on arrival the hotel appeared basic but once in the room we actually had evrything we needed. the location of the hotel was fine, close to all the shops and restaurants/bars, it was a bit like blackpool front though , people selling stuff and girls wanting to braid hair, though if you like that thats fine! the entertainment at the hotel was poor to say the least this simon character who i am led to believe by the past reviews on this website is supposed to be funny and entertaining , well dont believe the hype!! he was more interested in checking the ladies by the pool side especially my daughters (18 and 19). the evening entertainment was poor ,bingo, giant jenga, and at one point simon actually sung which was the low point of the holiday i have to say, but the bar staff at the hotel are lovley marco and anthony are very nice young gentlemen who are always happy to help and so are the rest of the staff , all in all had a good holiday just a shame about the entertainment , sorry simon you just didnt float our boats .

Just returned from Los Lentiscos. Apartment OK - but very badly equipped if you want to self cater - only sharp knife was a bread knife.
Booked here because of the daily entertainment as just went with my daughter and mum. Unfortunately the entertainer was ill for a couple of days and no replacement. Loud music during the day was a bit annoying. Very quiet in the bar in the evenings - entertainment didnt happen most evenings as not enough people about.
Didn't really like Calan Forcat - much too English - thought Minorca would be a bit less spoiled.

Pleasantly surprised by the apartments. For price paid they are a good size, clean and we had a balcony overlooking the smaller pool, which was quiet and had a lovely view. Apartmetns around the larger pool have music playing all day, this does stop by midnight at the latest, but we were pleased to be away from this area - it depends what you like! Our son liked the 5 a side football pitch.
The resort itself is limited - but we found a beach we liked albeit small, and a couple of good restaurants. Getting to Cuitadella in the evening by bus was easy and there are lots of lovely restaurants around the harbour. The bus stop is just outside the hotel.
All in all we had a lovely holiday.

We Went in june this year YES the festival was on, but that did not bother us maybe because the spanish all seem to be around the back of the Apts and we was bang next to pool and bar, plus if ya dont like spanish dont go to spain go camping in whitby lol, simon was great we had a r8 laugh with him, but i think hes leaving this year, the los lenticos is in reach of everything beach pubs water park everything is in walking distance great with young children, two things that bugged me only 1 mirror and that was in bathroom no good for ladies with hair and makeup to do gets a bit sweaty lol 2. im a smoker and it fab to be able to have a cig when ya like but beaware to get 200 cigs you have to take a bus ride into town (this does'nt take long but a pain thats all) but there are cig machines in some of the pubs, my kids age 8 and 5 really want to go back so im in no doubt that we will be staying at los lenticos again, just wish simon was staying
id say teenages go to majorca instead this in not a young and liverly place
Great for familys with young children, cus theres plenty for the little tikes to do and mum and dad can have a tipple

Arrived at los lentiscos on 10/5/2010 had read all the reveiws and as usual went with an open mind.my wife and my boys 6&5 had booked for two weeks and found all the staff very freindly and helpful.Apartment for the money paid ,i thought was ok ,comfortable ,basic but cleaned on a regular basis.holiday was fine until the roaming hoards of spanish teenagers arrived and basically stayed up drinking and smoking for two days solid, including marijuana which some were smoking by the pool which i found unnacceptable even though my boys were none the wiser it is not what you expect from family orientated accomadation.I complained to the manager and he said it was the first time he had allowed the apartments to be used for this sort of thing and it would be the last.We didn,t let this spoil our holiday and i would return again without hesitation.there are lots of good places to eat this is our second trip to menorca and certainly wont be the last. s.wharmby

We went end of June for 2 weeks, we go there and reception was really busy with loads of young spanish guests (who have no concepts of queuing) there was 13 of us that stayed in the Los Lentiscos Apartments so had 4 rooms which were all adjacent to each other with amazing sea view (if you book here, definitely ask for this), apartments are clean, basic and could do with a bit of updating, for example, holes in the ceilings, bedding torn/worn away, but they give you plenty of towels. Maid service wasn't very good until we went and complained that no-one had been in when we had been there for 6 days! They immediately came, cleaned the rooms, changed all bedding and gave all clean towels, you also have to go to reception for toilet roll which is a bit embarrassing!! Plus no air condition, only a fan that just spread the warm air round the room!!
We arrived during the Sant Joan Festival and our hotel for the first few days were like a 18-30 hotel, young spanish guests in the apartments below us, up until all hours, loud, obnoxious, rude, arrogant - I could go on!! Not one review mentioned that spanish teenagers used these apartments during spanish holidays/festivals, even though they have for the last few years!! We found even after the festival quite a lot of young spanish still used these apartments. When we complained at reception about being kept up till 5.30am for the second night, all they could say was 'it's festival' they were not in the least bit interested that we had young children frightened by all the screaming and shouting.
After they had left it was lovely, the whole complex seemed more relaxed.
Simon (the entertainer) was a lovely guy, but with all the amazing reviews perhaps I was expecting a bit more, my family have a similar sort of personality, so we got on really well with him, but didn't think he was exceptionally funny as most of the reviews had said! Entertainment in the apartments wasn't very good but that's because Simon doesn't get any money to do anything with the guests, he does his best to entertain.
Despite all this we had a lovely holiday (but this was more to do with the number of us there) we would definitely return to Cala n Forcat but never to the Los Lentiscos again.
The resort is excellent for families and especially children, we never had to shout/argue for them to sit still when we were having something to eat, as virtually all restaurants/bars had something to entertain them while we were waiting for food or just having a drink.
Jimmy Hill Square is a must for entertainment, you have to go see Fake That - brilliant show!! The resort gives the impression of somewhere safe so you could watch a show in the square and your kids could run around and use the play area without being in sight - this felt like one of the safest places ever, and this is from a mum who never lets her kids out of sight!!
We went to Castaways a fair bit, food was lovely, staff were even lovelier, very fairly priced. We went to Frankie's Bar a few times but then the owner was rude to me after I explained that some of our food hadn't arrived, so we didn't go back again!!
You have to make you husband ride the mechanical bull - that was hilarious - all in all a great holiday but unfortunately would not go back to Los Lentiscos unless they installed air con, did not allow young spanish people to run riot until all hours and generally gave it a bit of a make over!! If that happened then I would go back as the size of the rooms and views from the balcony were brilliant.

This is our 4th visit to Los Lentiscos. It is always as its has been good location, clean, lovely pool area for the children. However, I have never stayed their during the San Joan Festival which takes place nearby at Ciutadella. Los Lentiscos now accepts large groups of young spanish men and women who party all hours, leave the apartments/pool area in a state. Not ideal when you have small children with you as you are constantly disturbed during the night. You are not meant to go in the pool after 8pm but they are in it in the early hours shouting and screaming. We went from 18 June to 28 June. Never again!!!

The apartments are basic but very clean & fairly spacious. Set in a good location at the end of the 'strip', close to bars, restaurants, supermarkets and the many coves & beaches in the area.
The staff were very friendly & helpful, especially Simon (The Entertainer). He was making us laugh from the moment we arrived right up to the minute we left. Not only does he do a great job in entertaining you, he is also willing to share his knowledge of the local area and places to visit on the Island. He is one of the main hightlights of our holiday - if only every hotel had a 'Simon'. He is brilliant!
