Auchen Castle Hotel

After organising a family get together we spent a lot of time and effort looking for the perfect location and boy did we get it right.
Although a 4* hotel, Auchen Castle far exceeded our expectations and it puts to shame some 5* hotels we have stopped at in the past.
The perfect location for a tasteful and relaxing break was complemented by the superb cuisine and extremely attentive staff.
The views from the large and spotlessly clean rooms were stunning and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who organised a display of falconry by a husband and wife team, whose amazing birds are based at the hotel.
Despite inclement weather, we still enjoyed walks around the extensive gardens and wooded Loch and although close to the main Scotland to England route, you feel as though you have been transported back 500 years.
If you are looking for the perfect retreat with, friendly staff, excellent food and stunning surroundings, look no further, than Auchen Castle, as we will definitely be back.
