Comments:  Family of 4, 2 adults, 2 boys aged 17 & 12.
First time for an all inclusive and we were pleasently suprised. The appartment was basic but very clean & tidy. The food was good & plentiful. Unfortunately there was nothing for our 17 year old to do.
Would I go back, no - would I recommend it to a family with young children (under 12), yes I would.

Comments:  6th Aug - 19th AugWe are a family of five with three children - ages 6, 12 & 16. We have been to Calas De Mallorca three times over the years as the resort is safe for the children with a nice town to look around with plenty of gift shops & bars. It was our 1st time to this hotel. We were very impressed from start to finish, our room had a fabulous view over looking the pool & the sea, plenty of room for us all although we only had one bedroom and the children slept in the open area. The room was kept very clean by the cleaning staff. The reception staff were all friendly and spoke excellent English & all our requests were met with a pleasant attitude, the grounds were well kept as there always seemed to be someone somewhere keeping them looking nice. The bar staff were always happy to help and there was a fantastic choice of alcoholic & non alcoholic drinks which included cocktails, there was also an ice cream machine at the pool bar which was self service plus ice creams in tubs which was on offer all day, "the kids were in their element". The food & restaurant facilities were superb, plenty of choice of food, clean and never over crowded possibly assisted by long opening times for all three sittings, staff were also pleasant who worked there. Yes there are steps, we were ok but people with puschairs seemed to struggle. There were many nationalaties at the hotel & as always the Germans were up at the crack of dawn covering the sunbeds with towels! All in all we all enjoyed our holiday, met some lovely families (what more can you ask for) & the weather was hot the whole time. The only people I would not recommend this hotel to is families with young babies and anyone with walking difficulties, only due to the steps.

Comments:  We have just arrived back from a wonderful holiday at the calas park apartments. We were in a party of eight adults and seven kids. The apartments have a good mix of european nations,we met English ,Northern Ireland,German ,Spanish just to name a few. Some reviews say they cater more for the Germans and i say rubbish. The breakfast menu was more european, but we always found something. The toaster was very slow, but they had fried eggs, beans ,bacon, cereal, fruit and tea and coffee machines ,juice machines and fizzy drinks too.The lunch menu was excellent and sometimes you had more choice at lunch than dinner.Dinner was not just chips everyday they had potatoes and plenty of veg and a different fish everyday. Also they had a massive salad and desert section. The kids loved helping themselves to pop and tubs of ice cream. The entertainment was fair ,maybe the only downfall. But i say better fair entertainment than none at all. We would eat at 730pm go for a walk around the town have a quick drink and get back for the last couple of hours. The bar choice was excellent Cruz Campo lager was good but in a half pint plastic cup. They had cocktails and wine which kept the wives happy and loads of fizzy and juice drinks for the kids.Overall i would recommend the Calas Park Apartments and if they had better entertainment they would get a ten out of ten.

Comments:  we had good time apart from the hotel being full of GERMANS.hotel catered mainly for them not much good for ENGLISH families.ok we didnt go hungry but had to survive mainly on chips, salad and crusty bread.breakfast was ok some of the time, but it was just luck of the draw was was to eat rest of the meals, snacks on night time were always cold aswell.staff were lovely, entertainment was CRAP as staff done most of it,was not their fault though they did try (bless them).most of the entertainment was aimed at the GERMANS aswell.for the ENGLISH NOT GOOD.the only good thing was you didnt have to queue up for icecream or drinks for the children the only thing you had to queue for was alcohol but there was never any long queues.the rooms were spot on nice and big and air con was brill.rooms cleaned every day and clean towels left.BEWARE if you are lukcy enough to be an early riser try and get down to pool for sunbed as the GERMANS are up at crack off dawn to make sure they get one and they are not bothered about taking ones that have towels on either or if you have a sunshade they will just take it.the beach was just a little walk from hotel it was lovely little beach well worth going just to be free of the GERMANS.was not to much to do for kids either all they seemed to do was paint t-shirts and had mini disco on for about half hour on night and that was it.there is a shopping centre not far from hotel and just after that there is a play area with go-carts and bouncy castles. well worth taking children there.kids enjoyed it.never mind we had good time.WOULD DEFO NOT GO BACK UNLESS CATERED MORE FOR THE ENGLISH

Comments:  This was our first AI holiday, like many we were a little concerned after reading some reviews. What you have to remember is you get what you pay for! We would have ordinarily paid the same price for self catering. If you are a fussy eater then AI is not for you anyway. There was always plenty of variety of food on offer, however what I will say is that for 7 days it was fine and whilst the food was fine after that I got fed up of the food, there was nothing at all wrong with it I just wanted what I wanted by this point, we ate out a few evenings at an English place on the edge of the square but this was by choice and no reflection on the hotel food. The drink on site is fine and the kids were able to go and help themselves to whatever they wanted. The entertainment isn't all that but lets face it if you need to be entertained on holiday then..... don't know what to say, we always had a fab time. There were quite a few other Europeans there and we found everyone friendly and enjoyed people watching. We made friends with the turtles in the top pool, and Pauline and Kev the frogs in the middle pool.. Please pass on our 'RESPECT'. Remember a holiday is what YOU make it.. Oh yes, staff friendly, rooms clean only bad thing was the weather it rained every day..... but you can't order the weather!!!! :-) Oh also whilst there is a lovely beach close by if you like beach walks this part of the Island is not for you.

