The shower tray in our room would not drain properly.
On closer inspection this was due to the plughole being full of hair and god knows what else.
Maybe they should get some proper cleaners in.

Not what I feared!

I stayed here for a single night and i have to say, before my arricval, i was rather apprehensive. This wasn't helped by the waring they placed at the first page of theior site - that there could be a lot of noise as it was situated on a busy road!. As it happened i have a beautiful night here. The room was large, neat and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, spacious and in good working order. I might have balked at the large late checkout charge but it didn't worry me on this occassion as i was leaving for an early conference and in any event, i always travel light. Overall, it was wel beyond my expectations; certainly not what i feared! (it helps that there is a beautiful Brazilian restaurant next door, which serves a very good buffet!)

Stayed here with my friend prior to a concert at the Manchester MEN arena. Trawled the internet trying to find a room and this came up at £26 so we weren’t really expecting a great deal. We didn’t pay "The Hilton" money so we weren’t expecting 5*.
We weren’t happy that when we arrived at 1pm which was 2 hours earlier than check in the wouldn’t let us leave our bags anywhere but said if we paid an extra £10 we could check in straightaway which is what we did.
The room was huge and there was plenty of wardrobe space and was clean and warm. All the staff we encountered were brilliant, the lad who checked us in gave us a detailed map of the area and told us the best places to visit. When we returned the night receptionist was friendly and chatty even though it was 3am.
This hotel was very nice and should we find ourselves needing a room again in Manchester we wouldn’t hesitate. The old saying is you get what you pay for, just as long as a place is clean and comfortable that’s what matters to me. People think that they can pay a bog standard price and expect 5* in return. Well I for one think in this case we certainly got more than got our monies worth.

This hotel was disgusting. The lifts didn’t work, the staff could not understand English and spoke to you like their friends.
You pay for a late check out 3pm and the housekeeper wakes you up at 11am to tell you to get out and waits there till you leave. Don’t stay here.

Booked this hotel for a single night stay from a special offer from Travelodge for a fully flexible room for only £15.Fantastic value for a city room. As others have said it is in a fairly quiet location and within easy walking distance of the city centre and the railway station.
Clean comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The only thing that lets it down is the lack of car parking. You have to park your car in an NCP car park a couple of streets away.
They do have a disabled car park that is operated independently at a charge of £5.
There is also a retail park about 1/2 mile down the road which has free parking, but didn't fancy leaving the car there overnight. Overall, one of the better Travelodge’s.

This Travelodge was clean and the staff very friendly. It's fairly well situated for central Manchester with Piccadilly just a 5 minute or so walk away.
My room was a good size and furnished in the standard design of all Travelodge hotels - double bed, desk, TV, bathroom/shower, tea/coffee making facilities and adequate storage space. Functional rather than luxurious.
It's possible to get this for as low as £26 per night, which is pretty good value. Well worth it.

Although it's fairly close to the city centre, the area around the hotel is a bit quiet with no shops or pubs but it's within easy walking distance of Piccadilly Station and is about a ten minute walk to the Arndale Centre.
The hotel is standard Travelodge fayre, with a large double bed (quite comfy) a bed/sofa and desk with work station, TV and coffee maker. It was clean and tidy and for the price (£26) a real bargain.

I was down in Manchester visiting friends for the weekend. The hotel is very well situated only about 10 minutes walk to the main shopping area of Manchester.
It is on quite a busy road, but I had a room at the back of the hotel so you didn't hear any noise.
The room I had was very clean and had everything your need in a basic room. If you wanted any toiletries or an iron you needed to ask for that at reception.
They also serve a breakfast buffet downstairs, as it was the weekend the breakfast was on from 9 till 11 which was good and was only £6.00
Overall this was a great hotel for the price.
