Antibes Hotel

We stayed here for 2 nights in April, 2007. This hotel was a phenomenal find--a true 3-star experience in a 2-star hotel. The front desk staff was helpful and spoke excellent English. The hotel is on a quiet side street just a 5-minute walk from either the Sagrada Familia or the nearest metro stop, Monumental. There are also many cafes and restaurants within walking distance (and a Starbucks). Three us of (myself, my wife, and our adult daughter) were travelling together and had a lovely triple room which was spotlessly clean.... more

I agree with the majority of other reviews for the Antibes. Stayed here with friends in February this year and found it to be spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The reception staff are friendly and helpful, speak excellent English and arranged a taxi for us back to the airport. The Hotel is 5 minutes walk from Sagrada Familia and the Tourist Bus stop; 2 day pass for both red and blue routes is 24 euros and worth every penny (or cent)! A difficult one to assess. The hotel staff were friendly and the room generally clean. On the whole, this is a functional hotel to stay in. We had a family room which was very sparse. A very small old tv sat perched high up on the wall and there were no soft furnishings in the room. The room had a tiled floor through out which added to the spartan feel. Just arrived back from the hotel today, and would really like to recommend this hotel! First, its got a great location, there is a a coach transfer if your coming from Girona airport straight to Nord station which its a 10 min walk straight down to the hotel. Then its about 20 minute walk to everywhere else, its especially needed with all the good food!. The hotel says 2 star but its more like a 3 star! We booked this hotel based on other recommendations we found on Tripadvisor. The reviews were correct, this is a great little hotel that offers a lot of value for money. Location is great, only 5 minutes walk from the Sagrada Familia. From there you can hop on the double decker tourist bus and see the entire city. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. English is no problem. The rooms are modern and clean. Bathrooms are small but for a short stay no problem.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The location is perfect for people travelling from Girona Airport with the Barcelona bus, it's 10 minutes walking from the 'Nord' station busstop, 5 minutes walking from the Sagrada Familia cathedral. i stayed at this hotel for 7 nights with my daughter. the hotel is clean to a very high degree and quite modern. i recomend to get a room facing the front. i got at the back and a day later the reception changed my room to the front as i requested. breakfest i ate one block from the hotel facing to the right . the hotel also rent a private safe for 1 youro a day which is needed. its an hotel which i can recomend full heartedly

we stayed in the hotel antibes with friends, for a two night break in barcelona. The purpose of our trip was pleasure, and we were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. it was centrally situated for sightseeing in the amazing city of barcelona. A taxi ride from Barcelona airport took approx 15 mins and cost around 26 euros. The hotel has no fancy frills but don't be put off. My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Antibes for 2 nights in Feb06. The hotel was in a good location-just 3 blocks from the Monumental metro and within walking distance to Sagrada Familia cathedral. The area seems very safe, and there are cafes and tapas places within walking distance. The hotel is not luxurious, but it is clean with decent-sized rooms.
