Just back since 26/6/2010. 11 of us spent 12 days here. Children from 1 to 17. Everything about it was excellent. Rooms with poolview (but we did book in January), food amazing (chips every day, but nobody forced them on us!!!. Plenty of fresh fruit and salads and pasta, so could not complain). Staff were the best every. Always in great form. Entertainment was very good. Met families who never left the hotel complex. (we hired a Minibus, so felt we better do some touring, but there were days when nobody wanted to travel). Will definitely return. Reception staff were very helpful. Absolutely none of our party had any problems.
- Advice: Beach a bit on the small side

just returned after a 10 day holiday what a brilliant place my 10 year old and my 8 year old had a brilliant time they didnt want to come home. rooms were standard but after all you only sleep in them very clean towels and sheets changed regualy a little noisy on the road side though.
Food was good could do with a little more choice if you have fussy eaters it can be a bit difficult said their was i pizza bar but that was not open why we were their all inclusive is a must bar exellant no waiting around as you help yourselfs. must meet dave the bar man what a nice guy. pools were cold but very clean and spacious entertainment was good mai was lovely, and croissant as they call him what a star everyone loves this guy really good with the kids and of course nice and freindly with the adults after being their 2 days he knew most of the childrens names. beach 5 min walk not a large beach just a cove but very nice. Transfers what a night mare was told when i booked it would take 45mins to a hour well 2 hours not good windy roads nutty drivers this is all i have to complain about. will def return next year but will book own transfers.
If you need a nice budgeted holiday this is for you.
we went last week in may and first week june hot enough no waiting for drinks or food lots of available sun beds. i would not go july or august as very busy and am told you have to wait for eveything. keep up the good work

we have just come back a 12 day holiday at club cala romani hotel, this was our 3rd visit at this resort and is most definitely one of the best we've been to! the entertainment and activities are excellent making it an ideal family holiday, especially for kids -our three children(aged 10, 12 and 14) love it here. it is great value for money; the food quality/presentation was fantastic, although the variety is slightly repetent, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and there are a variety of sport activities ranging from bowls, pool games and dodgeball for younger children to volleyball, archery and football for adults. the play area, toilets and pools are very clean and there are plenty of seats and sunbeds to go round.the dining hall was immaculate and the cleaners came to our room each day, changing our beds and replacing towels etc which was very helpful. the bar staff are very friendly with great personalities and there are a wide range of drinks and ice cream. the entertainment in the evening is fantastic; the kenyan boys (acrobatics), circus and magic show were absolutely outstanding. there is also a 'minidisco' for younger children earlier on in the evening. All of the staff (especially those working in the kitchen)work incredibly hard and deserve a pat on the back. overall, a brilliant complex.

Have spent 10 nights in Club Cala Romani Hotel. Defenatley one of the best hotels i've been to!
Hotel staff were great and lovely personality.
Food was a little repetetive but still very tasty and nice. The pool was lovely and warm and massive! Really enjoyed! The beach was lovely too although about a 5 min walk but it was a nice stroll. And could take a picnic that you could get from the hotel.
The room were lovely and clean could get a little hot at times but you would just open the door slightly nothing drastic.
At night the bars are open 'till 12pm then we would move downstairs where you could get more drinks!
Defenatly an enjoyed holiday with hot weather and are going back next year! A great holiday to go on.
A family of 5 14yr old, 9yr old and 11yr old and mum and dad.
- Advice: A great holiday and would advise to anyone

