Simbad Hotel

The Simbad is a great modern hotel - the rooms are simple clean and spotless. We had a sea facing room with wonderful views over to ibiza. There is a fridge in the room which is very useful It is situated at the far end of Talamanca beach, which is a lovely chilled place, and not overdeveloped at all. - you'll need a taxi to get into town though. Stayed here in July 2007. Our stay was most enjoyable. We found the staff very helpfull and friendly. The hotel had been refurbished to a very high standard. The bar and resturant had a very contemporary feel. Several nice local bars and resturants within minutes walk. Make sure you book a room with a sea view. A very relaxing place to stay.

Very nice, new, quiet and clean hotel with fantastic views and very helpful & friendly staff! They even offered to drive me for free to the airport due to a bus strike! And they have two bikes to rent for free as well! The Gym is fantastic, everything is new, fitness room, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna... My room (Nº 316) was exactly the one from the hotel prospects/internet website! And very good quality of the food, plus the hotel has been renovated lately. Very nice atmosphere! Very recomendable hotel, i was very pleased.

We visited Ibiza over Easter and were pleasantly surprised at how nice Hotel Simbad was to stay in - the rooms were spacious, and the view breathtaking. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was very very good. As it was off season we got very good rates, and found the alcohol well priced as well. We didn't realise quite how deserted Ibiza was going to be off season, but due to the fact that we were staying at such a pleasant hotel our island experience became more of a relaxed beach holiday than we expected. I stayed at the Hotel Simbad (really should have a name change!) in the last week of september with my boyfriend we are both aged 21 and wanted a chill out before returning to uni and as ibiza is just winding down closing parties for all the clubs and the last good week for the weather it seemed like the right choice! We are both 30 and nearing the end of our clubbing careers, however wanted one last hurrah..! We chose Simbad because of its proximity to Ibiza town, but also its beach location as we are now 'one night on, one night off' kinda guys...! Just got back from Hotel Simbad, what a lovely Hotel, it has been up dated and in excellent order.Lovely views from the dinning room, glass doors that open automaticaly for you.Brand new in door swimming pool and gym.Great food with on show cooking for breakfast and evening meal. We arrived at 01.30 and a pleasant night porter was there to greet us and help us to the room. Accommodation was clean- fresh recently decorated with working air con. The food was of good quality with a good selection and again the staff were very welcoming. What an unpleasant experience this was. I am amazed that any establishment managed to make us feel more unwelcome and taken for a ride. From the word go the staff were extremely offhand and blase. The breakfast was awful aswell. The rooms were small and hot, no airconditioning. You may be saying at this point- well you get what you pay for. True but as there are many other hotels much closer to the action on the island with air-con this argument does not really stand. this hotel is in Talamanca,near to PACHA,so the place isn't too bad,but the rooms are really ugly (with no fridge inside.....)and the poolside is really small,the only(but important)good thing is that the food is quite good.i think there are a lot of better hoteles in that amazing island.
