we just got back from this holiday,my boyfriend and i took our 3 children,we were excited after seeing the pics as looked really nice,but was not impressed when we got there,it took 2 hours on the transfer where they jumped from one side of the island to the other dropping people off, when we finally got there we didnt seem keen on the look of it from the outside, but yet again dont judege a book by its cover as we walked in and was quite nice.
receptionist was rude and not helpful, no map to show where our room was, and the wrong number as the room was 2118 yet when i went back she said you had to take 1st number off which was not explained in the first place,as we walked through everyone had a problem at staring all the time, the room was clean when i got to it,our tap was broken and it took them 3 days before they came in to fix it and that was after asking them twice , the cleaners didnt really do a good job on cleaning the rooms as our sheets were not changed in the 7 nights we were there, the towels were not changed unless u left them on the floor and there was a couple of times i left them on the floor and came back and they were still there, the swimming pool was nice for the kids, also the beach was nice as well, the food was horrible, the breakfast consist of hotdog sausages, either fried egg or scrambled egg which taste like it was burnt, bean and tomatoes and on the odd day bacon it was all sat in fat and they served chips for breakfast, lunch and dinners consist of the same really, salad which was not really a good combination no salad cream,either fish or meat always with chips potatoes and always pasta and the bolonaise sauce was a tin of tomatoes, even my 2 yr old daughter didnt want to eat the food thats how bad it was, all my son ate was pasta it was discraceful for what we paid,the evenings were ok had a good few nights there . everyone was rude there walking infront of you even if you had a pram which we did as have a 6 month baby, they push the town was nice had a few good milkshakes but the question is would we go back NO WAY i do not reccommend this to anyone at all iv paid less and had better

really lovely holiday overall, we were a family of 4 with 2 children aged 6 and 3 and stayed for 2 weeks and we all had great time. apartment was large (corner room in galatzo block, good views and cleaned daily. pools were excellent. plenty of sunbeds to go round. The pool area was cleaned daily. never queued more than 5 mins for drinks. food perfectly adequate basic meals, good selection at breakfast, lunch was good and had the odd special dish of paella or seafood pasta and evening meals consisted of pasta, pizza, rice, fish, meat. there were unlimited icecreams for kids most of the day and slush to drink. beach less than 10 min walk away, very pretty cove. town 5 mins away, few bars and restaurants and some nice shops. play area for children in town with bouncy castles, go-karts etc.
Advice: quiet family resort
Activities: beautiful beach, excellent food at the indian and chinese restaurants!

Stayed at Carla Romani with my wife and two 12 year old grandchildren, booked blindly as had never been to this side of the island before. The complex is big probably to big for meeting up and getting to know fellow travellers. First thing I must point out is the it has a very strong Geeman clientel, followed by a mix of Brits, French, Italians and Spanish. We had a one bedroom apartment that was overlooking the mountains, it was ok, clean and towells got changed regularely. The Lifts in the appartment block were old and tatty and sometimes did not work. The building structure was typically Spanish and lacked total sound proofing you could hear what the world and his wife were doing in the appartment next door. The biggest plus was the pool areas kids loved them, plenty of sunbeds and plenty of area to sunbathe including grass areas. The food was ok but did get a bit repetative especially for the kids but there was plenty of food all day for those that missed the main meals. A I drinks were ok but did not have wrist bands had a plastic type credit card with a photo of the family on only problem kept misplacing the damn thing. Entertainment left a lot to be desired and bordered on boring some nights especially when compere had to translate into about 3 or 4 different languages before anything could commence. One rufuge the town is only about 100 yards up the road with plenty of bars. If you like the beach there are two nice sandy coves about ten minutes walk. We enjoyed our stay and were lucky to have wall to wall sunshine for 7 days', would I go back, probably no would prefer smaller hotel or complex.
Advice: Nice place,bit of a journey from airport especially when you stop and drop at every hotel on the way

this is a well good hotel. went there with mum, her boyfriend and 4 month old (now 5 and a half months) little brother. fantastic pool, all different depths. the hotel doesnt look much from the front, but inside is amazing. the rooms arent that big but very clean. you get fresh towels every day as well as your room being tidied. its about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the beach, despite how many say a 5 minute walk. beach is lovely, quite crowded so it's best to get there early. the breakfast could've lasted a little longer, only goes up till about 10 (as far as i can remember.) computers are provided in this hotel, and are often not busy. its quite a family like hotel, full of kids. the town is a 2 min walk away, too. awesome pubs and shops. decent hotel all together tho. would definatley go again.
Advice: Loved it; definatley a family place.
Activities: All restaurants are great. Some nice things to see round the town, a couple of English bars, too.

