Me & my family have been going to Playa den Bossa for 17years & we still keep going back.. Whether its 2 of you or a whole crowd. One of the main reasons is Murphys Irish bar. This is the kind of pub that you can go into every night of your holiday & never get bored. The... more

Absolutly fantastic! I went with 7 other friends and we stayed in two apartments (4 people in each). Atmosphere was great, lively at night and a relaxing in the day by the pool or beach (which is right on your doorstep). I'de definitely recommend it :)

you dont want to know
We stayed here 15/05/07, the rooms were fine and clean, great location to the beach, bars etc. Although 2 days before leaving someone broke into our room and didnt even steal anything. He stood at the bedroom door and watched me, my friend and her 9mth old baby sleeping. When we noticed this we shouted and he left out the front door, as i was calling secuirty he tried a 2nd atemped to get in. We chase in with a iron etc. He got away, secuirty didnt may much attention, police didnt even undertsnad english, they were to send a interpretur to see us who never came. The manager of the hotel didnt even see to us, just said they know about it. This was a very frightening experience and staff jus didnt care. He could have been a rapist of baby snatcher, as he didnt want our money. Do not go to this apartment, you safety is at risk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
good location, room and on the beach
I'm italian and i stayed at bossamar jet apartment on july, the room was very confortable, over the famous bora bora, a few steps from space disco and direct to the beach! the room was cleaned everyday there were many british and german people the only thing that i was disappointed was the noisy and chaos that southitalian people did i don't wish anyone to meet SOUTHITALIAN people on its holiday i enjoyed very much to stay here that's my advice to you
Expensive Island
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Jet apartments for two weeks. The weather in Ibiza was fantastic, with the sun shining everday! My problem was how expensive things were, specifically the food and drink in all the local supermarkets and shops. We were staying self catering but mainly ate out due to the cost of buying the raw ingredients for meals. It was not worth the effort. The apartments were ok, cleaned every other day and adequate for two of us, it would have been a squash if there had been four sharing though. There are no keys for the room only a card, which also operates the air conditioning. If you required a remote to operate the air conditioning then there was a cost. The air conditioning will run full blast unless the card is removed and in which case the electric to the apartment is also cut. All of the Jet apartments have restaurants/shops/cafe/reception underneath and all have something at the beach front. unfortunatley for us facing our balcony at the rear was Bora Bora, the beach/nightclub running from 1PM until 5AM. But towards the end of the holiday we got used to the noise!! It is a nice part of Ibiza and apart from the cost and ultimatley how much we spent, it is a good holiday location with a great mix of nationalities and ages.
A great location
A great location as a stones throw from Bora Bora and right on the beach. Ibiza town is also only a short ride away. After reading various reviews we requested a top floor apartment due to the break-ins on the ground floor. After checking in we popped out for an hour at 3pm to get a drink - when we returned our apartment had been broken in to and our phones & camera had been stolen. I was devastated but the staff were so nice and helpfull. It turned out our balcony door didnt lock properly so someone must have climbed over (yes in broad daylight). We were then moved to another apartment which was ironically on the the ground floor. I would definitely stay at Jet again but be more careful as we spoke to 2 others who had also been robbed during our stay. Towards the end of our week however I did notice the resort getting more chavvy English (Union Jack towels, footballs tops - you know the sort)
FUN!!
This was my third year running to Ibiza and my second at Jet. I was very impressed by the resort of Playa den bossa as it is so much nicer than san Antinio. We payed a lot to stay here £550 each for two weeks self catering which I felt was a bit of a rip-off. We booked for 3 people (two girls and a guy) and he had to sleep on a sofa-type bed in the lounge which was terrible! Our room was very small and the air con leaked so badly that we were throwing a saucepan full of water every morning, the receptionists very very unhelpfull in getting it fixed! It was very noisy!!!! I was close to tears some nights when all you want to do is sleep and you have the cheesiest dance music pumping out. We also had the pleasure of staying next to a group of Germans who couldn't even walk quietly! The food is rubbish but I wouldn't let that put you off as if you go into Ibiza town there are some lovely places to eat. All in all I love Ibiza and I have had three amazing holidays there, the clubs are amazing and so are the beaches and Bossa is the best area to stay on the Island. One thing you must do tho is the trip to Formentara which is AMAZING!!!! What they dont tell you tho is to take ur driving license so you can hire a jeep or moped when you get there for about 60 euros and then you can travel the island where there is one of the worlds 7 best beaches.......fantastic! Enjoy ur holiday!
