A very relaxing, peaceful place, the Akamanthea Holiday Village is very good with nice views of surrounding countryside, excellent facilities and friendly staff, we could not fault it.
Situated between the towns of Polis and Lachi in northwest Cyprus. Both towns have nice beaches with plenty of bars and restaurants.
Car hire is however a good idea to explore the many other interesting places on the island.

Firstly, what a fantastic part of Cyprus! I wasn’t sure what to expect because I had booked it four weeks before going on a late deal. I couldn’t have picked a better place. The hotel we stayed at was only in its third season and it was lovely. We stayed self catering although you could have been there bed and breakfast or half board. Our room was the best self catering I had seen. The one bed apt was spacious had a big fridge, had a big balcony and the bathroom was immaculate.
The staff were very friendly, sometimes a little slow but we were made aware by the rep that the staff were new and in training. We hired a car, which is a must for the area, but the nice walk either into Polis or Latchi was along the seafront. I wanted a relaxing holiday and that’s what I got, the hotel was spotless and there were plenty of sun beds to choose from. I could go on and on at how fantastic this place was. There is a bit of work going on in Latchi Marina but my advice is go there now before it loses its charm as small fishing villages.
Myself and my partner are only 24 and most couples were more middle age visiting however, everywhere we went we were welcomed and we met so many nice people.
Polis and Latchi is a must for nature lovers and those who are looking for a relaxing holiday, with lovely fresh fish restaurants to choose from. Polis has a few little bars if you fancy a night on the town but overall, the area is very quiet but well worth a visit.
