Dryfesdale Hotel

This was an ideal location for a stopover on our journey from Leicester to Fort William. Reception staff greeted us warmly on arrival and escorted us to a very comfortable exec room with views over the countryside. Noise from the nearby motorway could be heard with the window open but was not intrusive. Dinner in the restaurant was the highlight of our stay: excellent food and well presented. Returned to this hotel because it had been very good last year. Now the service is less friendly and less competent. Bathroom had not been properly cleaned on arrival, which was most offputting. A shame because it is in a splendid position.

Nice hotel, in nice surroundings. Staff were very pleasant although there were some language difficulties. Room was spacious and comfortable. Food was very good. However, the manager (Glen) was extremely rude, not just to his staff but also to paying guests; not a credit to his company. We would not return if he was still the manager.

I use this hotel frequently for overnight staff meetings. The food could not be better, very high quality. The staff are all exceptionally helpful and pleasant. All of the bedrooms are of very high quality. The location is very pretty and it is only a few hundred yards from the M74. I would highly recommend it for weekend breaks (if you need some pampering) or small corporate meetings.