Ibiza - Positives, negatives, an island of contrast
Our third time to Ibiza this season and tenth time in Spain. The positives first: Jet Apartments are excellent, and the area of Playa D'en Bossa is a very nice resport but also lively with the Bora Bora club, Pacha and Space close by. The nightlife for young people here is probably the best in the world; very high-class fun 24/7, loads of classy people of all nationalities and orientatoins; all keen to meet you and party all night. I have seen San Antonio also and can say Bora Bora is a much nicer option though still very lively throughout the night. When Bora Bora closes around 5AM everyone is on the pull. The restaurant Moorea at Jet is super, the staff at Jet are extra friendly and all in all the resort seems better than anything else I have seen in the Med. Contrary to many reports this resort or island is not expensive. Walk 500 meters to Can Joan restaurant where you can have the most amazing food and drink for EURO 10 a head or chinese all-inclusive for EURO 8. Even the apartments are cheap at the price, spacious, clean and well located. On the first afternoon at Jet we sat on our balcony overlooking the beach and the pool areas. Two Policia Local with gloves on and nightstick truncheons swinging, patrolled the beach dishing out hassle to anyone identified as English. We saw one lad sitting on Jet pool area who was ordered to stand, put his hands up, then very severely beaten across the chest with a truncheon. Another was dragged down an alley. The police were simply out looking for trouble. This, unfortunately, is considered normal in Spain. The healthcare at Can Misses Hospital is excellent. Which in the circumstances is probably just as well. If you ever end up in hospital as a result of the police it is wise not to mention this however as in the Med generally the doctors are frightened of reprisals. Also, beware of taxis as they will short-change you on a regular basis. Even if you offer a tip they will still "try it on". My conclusion is that Ibiza and Jet are great party places but scarred by a lack of civilization in which I eventually, despite the absolute maximum amount of tolerance and love of the Spanish culture; felt physically unsafe; That is not what anyone wants to go on holiday for. Currently Ibiza tourism figures are in decline. If the country reforms and the police learn that beating-up tourists is bad for business, I might go back in 2010.
Comfortable & Cheap
At first glance the Bossa Mar apartments seemed to fit all of our requirements, cheap comfortable self catering apartment. Very clean and well maintained. The beds are a bit basic, couches and cushions etc. The kitchen had everything we needed including fridge. Air conditioning is extra but a nessity if your staying over the Summer. One problem we had was our room was situated over the Joy bar. Now being an Ibiza clubber I can withstand some serious noise and sleep through anything but this was ridiculous, the music coming out of the speaker may have well been at the foot of my bed it was that loud. Till 4am might I add. If you’re not turning in before that, then you'll be ok. Rest assured we found alternative accommodation for our third night. Bossa Mar kindly agreed to a full refund. Noise aside the apartments are very nice.
Jet - It's not all bad.
In short - the Jet Apartments are very basic so if you are simply after a fairly central place to crash after clubbing then Jet is ideal. If you want a bit more luxury and sophistication then definitely look elsewhere. The complex and the resort are set up to suck money out of Brits abroad. This review turned into a bit of a rambling epic rant, so get yourself a cup of tea, a couple of biscuits or perhaps a slice of cake and settle back. Happy reading... The Jet complex is set between the Playa d'en Bossa sea front and the road that leads from Space to the highway between Ibiza town and San Antonio. On the ground/basement level of the complex are a series of bars, restaurants, mini supermarket and other shops. Above these are the various Jet apartments and in the middle is the reception for the apartments. Our group of 10 stayed in two apartments; a two bedroom apartment that slept 6 people and a single bedroom apartment that slept 4. In both apartments, two people had to sleep on the sofa's in the living room. One major drawback was that only one key was issued per apartment which also operated the lighting and electricity for the apartment. This meant if some people wanted an early night they had to be woken by others returning later - unless they leave the key at reception, but then they don't have lighting/electricity/air conditioning. The ever-so-helpful staff at the reception informed us this was 'for security reasons'. If you do stay at the Jet apartments, don't let the reception night time staff fob you off with their standard line of "it will be sorted in the morning". On the first night we didn't have bedding for two people - "it will be sorted in the morning". One night we ran out of toilet paper (could you and five friends survive the night without loo roll?) - "it will be sorted in the morning". Bearing in mind our maid didn't visit until some time in the afternoon, and even then didn't always change towels, sheets etc., this wasn't acceptable. Just stay put, tell them it must be sorted now and they will get the things you need. Unfortunately our apartment was on the first floor - and directly above one of the kitchens for the Moorea restaurant. This meant any night we wanted to go to bed before 2am (which admittedly was only the first and the last) we were treated to the sounds of a kitchen at work with plenty of banging pans, plates and god knows what else. All the bedrooms had two single beds which were easily pushed together for a makeshift double. The beds in the lounge were simply large sofas where the back cushions come off, a sheet goes on and hey presto - a bed. There was plenty of wardrobe space - six people managed fine in one apartment. One drawback of the two bedroom apartment was that one of the bedrooms was separated