Corregidor Hotel

Having read many conflicting reviews we (party of 4) didn't know what to expect. Having recently returned from a 4 day stay, our comments are:- Hotel - We arrived by taxi about 10pm and went straight out to explore. Even though it was late we felt completely safe. Hotel staff were helpful with no sign of the unhelpful man on Reception mentioned by other reviewers. I would not recommend this hotel for several reasons. First, the man at the front desk is extremely RUDE and disagreeable. He seems to have drawn other unfavorable comments. Secondly, our room was WET. The drapes were wet, the furniture was WET and the bathroom was so tiny we could barely turn around. There was a flat screen TV and a bidet -- which were unusual luxury items for the rest of the average type furnishings. Paid 80 pounds a night including breakfast for 3 nights. Immediate area was seedy, and we arrived on foot at night around 9pm. Luckily we got a good map at the tourist info centre in the main train station. Lobby/reception was rather opulent with a lot of gold and marble statues. Man on reception was not friendly. Took lift to the 3rd floor. Room was not exciting, and small for a double. Bathroom was the pits. The bath has a small hole in it, and was more of a deep shower tray, since it was only half the length of a standard bath... more

hotel was a great find! very clean, helpful staff, nice breakfast. all round good place to stay. would reccommend it and would stay again. having said all that i would stay away from seville until all of the revamp work is done it's a bit of a nightmare!!

We have just spent seven nights at the Corregidor Hotel. We had a fantastic time at this hotel. The level of service and cleanliness throughout the hotel was of an excellent standard. The staff were very efficient and friendly. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis which was great value for money and of a good standard. The mini bar in the room we felt was good value for money also. I booked this hotel because of the previous excellent reviews and it really lived up to the hype. Hotel location is ideal for exploring central Sevilla, just a walk away from the Cathedral and Alcazar, and not too far from the river. A bit of building work locally (they are building a Tram route through the centre of town)did not really affect us, other than some local spots to hang out were pretty dusty.
