Ballymaloe House Hotel

Everything about the hotel is top notch including the hospitality, location, decor, food and atmosphere. The Ballymaloe House is an idyllic experience. I had no problem with noise but I was not near the dining room. I traveled alone and found the price of the room extremely generous compared to the place I had stayed the night before, which charged a single supplement. The dinner was incredible. We've recently returned from a 2 night stay and, unlike the previous reviewer, can thoroughly recommend the hotel as well as the restaurant. This trip was long overdue as we'd called by on our last trip to Ireland to look at the house 12 years ago, knowing we couldn't afford to stay. The return definitely didn't disappoint !! Just back from a one night stay at Ballymaloe House,Co.Cork.The food was excellent but we felt the accomodation is very overpriced for fairly ordinary rooms.I have stayed in much better B&B's and felt much more welcomed.The atmosphere is quite stuffyand a bit stiff.Won't be rushing back
