fANTASTIC!!!!!! We had an amazing time staying in this hotel, the staff were friendly, spoke excellent english and went out of their way to help and solve any problems. The food was typical of the food you get abroad, I always found something to eat (I'm veggie and have food allergies - most hotels worst nightmare). The only down side was that we had to come home.
For anyone wanting a FAB night out check out the'LIVELY LADY COMEDY DRAG SHOWBAR' just 10 mins walk up the road (or €3 in a taxi).

Having Read The Reviews Before Going I Really Wasnt Looking Forward To The Holiday When We Arrived The Place Was Really Nice And the Staff Very Friendly Waiting For Us In the Room Was Fresh Fruit Bread Rolls And Yoghurts. We Booked Here For Two Weeks And Had A Fantastic Time, The Place Was Kept Very Clean At All Times, The Rooms Were Cleaned Daily..The Waiters And Staff At The Resteraunt Were Very Friendly And HelpFul You Ask Them For The Drinks And We Were Served Straight Away The Food Was Very Repetative But We did Not Need To Go Out All The Time. The Pools Were Cleaned Daily. The Hotel Entertainement Run By The Animation Team Was Very Very Disappointing Although They Did Have Different Shows On At An Evening, We Went Out to The Lively Lady Club A MUST To Visit Ok To Take Children, They Have The Market On The Friday At The Square Worth A visit. Dont Hire A car From Direct Car As They Let You Down On The Day Your Meant To Pick Your Car Up. Did Hire A Car And Went To Tour The island Did The Volcanos On Our Own Alot Cheaper A Must See. Really Really Enjoyed The Holiday, Definately Would Go There Again.

well where do i start ?
on arrival we were told that they had no two bedroom apt for us. we would have to take 2 x 1 bedded apts or be moved to different apts in the resort. they did move us two days later into a two bedded apt which was fine. as compensation our tour rep organised free breakfast for us for two weeks. she shouldn't have bothered. on our first and last breakfast trip we left the food behind us. as we left the restaurant the "manager" came after us and asked us why we had left the food behind us? i told him that the food was cold to which he replyed with laughter "why dont you use the microwave thats what they are there for" i politely told him that fresh food is supposed to be served hot to which he replyed , i suppose so.
there are two bars that are close to the apts , the first one is the pool side bar. a complete joke is the only way i could describe it and the less said the better, but be ready for a long wait at the bar to be served as service can be hard to get as the barman can be in a different world.
the sports bar nearer the road is fine and the food is nice and cheap and is nice for a hot breakfast. the only sad thing was the barman doesnt like to be asked for to many things one after another. one day he said to us are you all finised asking for things as i just want to get away from your table we were told. the lady with the red hair is very polite and is a breath of fresh air compered to others that work there.
the apts were fine and spacious. the apartment cleaners are excellant.
i think we got fresh towels at least 12 days out of the 14 that we were there. they are very polite and totally clean the apartment from top to bottom every day if you allow them in.
the pool is lovely and clean and there was plenty of sunbeds.
just mind the deeper parts of the pool in the blue section with young children.
the entertainment was a joke and as other people have said before it is mostly wild bird or reptile owners who want you to buy photos pictured with their animals.
go across the road to sands, their entertainment is very good and dont be put off by the hotel. it is a beautifull hotel and their bar prices are very reasonable. the staff are very nice.
there is also many bar and restaurants in the town to which i had no complaints. lovely food , great staff and great prices.
3 places i would recommend
a) hennesseys for their full irish breakfast
b) the steakhouse in the spainish square , lovely food and the manager even brought the 8 of us to a bar next door and bought us all a drink while we waited for our table.
c) and after all that you have to have one of the excellant crepes from the hut near lani's
overall we had a lovely holiday and will be back but maybe not to club sirocco

We have just returned from a week all...

We have just returned from a week all inclusive. (17-25th July) by the end of the week we were not interested in the food, however many people make mistakes with what they are choosing, they have a bit of everything then get fed up with it very quickly as a lot of it is always the same. Try to eat as you would at home then there will be no problem, for example I had egg on toast for breakfast soup and a roll for lunch and diner whatever was on offer. lets face it they cannot cook, the food was either cold lukewarm, stick to eating as you would at home and you wont go far wrong.
night time entertainment was Rubbish, you need to make your own we did.
cleanness of the venue was Excellent, the rooms were very clean and the pool cleaned daily, we were impressed. The receptions and bar staff were fantastic and although Spanish they tried really hard to pass the time of day and joke with you.
If you really want a burger and chips (not my usual kinda food) from the apartment walk up the road and keep going for about 20 minutes, you will come to a little place called the "Hole in the wall" run by a little old man he cooks the food while you wait he also does wounder full pizza, (there is also a few night clubs there open till 4am although reception didn't know about it)
My partner and I go to the canaries four times a year, we got what we paid for so don't take any notice of the bad comments you read on here, at the end of the day you are on holiday, make the most of it and enjoy your time there the week passes by so quickly if you want five star pay the price for it then you wont be disappointed. in my opinion it was value for money and very clean.