ok, were just back from 2 weeks at this resort, this is the first time we have been all inclusive wirth 3 kids.we found it great value for money.the staff were very friendly they all knew us by our first names they even had a drink with us at the bar when they were finished.there was plenty to do the have sports on every hour or near enough every hour ranging from shooting, archery, volley ball, football, mistery games, darts, pool, the list goes on ,these are for both adults and children, the winner gets a gold medal or certificate on stage.they wash the whole area every day.the pool was clean the play park was clean the kitchens are immaculate.i got a tour in the kitchen.the room are very clean the maids came in our room every day and at that it was well in the afternoon.the rooms are very basic theres no fancy deco just the beds and the wardrope.but tell me anyone who spends the whole day in a hotel room.toilets are clean too.trust me im very fussy.there was a cleaner checking the public toilets quite a lot.and staff were constantly cleanig up litter with a big hoover.the food was good too, there was somthing diffrent every day and night.they even have a carvery twice a week which the chef would slice the meat in front of you.the dinning room was spotless, the waiters had the tables cleared straight away so we never had to wait for a table.the bar was good too plenty of ice cream and slush puppies for the kids.entertainment at night was fantastic, they would start with the mini club, the entertainers would take the kids on stage and each one would say their name and say yo. at 9 pm there would be another act on every night there was somthing diffrent the kenya boys are a must see they were out of this world .all in all i have no complaints with this holiday we made lots of friends and yes were going back next year. all the staff deserve a pat on the back. oh wait the only thing i would complain about is that the wee shop in the complex is very expensive 1.50 euro for a pact of m and ms of a fudge.and cigarettes are 29 euros for 200. so its not worth brining any home its only 1 tobacco shop in the wee shopping centre. but on the flip side they were selling sandals and football shirts for 1 euro, yes thats 1 euro.

we just got back from this holiday,my boyfriend and i took our 3 children,we were excited after seeing the pics as looked really nice, but was not impressed when we got there,it took 2 hours on the transfer where they jumped from one side of the island to the other dropping people off, when we finally got there we didnt seem keen on the look of it from the outside, but yet again dont judege a book by its cover as we walked in and was quite nice.
receptionist was rude and not helpful, no map to show where our room was, and the wrong number as the room was 2118 yet when i went back she said you had to take 1st number off which was not explained in the first place,as we walked through everyone had a problem at staring all the time, the room was clean when i got to it,our tap was broken and it took them 3 days before they came in to fix it and that was after asking them twice , the cleaners didnt really do a good job on cleaning the rooms as our sheets were not changed in the 7 nights we were there, the towels were not changed unless u left them on the floor and there was a couple of times i left them on the floor and came back and they were still there, the swimming pool was nice for the kids, also the beach was nice as well, the food was horrible, the breakfast consist of hotdog sausages, either fried egg or scrambled egg which taste like it was burnt, bean and tomatoes and on the odd day bacon it was all sat in fat and they served chips for breakfast, lunch and dinners consist of the same really, salad which was not really a good combination no salad cream, either fish or meat always with chips potatoes and always pasta and the bolonaise sauce was a tin of tomatoes, even my 2 yr old daughter didnt want to eat the food thats how bad it was, all my son ate was pasta it was discraceful for what we paid, the evenings were ok had a good few nights there . everyone was rude there walking infront of you even if you had a pram which we did as have a 6 month baby, they push the town was nice had a few good milkshakes but the question is would we go back NO WAY i do not reccommend this to anyone at all iv paid less and had better
- Advice: dont stay at this hotel also very expensive

really lovely holiday overall, we were a family of 4 with 2 children aged 6 and 3 and stayed for 2 weeks and we all had great time. apartment was large (corner room in galatzo block, good views and cleaned daily. pools were excellent. plenty of sunbeds to go round. The pool area was cleaned daily. never queued more than 5 mins for drinks. food perfectly adequate basic meals, good selection at breakfast, lunch was good and had the odd special dish of paella or seafood pasta and evening meals consisted of pasta, pizza, rice, fish, meat. there were unlimited icecreams for kids most of the day and slush to drink. beach less than 10 min walk away, very pretty cove. town 5 mins away, few bars and restaurants and some nice shops. play area for children in town with bouncy castles, go-karts etc.

