Dooleys Hotel

Dooley's Hotel is perfectly located for everything. It's just a minutes walk away from all the main shops and was very easy to find. We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. It was our first visit to Waterford so we had alot of questions, which the staff at Dooley's were more than happy to answer, and nothing was too much trouble. I go with the previous poster. We just returned from a tour of Ireland and CIE booked us at Dooleys. It was fine for the night and they were very helpful. But, the hotel is in definite need of numerous upgrades. I felt like I was in the 70's. The mattresses and pillows most assuredly need replacing as just about everyone in our tour group complained about them. myself and my bofriend went to dooleys hotel for the sproai weekend which was brilliant. First with the location the hotel is right on the quays and 5 mins walk is the shopping area and about 7 mins walk is all the pubs, disco bars and nightclubs. The hotel staff were really kind and could'nt be more helpful. The room was really spacious with a double and a single bed, there was good storgage space and even a place to dress. we stayed here in August when our booking at the neighbouring Granville hotel was messed up. We liked Dooley's a lot - great location on the quay, friendly staff and a good breakfast. The rooms at the back of the hotel are quiet and the general standard of accommodation was good. All in all, a good value experience.

We stayed at Dooley's for one night in Sept. 2003 as part of a Trafalgar tour group. Dooley's is situated right on the riverfront and consists of at least two old buildings joined together by odd sets of steps here and there. That makes it confusing to get around in the hotel, and we really felt we needed a pocketful of white pebbles to find our way back whenever we left our rooms.