from the lounge by sliding double doors, so not the greatest privacy but it is a basic offering. In the larger apartment only the bedrooms were air conditioned whilst in the smaller one it was the lounge and bedroom. The air conditioning works via remote control only and has to be obtained from reception so a security deposit can be taken. In the larger apartment we had to rent a fan to try and keep the lounge temperature bearable at night whilst the air conditioned bedrooms were closed off. One of our apartments had a nice sea/pool view whilst the other was situated to the opposite rear side of the block, so the view was more of the facing apartments. If you stood on your tip toes though you could see the sea - so it wasn't all bad. The balconies were large enough although the flimsy catch on the patio doors didn't inspire the greatest confidence in security, especially staying on the lowest floor where the balcony could be easily accessed from the ground. Safe deposit boxes can be rented in the reception area, but are only available to access from 8am to 11pm. The kitchen comprised a sink, two electric hob rings, a fridge, some pans, plates, cutlery, cups and glasses. If you want anything more fancy (such as a kettle) you have to rent it from reception. The only thing we ended up using was the fridge and the bottle opener. The bathroom was a fairly decent size. That about sums up it's good points. The toilet seat was broken when we arrived, though to their credit this was fixed immediately. The only lighting in the room was from a single strip light above the mirror. The shower was hot at nights but cold/lukewarm in the mornings/early afternoon. Also the water in the shower/sink was absolutely disgusting. I'm not sure if it had been treated at all or was just sucked straight out of the sea but the salty taste was foul. It's hard to feel really clean when washing in it. There is a choice of two pools, both next to the beach. The sun loungers had to be rented at €4 per lounger per day, but this did get you a free drink from one of the poolside bars. Umbrellas were €3 per day. If you rent one lounger then you have to stay on that lounger. Don't go thinking you can sit on another lounger and talk to your friends somewhere else. You have to pay for that one too. The fascist sun lounger police enforce this law rigidly. There are several poolside bar/cafes and each plays its own blend of music. This gives great variety and no matter where you sit by the pool, you can usually hear at least two different types of music, sometimes even three. This doesn't get on your nerves when you're trying to sleep in the sun after a hectic nights clubbing, not at all. The world famous Bora Bora beach bar is just up the road/beach. We quite often walked to it along the road as it was cleaner than the beach. The only problem with attracting 24 hour party people is that they don't tend to care where they leave their empty cans and cigarette buts. Listen to me - I sound like Victor [--] Meldrew and I'm only 27. I guess that shows how grotty the beach can feel at times. So as the 'self' catering option is a bit of a non starter you can tempt yourself with the fare of the restaurants in Playa d'en Bosa... if you're the type of traveller who likes simple food, chips with everything and ordering your food by pointing at a picture rather than ordering from a menu then you'll be in heaven. In short, any restaurant connected to the Jet complex was abysmal in terms of service and food. The first day we all tried to eat together in the Moorea restaurant. It looked ok with plenty of people eating and a very tempting bbq cooking fresh meat and fish. Unfortunately the farce that ensued set the tone for several other meals within the resort. The logistics of seating 10 people together was beyond the waiter. We ordered drinks and only got half of them, then when we asked for the others they were added to the bill which we then had to argue to have taken off. The food orders took forever and they kept trying to give us food we hadn't ordered, insisting that we had until we made them get the order and show us. One pizza was sent back as it wasn't the one we ordered and it's replacement didn't come back. We had to argue to get this taken off the bill too. In another Jet place we walked in, we waited a few minutes to be seated whilst staff walked past us, then after seating ourselves and finding our own menus, we waited for ages for someone to take our order. In the end we walked off and found a much nicer place right on the sea front - les Parasoles, the service was warm and friendly, the view out to sea nice and relaxing, the food, whilst modest, was excellent. A few other decent places to eat were Tantra (in the evening though, once the proper kitchen opens - not the pizza menu through the day) and Passion - simply the best place to get breakfast in Playa d'en Bossa. Getting out to other parts of the island can be very hit and miss. Ibiza taxis are impossible to predict. Stand in the middle of Playa d'en Bossa at 7pm wanting to get to San Antonio to watch the sunset at Cafe Mambo and none will turn up. Stroll out of Space at 5 or 6am and be greeted by a line of twenty or so empty taxis all waiting for a fare. Apparently the authorities will only issue a limited amount of licenses to allow those that run taxis enough money to survive out of the tourist season. This means there's illegal taxis - Spanish, Italian, Argentine and even English people living/holidaying over there making a few extra quid to supplement their income or in some cases, supplying their sole income. You pays your money you takes your chance. The few we got were all decent enough people but you never really know who's car you're getting into. Several of them will offer you illegal substances to supplement your clubbing experience. That's about all I can rant about for now. Basic apartments that cater for the lowest common denominator. Amazingly, despite all this, we still managed to have a great holiday. I'm sure you can at the Jet apartments too, as long as you don't expect too much.
