Meadowlands Hotel

I was surfing the site and found the negative reviews for the Meadowlands Hotel. I was surprised because my husband and I loved it! It was of the 4 star standard I would expect in any usa hotel. Yes, it was difficult to find because of all the construction going on in the area but the location is perfect for touring Kerry, Dingel, Shannon Region and Kilarney National Park. We stayed in this hotel on Valentines weekend while visiting family in the area. We got lost on the way into the hotel as it's really hard to find the entrance. Eventually we found the reception desk where the receptionist was busy on a private phone call. She took a few minutes address us and her greeting left a lot to be desired. The room was clean and basic with very outdated pine furniture, cheap furnishings and a wooden toilet seat. Rooms okay, front desk staff lack personality. Called for shuttle and front desk clerk rude and uniformed. Shuttle service drivers generally good but corporate guests gets priority service. One guy must have been a former NYC cabbie! Breakfast buffet that was included w/ room wasn't bad. Better than most buffets. Have to ask for toaster service though. Maids can't count...had 4 people in room and they left 3 wash clothes all 4 mornings!