Comments:  This is the fourth time we have stayed at this hotel and you get what you pay for. Most 3 star all inclusive hotels in my mind are rather shoddy, we have stayed at 3 hotels in Calas De Mallorca and this is the only hotel I would recommend.
Me, my wife and our two girls (2 and 3) really enjoy staying at the hotel year after year, so this year we took the inlaws, brothers and sisters e.t.c along as well. Considering that the inlaws normally stay in 4+ star accomodation they were pleasantly surprised and have booked up with us for next year already.
The food is good if not a bit repetitive at times but overall always of a good standard, with plenty of choice.
The rooms are of a good size and having the fridge and hob make it easier. The airconditioning is also a bonus especially as it is free to use.
I dont think we spent more than two hours a day out of the pool, and it is very good for little children with the gentle slopes going into and out of the pool. There was always enough sunbeds togo around which is always good and we did not find many people going out early to put towels out.
The rooms are cleaned almost everyday and the grounds are kept very tidy.
All the staff are very pleasant especially at reception, every year they remember us and our girls and are very nice to our children.
I would definately recomend the hotel to anyone. .
I would suggest checking as many sites as possible for prices as they are dramatically different between sites.

Anybody who says it is a poor hotel really does not understand what a 3 star all inclusive gives, this hotel gives you exactly what you want for a medium priced holiday.

Comments:  stayed at the calas park 8-22 june,my family had a great time, especially my 9 year old daughter who didnt get out off the pool for 2 weeks, food was ok and always something from pasta, chips, pizza and a large selection off salads, bar opens at 10.30am-midnight and had a large selection to choose from and victor and juan always had a smile to serve you,as stated on a few reviews the entertainment wasnt great but as we went out most nights it didnt affect us much, during the day the music was a bit annoying as it was on repeat for 2 weeks, ben done very well to keep the kids occupied during the day and the adult entertainer ulesis was quite good fun, overall we had a great holiday and would return, rooms and pool area where excellent and reception staff all spoke good english

Comments:  Some people are never satisfied. They want to pay next to nothing but receive 5 star quality. My partner and I have just returned from a week at Calas and really enjoyed it. Looking at the comments on here and other websites you would think it was like going to Wormwood Scrubs but please read on. The location is superb overlooking the sea and the pool area is lovely, again overloking the sea. The apartments are spacious and have a separate bedroom and large balcony so everyone has there own space. Someone complained about the drinks. How anyone can complain about so many drinks being readily available I will never know. Pop, milk shakes, fruit juices. lager, spirits, wine, sangria, hot drinks are all freely available betwen 8 am and midnight. The food is also edible with a plethora of choice. Ok it may not be Haute Cuisine but you are not paying Haute Cuisine prices. A 3 course meal at a 5 star establishment would probably cost you more than a week at Calas so get a grip. There is always meats, pastas, salads and pizzas so everyone should be ok to find something to their liking. There was though a downside, namely the entertainment. Not only was it poor but the animation team insisited on having music banging out around the pool for two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon. When sunbathing try and sit near the poolside bar because although it is noisy with the kids you can't hear the music as loudly as if sat by the indoor bar area.
All in all we had a great time and would recommend the apartments to anyone.

Comments:  Hotel - very clean and wonderful views, rooms are spacious. Entertainment was not very good as we had no children with us but again centred towards the German's.

Food - if you are German you will be fine, chips with everything, we thought that we could put up with it for a week, but we was wrong, towards the end we had to force it down. Plenty of choice for drinks

Location - long transfer from the airport, but worth it, the beach is a short walk from the hotel, down some steps, plenty of shops bars etc on the door step. We went fishing for a couple of days off the rocks, which was really good, take some cards with you incase it rains as there is not much to do when it does rains.

Would go again but self catering!

Comments:  Excellent value, if you want 7 days all inclusive. Food was good, apartment was OK, and it is less that 100 yards to the Village which is cheap as its surrounded by all inclusive resorts.

Just a few minutes’ walk to the beach which is nice. Weather was excellent.

Only downside is that my husband's brand new razor, blades and shaving cream went missing, so he had to go the last day without a shave (about £20 worth), which the reception staff looked blank about when mentioning!

Comments:  These apartments are clean and basic with no utensils at all. The staff all seemed friendly and nice. Calas is a bit like a mini Blackpool or Rhyl and all a bit shabby. I went with my husband and we hired a car for the week. The main thing about these apartments is the food - absolutely awful. Things like burgers, rabbit and veal were offered for the evening meal. We ate out for 3 nights and found a lovely Chinese Restaurant a few yards away on the corner. The dining room was spacious but the choices of food were appalling. Apparently they only allow 3 or 4 euros per day to cater for each guest, and it shows! The drinks as previously mentioned by other holidaymakers are awful. The four nights we ate in the hotel, we had to make a dash for the loo shortly after eating. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone.