Location Location Location....Just great
These apartments are great for Ibiza clubbing and beach. We were 4 adults 30+ and we had 2 rooms. Each room has twin single beds and 2 sofas, fridge, bath/shower, toilet, balcony with table/chairs and TV, also air con which is free but you have to pay 35Euro deposit for the remote control at reception, refunded when you checkout Rooms were cleaned 5 times a week, in the afternoon thankfully, after the late nights clubbing. Clening wasnt the best but if you keep the room tidy the cleaners put in a bit more effort. If you trash the room they dont seem to bother with cleaning. So you make the bed and you lie in it!! Otherwise failry standard, basic but functional beach side apartments OK so you dont stay here if you want 5* luxury but for youngish easy going reasonably priced these apartments cannot be beaten The BBQ/Grill restaurnat out the front is excellent as is the 24hr pizza place, which is very reasonable Sunbed hire by the pool is 4euro each but you get a feee drink at the bar, on the beach its 8euro and no drink!!!, the pools are right by the beach anyway One important point if you can get on the 2nd or 3rd floor do as the 1st floor can be prone to break in and the rooms are a bit darker. USE the hotel SAFETY DEPOSIT BOXES if you are on the first floor. Taxis can be booked at reception or flagged down outside, to Ibiza town about 10 euro to san antonio about 25 euro and manumissioin about 15 euro. Or you can bus to ibiza town 1.4 euro. Loction is 500 yards from SPACE, 200 Yards from BORA BORA for those fantastic beach tunes and parties, no need for your ipod on the beach listen to Bora Bora. Ibiza town for Pache and El Divino. The clubs are awesome but expensive, expect to pay around 40 euro each on the good nights and drinks about 15 euro for spirits or 10 euro beer/water. So drink in the bars outside loads do 2 for 1 offers and are sort of 5 euros each drink Do the sunset at Cafe del Mar, San Antonio it will bring a tear to the eye Also Playa Den Bossa is not what we expected. I was expecting big groups of lads throwing up and being really roudy....only saw this in San Antonio west end....Play Den Bossa and Ibiza town especially is pretty classy and the area round the harbour is for celeb spotting Email me if you want some more info Have a great time if you go here we all wanna go back.....so much loved Pacha and Space and Manumission
All around great!
Just got back from three days at the Jet Apartments in Ibiza. I planned my trip pretty heavily because I wanted to make sure I was in a good place, clean, and well located. If you're young, 18-25, then this place is EXCELLENT for you. If you're older, it's still great. Centrally located in Playa d'en Bossa, which is within sight of Ibiza Town, and an 8 euro cab ride, or a 10 minute bus ride, it is a perfect place to be for the party life. PLUS, the beach is beautiful. Jet has an amazing complex. The Bora Bora bar/club is a great place to spend a lazy afternoon listening to house music, drinking, and soaking up the sun. Food is easy to get, they have A LOT of restaurants. Remember, though, Ibiza is a tourist area. All the menus look alike. THE BEST food I had was actually in front of building B at the Jet Apartments. Look for the big grill outside. Sit down and have a half chicken with veg and potatoes for 6.50 euro. Incredible meal! As far as clubbing, etc., don't worry. You can't find a place that is central to all the clubs and discos. Just stay here and you'll get around just fine. One thing to remember. Ibiza is a money making machine. No matter where you go, expect to pay for just about everything you need. Water, beach chairs, internet, everything. When I go back to Ibiza, I will stay at the Jet complex!!!!