Stayed at Carla Romani with my wife and two 12 year old grandchildren, booked blindly as had never been to this side of the island before. The complex is big probably to big for meeting up and getting to know fellow travellers. First thing I must point out is the it has a very strong Geeman clientel, followed by a mix of Brits, French, Italians and Spanish. We had a one bedroom apartment that was overlooking the mountains, it was ok, clean and towells got changed regularely. The Lifts in the appartment block were old and tatty and sometimes did not work. The building structure was typically Spanish and lacked total sound proofing you could hear what the world and his wife were doing in the appartment next door. The biggest plus was the pool areas kids loved them, plenty of sunbeds and plenty of area to sunbathe including grass areas. The food was ok but did get a bit repetative especially for the kids but there was plenty of food all day for those that missed the main meals. A I drinks were ok but did not have wrist bands had a plastic type credit card with a photo of the family on only problem kept misplacing the damn thing. Entertainment left a lot to be desired and bordered on boring some nights especially when compere had to translate into about 3 or 4 different languages before anything could commence. One rufuge the town is only about 100 yards up the road with plenty of bars. If you like the beach there are two nice sandy coves about ten minutes walk. We enjoyed our stay and were lucky to have wall to wall sunshine for 7 days', would I go back, probably no would prefer smaller hotel or complex.

this is a well good hotel. went there with mum, her boyfriend and 4 month old (now 5 and a half months) little brother. fantastic pool, all different depths. the hotel doesnt look much from the front, but inside is amazing. the rooms arent that big but very clean. you get fresh towels every day as well as your room being tidied. its about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the beach, despite how many say a 5 minute walk. beach is lovely, quite crowded so it's best to get there early. the breakfast could've lasted a little longer, only goes up till about 10 (as far as i can remember.) computers are provided in this hotel, and are often not busy. its quite a family like hotel, full of kids. the town is a 2 min walk away, too. awesome pubs and shops. decent hotel all together tho. would definatley go again.
- Advice: Loved it; definatley a family place.
- Activities: All restaurants are great. Some nice things to see round the town, a couple of English bars, too.

This was our 1st family holiday aboard. We have a 2 and a 3 year old. What a fantastic hotel. We had a 1 bed apartment which had 2 sofa beds in the lounge area, a fridge and 2 cooker rings. Cleanliness of room was great bed linen changed every 2/3 days, clean towels every day if needed to be changed. Food was great aswell, a wide variety of choice every day. Main restaurant was open for breakfast lunch and dinner, then inbetween those times a side room on the main restaurant was opened as the snack bar...which had a variety of salads, hot and cold food, drinks and breads...which was great if you woke up late and missed breakfast or got peckish in the afternoons. The pool bar had a great variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks aswell as little tubs (about the size of a yogurt pot) of ice creams too! The hotel would provide you with a picnic to if you were going to the beach or out for the day...you just pop to reception and reserve one then pick it up the next day from the pizzeria (next to pool bar). Animation team were a great bunch of people who provide the guests with sports/games from a.m til late afternoon then they put on a show in the evening. There is a minidisco for the kids from about 8:30 til 9:45ish, then 10'o'clock there is a show on.
The beach is a 10-15min stroll from the hotel but does get packed however it is a beautiful beach with clear water and clean sand. I would go back to the Cala Romani and defo recommend this hotel to anyone.
- Activities: Chinese restaurant in the resort is great, so is the big amusment park for kids.

June 2010. 2 Weeks, 7 of us put up in two tiny rooms. Which are really not fantastic, then again you only sleep in them. The only redeeming feature of this hotel is the pool, it is beautiful and maintained well. There is no entertainemnt for younger kids ie 3 and under. Also found a little disturbing when the kids were given certificates at night they were expected to give the entertainment staff a kiss on the cheek. The food was poor, it was always chips, some kind of other potatoe, stew of some kind, fish and sometimes something else but in two weeks we were served lasagne 4 times! If you are vegetarian you are fed the same pasta and tomatoe sauce for the whole period unless you fancy chips or salad. You also have to queue at meal times and at the bar for long periods of time. The maids were poor beyond useless, barely making the beds the sheets were changed once halfway through the first week and the day before our last they did not come at all leaving us with a bin full of nappies (even though we had passed them on the corridor). They did not brush the floor which was not pleasant after a few trips to the beach. If you do go, ensure you ask for a pool view room as the hotel is on the main Calas de Mallorca road and you hear every truck, car and bin wagon that seem to pass all hours of the night.
I will give praise though to Juan Martinez the bar tender in the main hotel, he is the most pleasant and funniest member of staff the only one who made our holiday enjoyable when the rest of them could barely muster a smile.
I would not go here again but it is ok for a base and somewhere to put your head down.
