Great Southern Parknasilla Hotel

I won a trip here with work - 3 night stay - no way I could have afforded this in Ireland (I live here!) otherwise. I saw the other reviews - faded decor, bit run down etc. Please please remember this hotel is up for sale in order to fund refurbishment at Dublin airport which is absolutely scandalous in itself when you take into account the history of the place and the people who have stayed here over the years. My husband and I stayed in the Great Southern Hotel, Parknasilla for two nights last weekend. We had a lovely relaxing time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were welcomed at the door by staff and were quickly shown to our room. The room itself was a good size with a fabulous big bed - extra king size and was lovely and cosy. The bathroom had a full size bath with shower overhead, heated towel rail etc. and was lovely.