7 july -17 july,
having booked the holiday virtually independantly then reading these reviews i was a bit worried. We arrived at the airport where we got a taxi to the club siroco(19.75 euro)about 20 mins. we checked in about 9.30 at night but the reception were very helpful and provided all the infomation we needed including a safe which was 2.50 euro per day with a 5 euro deposit.our room was on the top floor with a pool view and balcony.
On opening the door we were suprised how spacious the apartment was, loads of room for 2 but still plenty of room for 3.The apartment was very clean and no insects. There was plenty of equipment for cooking your own food, but really i wouldnt think you would want to.
we needed basics ie milk and coffee,do not use the small shop at the hotel it is a total rip off,if you need to buy anything turn right out of the hotel and walk for 5 minutes or so and you will find a netto which is fine and cheap, this closes at 10 .
we never used the disco bar or restaraunt at the hotel, but the sunset bar at the front of the hotel is ok. if its a cheap meal your looking for try the los zocos ,again near the netto,it is the big tent like structure you cant miss it,14 euro for all you can eat buffet, chinese, carvery,or pizza/pasta stuff, just help yourself there are no limits also included is as much beer/wine fizzy pop or tea and coffee, again there are no limits as you are serving yourselves. if its more of a meal you looking for there are plenty of places but they are not as cheap as you may think around 50 euro with wine.
anyway we would not hesitate using the club siroco again but only self catering as it seemed the majority of people were doing.

was absolutely dreading the holiday...
6 / 10
Jul 2008, Mrs D REYNOLDS

was absolutely dreading the holiday after reading the reviews and on the first impression i couldn't see what all the fuss was about.
The first night of our stay we were in room 110 on the ground floor, which was a lovely home for cockroaches, we actually killed 4 the first night! this didn't bother us so much till we looked on the floor and it was covered in ants, we spent most of the time standing on them before we went to bed and thought we'd killed most of them, however at 3.45 am we woke up to severe itchiness when we switched the light on our bed was snided with ants, the whole bed was covered in them. My husband, daughter and myself went to reception and demanded to be moved, at first the answer was there was no other room to put us in as they were fully booked and offered to go to the cleaners cupboard for ant spray and clean bedding, when he returned he said they didn't have any ant spray and would come out and look at our room, on his inspection he was really shocked at how many ants were actually in our room and immediatley moved us to room 217. This had a few ants in but non in the bedroom but it made us very weary of going to sleep and hardly had any sleep at all. by the end of the week the living room was covered with the ants but luckily we were going home so it didn't matter.
Dispite the fact with the ants, the room was cleaned every day and i couldn't fault the service, the fixtures and fittings were in need of repair but for the 7 days we were there we put up with it.
The hotel staff are really friendly but the food is awful. At first i thought it was ok but after eating cold breakfast every morning and the same food for dinner and tea every day which was usually fish, paella, rice & meatballs we got feed up and eventually decided to eat else where, the final straw came when i found a slug in my salad!
It wasn't just us that moaned over the food everyone we spoke to had some complaints over it. The swimming pool was ok but as for getting a sun lounger you had no chance unless you got up at 3 am to get one, most of the young ones would put their towels on the loungers when they came in from the pub and would then stay in bed till tea time before actually using the loungers, this really annoyed me as they were there all day with no one using them.
LAnzorote its self is a beautiful island but not much to do except sunbathe, we were bored by the middle of the week and the club entertainment was a bit naff, the pub itself was very small and if you wasn't the first ones in then you wouldn't get a table, the drinks seemed watered down but i expected that with being all inclusive.
All in all I would never go back there and wouldn't recommend club siroco even thou the staff are friendly and apart from the ants the place was cleaned regular but the food and entertainment was rubbish. Next time i shall read the reviews before i book my holiday. The hotel said they had had trouble with ants in the past so this problem should have got dealt with well before it got out of hand, i just felt sorry for the people who went into room 110 after us.

I went with my boyfriend to Club...

Jul 2008, Miss H Deans

I went with my boyfriend to Club Siroco from 16th - 24th June all inclusive. We didn't arrive until 10pm at night and they had put us some bread and ham and a yoghurt each in our room which I thought was a really nice touch. Our room was lovely, really clean, really spacious and had a great little kitchen (although we were All Inclusive and never used it!) The maid came in every day except Thurs and Sun and she was fantastic, they even did our washing up and the place was immaculate!
The pool was lovely, a little bit cold but I'm really nesh! There were plenty of sunbeds and the pool bar was really nice. The AI included all the local alcoholic drinks and then Pepsi, 7up and drinks like that. The pool bar shut at 6 and then the night time bar opened (which wasn't really much but they had the football on and the drinks were free so I wasnt moaning and my boyfriend certainly wasn't!)
BE WARNED: The All Inclusive finishes at 11pm and then you have to buy your drinks and they are pretty expensive for the amount of ice they put in the glasses! about 4 euro 20 for a vodka and coke!
The area that the apartments is in is ok, It's a 3 euro taxi to the waterpark which is well worth a half day at least. We also went on a camel and volcano trip one day for 30 euros (5 euros extra for a 25 min camel ride which is brilliant fun) The volcanoes were absolutley breathtaking!
If your looking for good pubs and late night bars then only go here if you dont mind walking / getting a taxi. The restauruants are quite far out too. Puerto del Carmen is probably better for the pubs and restaurants. We did find a bar called cactus jack's which stayed open till 3 with happy hour (Buy one get one free) between 9-10 and 1-2. There was also Legends accross the road 9 (with entertainment and drag acts) and a takeaway next door!
The apartment entertainment was better for children with mini-discos and snakes and vulture shows. The food was ok, there was always something to eat even for the fussiest eaters and if you like your food scorching hot there is a microwave!!!
By the end of the week I was a bit fed up of chips but they had alot of local fish on which was really nice!
Overall a fantastic holiday and one that I would reccomend for couples, families with small children looking for a quiet break in the sun!

Me and my Daughter have just returned...

Jun 2008, Mrs J Link

Me and my Daughter have just returned from Club Siroco. I had only booked it the week before we went I had read the reviews and was sceptical. The whole place was spotless and clean, staff were friendly and polite, the food was a bit plain but was eatable. The only fault was that the hotel is used for school parties and in 1 week we had 2 seperate groups of 40 spanish school children and there is 90 arriving next week it was like a kinder garden. The life guard only came out of the bar when these children arrived at the pool. Desite this I would go again because in general we had a nice time
