Disneys Contemporary Resort

The Disneys Contemporary Resort is a true symbol of excellence. We went to the Contemporary in November 2002.We took my son and wife and our two grandchildren,3 and 5. The rooms were not as clean as I would like and the room service food was not good. Having said that, I must say also that the use of the monorail coming right into the hotel was fabulous! The Chef Mickeys for breakfast was so cute for the children. This Hotel needs a facelift badly. The place has a 70's feel to it. Average place to stay. For the money, better to stay outside the Park or upgrade to the Grand Floridian on Disney Property.

Visited the Contemporary Resort July 2003. My family and I stayed in the South Garden wing which faced the lagoon. The rooms were nicely decorated and in the beginning of our stay it was nice and quiet. On the third day we heard constant noise from the rooms above. We contacted the front desk and all they could say was that quiet hour begin after 10:00 pm, call back then. When you called back nothing was done. The food was very over priced at the hotel. We stayed at the Contemporary for New Years, and had a great time. Our room, on the Tower Club Level, was in good condition and had an awesome view of the MK Resorts, the lagoon, and the entire Magic Kingdom! This resort doesn't appeal to everyone, but it truly is a great Disney experience! Have fun at the place that started it all!

This was my first time to Florida and I was there on a business trip. The company put us in the Disney Contemporary. I had no idea I was in for such a wonderful time! The view of the lake was peaceful, the 'contemporary' design of the rooms were unique and the staff was very helpful & friendly. I don't have any children but if you're a big kid at heart, you'll love the Contemporary. Make sure you check out Chef Mickey's. What a disappointment when we arrived at the Contemporary for a long-awaited and planned Disney vacation (my husband, myself and 3 kids). We were terribly disappointed withe the ugly exterior and even uglier interior. Our room was in one of the "wings" - another way of saying far from everything (except the pool). we took two grandaughters ages 5 and 13, stayed on the 12th floor of the contemporary hotel and had two days full of all that disney has to offer and the hotel was, by far, outstanding in every way. everyone made us feel "special" and went above and beyond to make our entire stay as fun as possible.

We just arrived back home after a week at the Contemporary. The veiw was awesome---11th floor view of fireworks over The Castle and Space Mountains, overlooking the water as well to see the Electric Water Parade.Check in was a breeze, we arrive at 12:30 and our room was ready. Bought our E tickets, and went up/ HUGE room. we are a family of 5, teen and preteens, no little kids here. Convience was a huge facor as well, the monorail and Chef Mickey's. The pools are great too.I will be staying here again!

I booked a stay at the Contemporary in November 2002 as a surprise for my husband's birthday as on previous trips to Disney he always said it was his dream to stay there. We were not dissapointed. Check in was fast and friendly and our room (concierge room on 14th floor, overooking magic kingdom) was fantastic. It was large, airy,clean and comfortable.
