Just come back from 7 nights at this hotel, wished we had, had 14. We as a family had a great time, couldn’t find fault with this hotel, there was plenty for the children to do, the entertainers were great.
Had read a review saying that the food let the hotel down, but I disagree, there were 4/5 different choices for main meals at lunch and dinner and at breakfast you could have full cooked, continental, fresh fruit etc.
Hotel rooms were cleaned every day and all the staff were really friendly. From what I had read I was expecting rowdy children running around everywhere, but we saw none of that.
Poolsides were kept clean with cleaners out every morning cleaning the pools and surrounding areas and the sunbeds were chained up at night so you didn’t have to go down for a sunbed in the early hours of the morning, and there were plenty of sunbeds for everyone.
We met people who had been back to this hotel a number of times, so roll on next year as we will be going back for 14 nights this time.

Just returned. Weather brilliant 80+ every day for the 2 weeks.
Hotel situated on top on cliff in purpose built resort. Plenty of bars and restaurants in resort, which are only 5 - 10mins, walk away. Hotel very clean, room service daily, bar staff friendly. Restaurant only downfall, food repetitive, which in our opinion is the worst food choice we have experienced. Restaurant looks more like a school canteen; snack bar food is left overs from previous meal served in restaurant. The restaurant badly let the hotel down.
Hotel not ideally situated for beach, which is either 5 min walk down some steep steps, or 20 min walk to other beach (better of the two). Drinks in hotel served in small plastic cups day and evening.
Don’t be too put off by the reports Hotel brilliant shame about food.

Just got back already looking forward to next year.
Gorgeous weather, Food was amazing lots of choice, different menus everyday .Staff here are brilliant, hotel is massive in and out, spotless too.
Not too crowded either just right. Great family shows every night from 7-11 . Beautiful blistering beaches, shopping/bar precinct nearby 5-15 min walk. Bus stop, cash machine ,newsagents just outside hotel. Buses are regular to all towns/villages which have regular markets plenty to see and buy.
Western water park is a must if you have children like us, it is spectacular and is quite cheap, book through hotel its easier, Worth the Coach Trip.
The only bad thing we should have booked 2 weeks instead of one....
Should be given 6 stars!
In one word, ‘Sol Balmoral’ was ‘HEAVEN’.

We had such a lovely time here. The apartments were clean and change of sheets nearly ever day. The hotel staff were excellent, round the corner at the Mar Azul can cater for any taste buds and the food was lovely, the waiters were excellent.
Everything is close to hand but the beach was a bit too much in the heat; going down was fine but the climb back up took the enjoyment out of it. Sister hotels are so close you have no bother ever getting a sunbed and when weather is bad or just had too much sun the indoor pool was great. Hope to go back soon.

We travelled to this hotel hoping for great things... We got none of them!
I read only one bad review on this hotel before we travelled so I thought maybe the lady who wrote it was a little miserable... She wasn’t, just honest!
In its favour it was an extremely clean hotel and the staff were great but the atmosphere was awful. Everyone seemed to be bladdered the whole time we stayed in the hotel long enough to notice and it seemed as if people were just out to find a good argument.
We watched the show one night (which was excellent) but the awful parents just sat there the whole time letting their kids roll ping-pong balls across the stage while the reps were performing the show... I felt really sorry for them.
After that I’d had enough so we decided to use the mastines over the road... What a fantastic place that is. You can lie by the pool and just look at the fantastic views of the sea as its right on the edge of the cliff.
The staff are really friendly, I can’t say enough good things about it. I’m not a snob by any stretch of the imagination but if you have a foul mouth and are covered in tattoos then you will definitely fit in well in the Balmoral! It just seems so old this hotel... Pull it down and start again!
We will definitely book again for the mastines as my partner, myself and little girl loved it.

I stayed in the Sol Balmoral Hotel next door which is too a sol hotel and I found that I could use these facilities too which I thought was brilliant both of the hotels were clean and were set in a lovely area of Calas de Mallorca not to near to the main town and beach but not to far away either about a 10 mins walk I would recommend this hotel to any one it is brilliant and has many fantastic facilities the staff were very helpful and very clean and tidy which I noticed on in the restaurant. The local pool is massive and very deep there are also another 3 outside and 1 indoor pool. This hotel is very good and I would recommend it to anyone.

The hotels is clean, maid’s clean rooms regularly, and are polite and friendly. Locals are also friendly, as are hotel staff. There is Internet access, which is very cheap. There are a good array of bars and restaurants, which are in easy walking distance. The food was average, and you have to eat at specific times, which may not suit everyone. There is not really a beach, a couple of 'sandy' areas, which are quite a walk away, and is hilly.
Overall a good holiday.

We originally booked for the Hotel Eurocalas but was advised 4 days before departing we would be staying at the Hotel Sol Balmoral.
Staff at the Sol Balmoral were very friendly and the food was ok, however, the snack bar left a lot to be desired - it was left overs from breakfast, lunch and tea kept warm on a hot plate! The rooms were fine, but, the entertainment was not.
Kids daytime clubs consisted mainly of throwing the Reps into the pool and the evening entertainment was not much better, we had 3 nights of football, an audience participation night and a transvestite night, not really suitable for a family holiday. After making numerous complaints we were moved. For the 2nd week of our holiday we stayed at Hotel America where we had a brilliant time, there were clubs and games for the children all throughout the day.
Entertainment in the evening was both suitable and entertaining for all the family, and the food was excellent, with separate poolside snack bars serving freshly prepared food. 1st week of the holiday can be classed as poor, the 2nd week was excellent.
