This hotel is lovely! I was travelling with many other people, and we had previously stayed in Berlin, in an absolute dive so this hotel was complete luxury in comparison.

The reception staff are helpful, and the bar is VERY cheap - typically polish! Also, the tram into Krakow centre is a minute walk away, so don't be put off by the non-central location. If you're looking for peace and quiet this hotel is for you, but if you'd rather be more central and sacrifice the quiet, then I'd recommend a more central location.

Just returned from 7 days in Krakow staying at the Galicya Hotel. This hotel is approx 20 mins by tram from the centre of Krakow and approx 30 mins steady walking.

The hotel is 4 year old and very clean, the staff are friendly only down side is the bar closes at 10 pm but when you have bars and restaurants open till 4am in the town and with taxis charging £2 to £3 who wants to come back for 10-00 pm.

The restaurant in the hotel has a excellent menu also a well stocked bar.

Krakow is very similar to Prague and the prices are very reasonable.

A visit to the salt mines is a must. also the concentration camps and the Schindlers trail is very moving and should not be missed. they say the birds still don’t sing and it must be true as we never heard or spotted any.

Poland and this hotel are worth a visit before it gets too commercialised and loses it charm.
