I was very nervous before going on holiday after I read all the negative reviews on here. But I was very pleasantly surprised. The whole complex was lovely and clean. Our apartment looked onto the pool and was cleaned and provided with fresh towels every other day. We have a little toddler and had requested a cot and a room that wasn’t on the ground floor, both were granted. The accommodation is slightly out of the centre, but when I say that I mean it’s a leisurely 5-10 walk to the square where you would find most pubs & restaurants. It’s a nice walk but if you prefer a taxi it will only cost you 3 Euros.
There was someone up cleaning the pool each morning and throughout the week we seen staff repainting steps, railings and roofs.
We were only self catering but had a nosey in the restaurant and the buffet just seemed general buffet food (pasta, sauces, soups, 2-3 meat dishes, veg) There was a pub/restaurant next door that we went to a couple of times for lunch and food and drink were both very reasonable. Most pubs we seen offered 1.50 pints of the local beer Tropical. When we did eat out we were roughly 35 Euros, which was for 2 alcoholic drinks, two adult meals (usually steak or ribs) and a children’s meal.
The taxi from the airport was 20 Euros but the hotel booked us on a minibus on the way back with Last Minute Travel which worked out 5 euro cheaper.
Sirocco was really good value for money and I would definitely recommend it.

Both myself and my husband decided to do a last minuet holiday, but due to work commitments we had to leave on the 2nd of April so the only available holiday was to the Siroco. a very big mistake on my behalf. On arriving in Arrecife airport we were met by a rep from Thomas cook and he informed us that he wouldn't be traveling with us to our accommodation that he was standing in for Stewart our real rep as he was doing another tour and our driver would show us our hotels and apartments, he also gave us all a leaflet and welcome pack for our meeting the following morning,we set off all excited to start our well earned break only to find bus pulling in at hotels and letting people off at the wrong complex, people running after the bus to stop him it was a night mare start. finally we came to the siroco about 6 of us got off and entered the complex handed in our tickets and checked in. the receptionist gave myself and my husband a map to find our way to the apartment in the dark. on entering to apartment i was shocked at how run down it was, the bath i wouldn't put my dog in it to wash him it was that bad, main door had big gaps and cracks in it, floor tiles lifting up,I took photos to prove it and as for the beds the noise it made woke my husband up every time he moved in the bed. We decided to wait to speak to the rep, but a stand in called lizzy came again to fill in for Stewart, and out of the meeting she thought she would never get, She didn't want to bore us with the heath and safety stuff, said Stewart will deal with it all when he returns and explain all the ins and out of the holiday excursions. But up until Wednesday we still hadn't seen our rep only his photo on the notice board until we went to rancho texas a nights entertainment well worth seeing ,Some reps from thomas cook were there and my husband heard his name been mentioned and approached him and asked was he over the siroco and he was,my husband told i has hoping to speak to u about this holiday but didn't expect it at a night out and left it at that. following morning Stewart's picture and name were removed from the notice board, think he was sacked. Dont go all inclusive the food is muck, its cold , tasteless, and the breakfast stuff is placed in the bar for the snacks during the day. U get the same food every single day, we ate out after the first 2 days i just couldn't stomach it. In the pool bar there is a menu and if u order anything u must pay for it as its not part of the all inclusive. there is only one bar not 2 as mentioned on the web and in the brochure. Weather was bad first 3 days , with gale force winds the apartment was freezing wind blowing in all direction from the cracks in the doors and drafts from the windows we put the 3 blankets on top of the bed as we couldn't get the heat into ourselves. I couldn't wait to go home. Saturday came time to go thank god bus came on time but had to park at opposite hotel as the was a bike race on and many roads were closed .pick up was 9.25am flight was 12.00noon, we didn't leave the complex till 10.05am as we were waiting for a stand in rep that was to accompany us to the airport none showed , bus driver was screaming down the phone , we finally left with a bad humored driver rushing to make the next pick ups. On leaving on of the complex driver crashed the bus into a bollard and mangled the exit door , we couldn't enter or exit door jammed. Him Still in bad form had 2 very near misses with other drivers on the road. Because of my experience in this place i will never return to lanzarote, i should have read the reviews

yes we were very pleased with our appartment which was on third floor overlooking pool area. we were originally in a ground floor appartment with no views so we asked reception staff if we could move and they moved us straight away. The food was very nice and plenty of choice. we would definately stay at siroco again. Room was very clean and staff were very nice.

Just came back from Club Siroco. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment, when we were given our key, we found 1 double bedroom, and 1 bed in loung, My husband went back to the man at the desk, and he gave us another room with 2 bedrooms. It was VERY basic, water from the taps was very slow, Food was just OK if you put it in the microwave to heat it up, thats was every meal. Long walk to the beach and shops. Entertainment had only one person, same one day time and evening, he did his best but very boring on an evening. We would never go back to this hotel again.