Comments:  This was our third visit to Calas Park and we have booked again for 2008.

Apartments are very clean and spacious, separate bedroom ideal when you have 2 children could put them to bed and we could sit up in the lounge area or balcony without disturbing them, much better than a hotel where 4 are crammed into one room.

Rooms are cleaned every other day, staff are really friendly and helpful, in the 3 years of visiting noticed that majority of the staff are the same each year, a few of them even remembered us (not sure if that was a good thing!)

I notice a lot of people have complained about the food, we found there was something to eat at each meal time and I have 2 fussy children. breakfast consisted of choice of 5 cereal, fresh fruit, various breads, cakes, pastries, cheese, ham, also a hot buffet of sausages (some German) scrambled egg, beans, tomatoes, fried potatoes, fried eggs and bacon alternate days.

Lunch and dinner consisted of soup, lots of various salads, always 2 types of pasta, pizza, 3 types of veg, 2 types of potatoes, 2 types of fish and 2/3 types of meat dishes. Dessert was cakes, fruit, mouse, ice cream.

Drinks at the pool bar and entertainment bar was the same you only had to ask for alcoholic drinks, everything else slush, fizzy drinks, milkshakes, fruit juices, tea and coffee you helped yourself, so hardly any queues.

Entertainment was not fantastic but it is what you make it, kids club is good for the kids, it is carried out by the pool under a shaded area so kids can just go and join in if they want to.

Lovely views from the pool area and if you are lucky enough to get a room with a sea view fantastic to wake up to in the morning.

I took a travel kettle and a couple of mugs for my early morning cuppa as there are no utensils or crockery as it is all inclusive, fridges do work which is great as I used to take tubs of yoghurt from breakfast incase kids got peckish at bedtime.

Town centre is just at back of hotel so really easy to nip to the shops; the town has a couple of small fairs (little go karts and trampolines) and a couple of good crazy golf courses.

We always hire a car at the airport, we have then got it to go out to Waterparks etc, but a must is the Pirates Adventure its fantastic (even if you haven’t got kids) a really great stage show with food and drink included.

As I said going back again in 2008 for 16 days so can't be that bad.

Comments:  We read all the reviews before we went and basically had an open mind about this holiday.

We were a party of 4, 2 adults, 2 children aged 10 and 13. We found this hotel to be very clean and efficiently run. We were on an all-inclusive basis.

The food was plentiful and varied, and the children particularly enjoyed helping themselves to refreshments all day long! Please note that your apartment will have no cooking utensils, cups, kettle what so ever because of being an all-inclusive customer, so if you fancy a brew, don’t forget a travel kettle, cups, teaspoons etc.

The hotel is situated on a cliff top overlooking the sea, but be warned there are plenty of steps from the pool up to the hotel reception, not for those with walking difficulties or babies in prams. There are then additional steps through the hotel to your room. We however did not find this a problem what so ever.

The pool is an adequate for the size of the hotel. It is particularly shallow but great for very young children. You cannot swim lengths in it though and gets busy in high season which you expect.

The entertainment clubs for children up to 10 years of age is very good. We however found our children were just out of this boundary, but were however happy enough swimming and going to the beach.

At night-time the entertainment could have been better with more shows etc, but we generally went out into the resort in the evening. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for teenagers, but having said that our children still enjoyed their holiday.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone and would certainly go back there. We had a nice holiday.

Comments:  I have just returned from a holiday with my husband and two children, aged 3 & 8. The hotel is clean and tidy and fairly modern, just your typical Spanish apartment.

Our room had a double bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen area with fridge, cooking rings, cupboards and dining table. Further sleeping was via couches in the living room. Although I had no intention of cooking the fridge was very handy.

For what I paid for this hotel I could never begin to complain. The pool area was beautiful, lovely well presented pool and the views straight out to sea were stunning. We were up at 8am to reserve a sunbed but it was never excessive, the pool was ideal for children, but teenagers and adults were a bit stumped as it barely had a 'deep end' so no raucous games were possible!

The one thing which stopped this holiday getting full marks was the food. I am not a fussy person so always found something to eat, my husband the same, the kids struggled a little but all I can say is 'we managed' nothing too bad but nothing to shout about either. However there was more than adequate fresh bread and salads which were great.

All in all this was a fine holiday with the pool location bringing the rating right up there. If you can get yourself a great deal then you have nothing to worry about.

Comments:  After booking our holiday then reading the reviews my girlfriend and I were quite worried, but when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised.

As we found the food to be very edible with no cold chips etc eating out only once for a change. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were excellent with the cleaner coming in three times a week.

The bad points were the pool is small and the Germans are in the majority, overall a very nice cheap holiday.
