staff in the restraunt could have been a bit more patient with people, they did not like you getting in their way. Rooms a bit on the small side, there were five in our room. They were cleanish. Had a problem on our floor of people missplacing things, I missplaced some english money not much around ten pounds in change, this was on the first full day there. To stop me or my family loosing anything else from the room, before we went out everything went into the suit case and then was locked. All money and valuables where locked in the security box which cost approx 12 euro I think, well worth it for the week. Saved us a lot of money. We were not the only people that had a memory lapse to where they had put things, alot of people on our floor had the same thing, must have been the change of air. People reported this problem to the hotel reception, I did the same and my oppinion was they were not very helpful. The area itself was lovely, quiet but that is what we wanted, about five mins walking there are shops and bars with an arcade and some rides for young children and toddlers. Would go back to calla de mallorca, would go back to the pool at romani just would not stay at the aparthotel again
Great pools, poor choice of food particularly for Vegetarians from HolidayFrenzy
Have recently stayed at Cala Club Romani. Overall the hotel complex was well maintained and clean. No problem with sunbeds as regardless on what time we settled down by the pools i.e early am, lunchtime etc, we were able to get them. Great pools, three at the centre of the complex and a very shallow kiddies 'dish' like one within a private garden area. However this pool was dangerous as around the rim of the pool it was concreted and slippery. Lost count on the amount of kids and parents alike that slipped down when running, walking into this pool. There is a small kids play area, with slides and swings. Be wary for small infants on the slides as they are made very slippery when water is poured down them to make the sliding faster. not much of a soft landing at the bottom. Hotel apartments were basic but clean. However you have to hire pots, pans, kettle, toasters, cutlery which can add up to an incurred substantial cost. Recommend hiring a fan as no Air Con in rooms and they get very hot even at night in summer seasons. Well advised to hire a security locker in your room at approx 31 euro's for two weeks. When we was there, one floor had been targeted with thefts!!! Food in the restaurant was okay but abit bland and small salad selection. No choice for vegetarians unless you like eating pasta or pizza! Restuarant more like a canteen and you had to queue to get in. It was abit like being herded like cattle when going to eat at Lunch or Dinner time. Daytime Music Entertainment around the main pool complex was loud and the same music tracks were played everyday. General entertainment in the evening was okay although a shame it was indoors. Would of been nice if night time entertainment was outside to make use of the nice outdoor surroundings. There is a nice relaxing terrace bar in the main hotel adjacent to reception area where you could chill out whether sitting inside or out. Overall the hotel itself was okay although we felt it was too big for both an all inclusive and S/C hotel. Entertainment stopped at midnight meaning it was good when you don't want late night noises/activities when you are trying to put the kids to bed or want an undisturbed sleep yourself ! Mixture of nationalities visited this hotel, British, Italian, French and German. Kids club Volando is Italian Centred. Location ideal and only approx 5 minutes from the town. 10 minutes walk to a beautiful beach.

2 Adults 2 Children The pools are good,the rooms are very very small .People staying in one of the apartments reported lots of valubles ,ipods,jewelry etc........ .One woman lost a necklace with her dead parents pictures in that they gave her ,This also went walkies when the maids came in.The food is nice but its basicaly the same every week.The entertainment is ok.The bar men are good and so are soom off the reps.The toilets are very clean but by the ping pong tables they are very dirty.The local town is very good for buying things on the cheap.Overall this hoilday wass ok ,the worst thing being was the maids and rooms your sincerley Arnold JoJo khafijo

I cannot praise this club enough, we had a really great holiday, every aspect of it was outstanding, the food, beautiful swimming pool area, the facilities, entertainment, staff etc. We had our 3 children with us, the youngest only 15 months. We will definately go back again and would highly recommend it.