I wouldn't reccomend staying here the food is awful its the same thing every night fish chips rice pork chope and salad. The pudding was jsut fruit and ice cream breakfast had stale muffins and stale biscuits the butter tasted like cheese and the toaster wasn't even hot. Lunch was just pizza which was always stringy and felt soggy the sausages and burgers were rubbery and i didn't even touch the babps. Entertainment was rubbish everything was for really children and the older discos were just empty no one ever heard anything about it, one night we did a quiz and it was over in 10 minutes its like he didn't want to work there. Music was bad and very quiet, weather was lovely apartments were very basic and we had to ask the cleaners to clean the room and bring us clean towels, it always smelled of sewers and the cats were always hanging around i wouldn't reccomend staying here but across the road is sands beach and when we visited it was lovely i would rather of paid for a more expensive place than a cheap place like this hope you take this comment into consideration many thanks

Just returned from wonderful week of eating out even through paid AI. There are a few reviews on Trip Advisor and Holiday Watchdog, reference the food at the Siroco and I can only agree. We were All Inclusive and luckily it was so bad that we ate a out from the third day for all meals including breakfast - we therefore were able to see other places, and not just those with food! We can highly recommend the Shui Lun Kok Chinese Restaurant near to the Hotel, the welcome was fabulous and the food was extreemly tasty, well priced, very well presented, etc, the only down side was the nearby shopping area (C.C. Las Cucharas, Local 4016, Costa Teguis, which became an area to avoid at all costs.) with persistant, mostly asian shopkeepers wanting to sell cameras and all sorts of electrical gizmos - shop keepers appear quite desarate to get you into their shops, tourist numbers are down, our flight was only three quarters full on the way out. The Waterpark was a great place to take children, and although not one for dare devil slides myself, it was a great place for adults also, and by speaking to a friendly staff memeber at the Hotel, you can get a 10% reduction in the admission by paying the entrance deposit at the Hotel, and then paying the balance on arrival. We are very impressed by the taxis. All polite, cabs are clean and fares regulated. We travelled through Costa Carmen on the way to a boat trip, and that now looks like a contender for 2 weeks next year, certainly not to the Siroco which is deffinately the end of the line - actually the end, as it is the last Hotel out of Costa Teguise. Now the Hotel - We travelled to the Siroco with a 9 year old and a 14 year old. Reception - bright, clean and well staffed. On the whole the staff were excellent with the cleaners needing special mention as the accomodation is on 3 floors, no lifts and those girls really work! Entertainment - after the mini disco finishes at 9.30 there are 2 outdoor pool tables to play, one indoor table and 2 other games machines and that is it. There is a childrens club with a very good young man trying to organise everything from that, to volyball in the pool for the older kids, to the evening mini disco, the hours he put in were almost slavery as he was completely alone. There were other families with children of all ages with absolutely nothing to do apart from the mini disco in the evening. The room where the disco was held is just bigger than what can be described as a galley kitchen and other entertainment consisted of, two men with a couple of snakes one night, a couple with some owls another night and acrobats, all of them took place was smaller than the average box room in a house, no air con any where in the hotel made the room oppresive, uncomfortble, and with the bar never open in there, one time in the room was more than enough for the whole holiday. The only thing for the adults was the bar until it closed between 12.30 and 1 am and so the children ran wild. Hide and seek in stair wells, in the dark jumping out, jumping in the pool and no intervention from the staff. Evening is surely the time when the pool gets the chemical treatment, so those silly enough to jump in or allow their children to get what they deserve. The Siroco is deffinately the end of the line, being a bus or taxi ride to anything! There are a few supermarkets, a chinese, a small presinct with very persistant salest people and another couple of hotels nearby. Do not think that even by staying in you can get a sun bed, if you need one, get up super early and reserve with a towel or get nothing. do not do the Sweet Karoline (correct spelling) boat trip, it is even more boring that staying at the pool, sitting upright in a plastic chair - the only option left to you. There is a 2nd poor relation pool, approx same size, same problems but no facitlities, the bar there in august not open and a trek to get even a bottle of water. Avoid the on site shop like the plague, 24 euros for after sun, and that is just the start. Now the food......we were all inclusive for thankfully only a week, we ate there for 3 days and no more, prefering the daily march to the chinese and beach snacks off the presinct. There was chicken and it was raw, not undercooked but raw, and when the staff (young man with perfect English from the Dominican Republic)were told they just shrugged, the 'stewed meats', yes plural meats were apparently pork loin left in a puddle of watery fat, the 'soup of vegetables' were mixed veg boiled to death and going mushy, and so the list could go on. On one day the all day snacks, which were burgers and sausages in the bar were not finished, and after a long day of sitting in the open, a liberal squirting of red sauce was added and they were served later the same evening (this was not hidden from view) for the evening meal. That did it for us and we were not alone, you have to go in the restaurant and give your room number and a waiter with a high lighter pen marks your room number off the list, they don't appear to go through many high lighters, people were seen every day leaving the hotel only returning to end the day for the use of the all inclusive bar facilities. If you are AI take extra money, if you are self catering the rooms are spacious and clea, a few small ants but nothing major, the supermarket accross the road in the opposite hotel is cheaper and far better stocked with 2 further supermarkets within easy reach, vey well stocked and slightly more reasonable than home. njoy the Siroco as a clean, comfortable base and see the Island.

