Winnock Hotel

This hotel is trading on its proximity to Loch Lomond and being part of a generally good chain. What a shame. The rooms are in poor condition, the staff are indifferent at best and the supposed Scottish fare is poor quality. I had prepaid for three nights and left after one. The General Manager promised me a full refund and then of course became very difficult to contact. I got two nghts back and am still waiting for the third. Had a weekend break at the Winnock. Staff very friendly, room lovely and very clean. Food hot tasty and plentiful. Loved the roaring open fires in reception, the bar and the restaurant, very welcoming. This hotel is also very child friendly, even a boisterous (almost) 3 year old didn't fluster the staff.