This was our 1st family holiday aboard. We have a 2 and a 3 year old. What a fantastic hotel. We had a 1 bed apartment which had 2 sofa beds in the lounge area, a fridge and 2 cooker rings. Cleanliness of room was great bed linen changed every 2/3 days, clean towels every day if needed to be changed. Food was great aswell, a wide variety of choice every day. Main restaurant was open for breakfast lunch and dinner, then inbetween those times a side room on the main restaurant was opened as the snack bar...which had a variety of salads, hot and cold food, drinks and breads...which was great if you woke up late and missed breakfast or got peckish in the afternoons. The pool bar had a great variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks aswell as little tubs (about the size of a yogurt pot) of ice creams too! The hotel would provide you with a picnic to if you were going to the beach or out for the day...you just pop to reception and reserve one then pick it up the next day from the pizzeria (next to pool bar). Animation team were a great bunch of people who provide the guests with sports/games from a.m til late afternoon then they put on a show in the evening. There is a minidisco for the kids from about 8:30 til 9:45ish, then 10'o'clock there is a show on.
The beach is a 10-15min stroll from the hotel but does get packed however it is a beautiful beach with clear water and clean sand. I would go back to the Cala Romani and defo recommend this hotel to anyone.

Advice: Laid back resort, not really for the clubber as not really lively. Very family orientated

My husband and I along with our 3yr old daughter have just returned from 10 days at the Club Cala Romani, what a brilliant holiday! We read all the reviews online before we went and were slightly worried about what we might face, especially having read the comments about the food, rude staff and being swarmed with wasps etc. I must say the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite, the food was brilliant, always hot, plenty of choice, yes there was chips & pizza available every day if you (or your child) wanted it, but my daughter ate pretty much everything that was on offer - lovely fresh salads, ham, cheese, breads, fruit, beef ragout(which was lovely), lamb & pork chops/steaks, fresh veg daily and fish also available - I could go on....... Yes there were wasps around the poolside, naturally there will be if you don't clean up any spills you (or your children) make, slush puppies, coke, ice creams etc are sweet so wasps will follow it - just sloosh it down with some water - don't leave it there and you won't be pestered by wasps. The accomodation: we booked an apartment which gave us twin beds in one room with balcony and bathroom and another room (connected by a small lobby) which had 2 sofa beds, bathroom, balcony and small kitchenette which had sink, fridge and 2 ring electric hob - no pans or kettle provided but kettle can be hired from reception (think this costs approx 12 euros for 7 days). The beach: Beach is a 10-15 mins stroll down a path, it was quite crowded though, only went there once to have a look but chose to stay round the childrens pool in the complex which was lovely (very clean and safe for my 3yr old). Entertainment staff were great, really catered for the children especially the mini disco 8pm -9pm at night, our daughter loved it. All in all a great holiday.
Advice: Great for families, not suitable for couples without young kids

Just returned from the Cala Romani after an 11 night stay, this was our 2nd visit after visiting in 2007.I think that sometimes when you are returning to the same place it is not the same but this was not the case at the cala romani, it was even better! I was travelling with my wife and our 11 children aged from 15 down to 4 months they all loved it there was something to keep everyone happy, the food was fantastic the staff all worked so hard, service was very good both at the bar and in the dining room.The entertainment staff never stopped from morning till night. I have read lots of other reviews on different web sites and to be honest i can't find anything negative to say.I have to admit that when you are travelling abroad with 11 children you worry a little that the food, pool etc is going to be ok for the kids but there are no worries here,hotel is spotlessly clean maid service every day. We will be returning again next year for our 3 rd visit for a fantastic value for money holiday. I have been staying in cala de mallorca for years but never stayd in this hotel, it is by far the best it doesn't look much from the front but its fantastic.
Our room was small so we had to upgrade as had 2 children under 5 but lets face it hopefully you won't be in your room much.
The rooms were cleaned everyday and everywhere was spotlessly clean.
I would highly recommend for people with children.....the pools were fantastic and my little boy who was 17 months could run in and out of the pool all day. The pools are walk in pools which was great for the children and no nasty big steps.
The evening entertainment is fantastic and my daughter couldn't wait for the mini disco every night.
The beach is only a 10 minute walk away down the hotel's private path.
The food was great always something to eat, with fresh salad, pasta and fruit.
fruit juices and a wide selction of puddings too.
The snack bar is great when restaurant was shut and had a wide range of snacks.
There is a shop on site that sells everything and also little trade stands selling things in the evening.
All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and most could speak very good english.
I am definatly going back again next year.
I would say this is a family hotel and not for people that want a quiet break without chidren.