We booked our holiday as a group of 12 (3 families) for 15th – 22nd July 2010. On arrival 2 families were allocated 1 bed apartments next to each other whilst I was placed in a 2 bed apartment around the back on the 3rd floor, with 2 small children. The staff were very unhelpful when we explained that we had booked together in order to be located near each other to be able to help out with the 8 children in the group.
The rooms, however where very spacious, especially the 2 bed apartment. The bedrooms are a good size as is the bathroom and lounge area. The Balcony was nice size with a clothes horse. Maids cleaned rooms every other day. However, the light switch was abo9ut hanging off the bathroom wall in one of the apartments.
The main Pool was a little on the small side but we always managed to get a sun bed. There is another pool area over the other side of the complex about the same size and less busier, perhaps because the poolside bar over there was not open. The main Pool Bar serving drinks and a very small range of snacks during the day for AI, and this also doubles up as the bar in the evening, but be aware many drinks you would expect to be AI were not. We were charged 3.50 Euros each tie my friend wanted her usual Martini and lemonade.
The Restaurant area is very small. The food was luke warm and very repetitive, pasta, rice, chips, meat and fish nearly every lunch and evening.
The entertainment was the worst I have come across with there being no entertainment for s days out of the 7. The mini disco which was usually due to start at 9pm consisted of the host playing music whilst she painted a few children’s face. The best evening was a reptile show. The evening entertainment was held in the disco which was a tiny room. There was daytime entertainment for kids 1 afternoon, during which the kids practiced a little dance/song etc to take part on the talent contest that eve. We tended to go to the hotel across the road for the entertainment but then you are spending money on drinks after paying for an AI holiday. Out wristbands were taken off us at 12 noon and we were told our AI ended then despite us not leaving until later that evening. A very quiet resort, we were a little bored at times and it’s a very windy place too. I must say I go on AI hols every year and this is the worst one I have come across and will definitely not be returning.

We have just returned from the Club Siroco Apartments and must admit we had a fab time. We are a young couple just goin 4 a chilled out holiday and thats exactly what we got,
When we arrived they put us in an appartment thet go no sun whatsoever when we asked the receptionist if we could move he arranged it straight away without any problems.
The rooms although basic was spotlessly clean and spacious. There was everything u would need if u wanted 2 make a bit of lunch, microwave toaster kettle. Fresh towels. (if u left ur dirty 1s on the floor!!!) and maid service every day.
The Pools were cleaned everyday n there were ample sunbeds although whilst we have been there some days we had the back pool to ourselves the front pool which has a bar and resturant was busy all the time.
Cant comment on the hotel food as we were self catering n didnt eat there. but the sunsetbar on the front of the complex is good for a snack.
The complex itself is just out of town slightly and is a nice walk down town......The coming back can be quite a hike. Its quicker to walk along the beach than the road, a little flatter to.
Down in the centre of the town there is a square with entertainment most nights and a lovely resturant called el patio. for a more cheaper meal we found Mike and Sarah very welcoming at the bulldog pub and possibly had the best steak there that we had all holiday. And they had the football on so my fella was happy.
All in all we had a lovely time n found costa teguise a lovely well maintained place n would defo go back 2 the siroco for a cheap last minute holiday again

I've just got back from the Club Siroco and I'm so glad I hadn't seen all these negative reviews before I went. We went all inclusive for a week, my partner and a 12 year old, a 9 year old and a 6 year old. We found the staff extremely polite and friendly particularly with the children. We arrived after the restaurant had closed and after putting our luggage in the very clean and spacious apartment we went for a drink in the bar. When we returned we found the hotel had laid on food in our room, cold meats, cheese, fruit and water. This was a brilliant touch and made us feel very welcome. The food in the restaurant was fine, different dishes every day and constantly changing the dishes that were out. The bar although full in the evening was manned well. The entertainment wasn't great but the kids really enjoyed it and got involved which allowed me and my partner some time together which was lovely. The pool was fab always enough loungers and although it was a little on the cold side, it was fabulous to take the plunge after baking in the sun for a few hours. The hotel was a nice stroll form the centre where there were a range of shops, bars and restaurants. All in all we had a fabulous week, weather was great and hotel was exactly what we needed and at a good price. It seems after reading some of these reviews that some people are only happy when they are complaining.