Just got back from this hotel and want to go back already, I went with my mum and my 2year old son and we had a wicked time, the staff are friendly and helpful, When we got there our room was to small and they changed us straight away with no bother.
The food was nice there was something for everyone and when the resturant was shut there was a snack bar cafe that was open till 11 at night and it served all different food and was fresh all day.
The drinks were in good sized cups and glasses for an all inclusive hotel.
They kept the children and adults entertained all day and involved the childen in the night time too with kiddies disco and games and stuff for the adults too.
It has a private path along to the beach and a childrerns play ground with a splash pool, not to mention three other pools one for the children one a big bigger and an adult one.
The hotel is five minutes away from all shops and bars.
I will def be going back it is a lovely family hotel and great for children all ages.

We booked this holiday as a family of 5 rating from 2 years to 50+ and i can honestly say for my first holiday abroad it was an absolute pleasure, from start to finish. We were met on arrival late at night at reception by a gentlemen that was straight to the point but polite. Told us where our accommodation was and where to get something to eat. After reading the reviews the apartment was a nice surprise plenty of room for the five of us and clean. Beds made and plenty of clean towels everyday. Not much of a view but who wants to sit on the balcony all day. 3 spacious pools and all clean (which is more than i can say for a lot i have been to in England)

my boyfriend and i (19 and 22) stayed at the hotel for 10nights on a last minute break and got exactly what we would expect for what we had paid. we wanted a relaxing holiday with more lively places to go in the evening and beach nearby.
FOOD was ok, not the best but what do you expect for 3* we just had a laugh about it cos we were planning to eat out some evenings anyway. but stay away from the prawns they squirt out BLOOD!!!!!!
BEACH was lovely it was abit small but in september that seemed to be ok and it was never toooo crowded, path leads straight from the poolside down to the beach and there was a train that took people with buggys and stuff aswell from out the front.
TOWN itself was alright not exactly lively but there was about 10 restaurants&bars where we ate out quite abit, the food was excellent everywhere we ate out and pretty good value id reccomend you eat out some nights. and two nightclubs but we didnt go to those.

My holiday was booked for the Belsana Hotel only it was full hence we were sent to Club Romani.We got to bed at 4.45am after leaving Gatwick at 21.15.
However this is catering more for families where as we were two senior citizens but we made the best of the holiday.My main complaint is that we found that reception staff could have been more helpfull.As we were not at our booked hotel we were concerned as to the pick up by Transfer coach and as such asked a member of staff to phone for us which was refused.Even though I explained my problem of not speaking Spanish I was told this would not be a problem but it was.In the end after loosing 3.50euros I thought the best bet was to ring England direct which I did.As for the food we found it rather sad that there were chips every day,most mornings breakfast food was cold and no brown sauce.As for the sweet well the main fruit every day were tinned pears nothing different.The really good thing about the hotel was that we were given a photo card for all inclusive instead of the plastic braclet in most other places

We booked our holiday even after reading terrible reviews of this hotel because we were booking a last minute cheap package. In the past we have never had a bad experience and thought we would take our chances with this one.
We were greeted by a very rude man on reception who could not be bothered to explain where our room was. We were situated a long distance from the main part of the hotel in what can only be described as a council tower block. However we were pleasantly surprised to find that 3 of us had an appartment consisting of a twin bedded room, spacious bathroom, large lounge with three sofa beds, kitchen, dining area and an enormous balcony.
The beach is quite a distance from the hotel, quite a bit further than is suggested. The pool is huge but not relaxing as loud music and announcements are blasted out frequently.
The town is only a short walk away but apart from a nice british cafe for breakfast and the china town for dinner, it has nothing to offer a holidaymaker. There are only a few cafes claiming to be restaurants, two bars with no atmosphere and numerous tacky shops.
The worst part of this holiday was definitely the food. There is no variety, just one meat and one fish each meal. The bread is hard, the meat is grey and processed, the vege is soggy, the potatoes taste like fish, the salad is dry and the pudding is sloppy. I would not even call it like school dinners, more like prison food, although prisoners are probably served better. We all came away feeling very sluggish and put off food for a while.
There is plenty of variety at the bar but i would not recommend the cocktails as they come out of a pre mixed machine - nice.
The cleaners are not very good either.
Overall i would not recommend this resort to anyone as it is oversized, chavvy, dirty and you are served slop by rude members of staff.
Oh and the entertainment is like a bad butlins.
