Limerick Strand Hotel

This hotel is amazing. Parking was easily accessible and very reasonable at €5 per night. First off the room was beautiful the bathroom in particular was great with a separate shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. If you have kids watch out for the mini bar though!!!! We ate dinner in the hotel on the first night and it was fautless. best hotel i have stayed in so far,lovely big rooms nice sennery,very clean hotel, nice food ,freindly staff,bar prices very resonable,easy and cheap parking,3 minute walk from city center excellent weekend bed and breakfast rate .

We stayed in this hotel in late January, and we had a great stay. The food was superb. All the staff, especially the restaurant staff were really helpful and friendly and the attention to detail (as well as the complementary things- bucks fizz with the lunch, coffees) were second to none. The facilities were excellent and the location is ideal for walking into Limerick. Has to be one of the best hotel breaks we've ever had.

We got a voucher for this Hotel at Christmas. We stayed there for my Birthday in late January but unfortunately the Hotel was very quiet. Another Couple in the Restaurant, which was extremely over-priced, though the waitress was the friendliest of the staff in the hotel. The Restaurant itself is very Canteen style, with no cloths or covers on the tables. The Bar is not cosy and very little room to sit, except at the bar. I recently stayed at this property for a weekend visit and chose it because of the location. I have stayed at a few Hiltons and this is definately a nice one - the staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were a good size and well maintained. My only complaint was that if I had been travelling there on business I would never had used the Executive Lounge. It was a souless little room that never had anyone in it, and no staff around - they may as well make it into another room and earn some revenue from it!

Had stayed before in the hotel and was thoroughly delighted with the hotel. This time however we felt let down by very bad service in the hotel bar. Everything else was as i described before, rooms, gym/pool reception breakfast were fantastic. The problem was with the service in the bar. At closing time confusion seem to have arisen with staff behind the bar which resulted in me and two other customers waiting almost 15minutes (no exaggeration) for 2 drinks which i feel is completely unacceptable. From the minute we arrived at the Hilton we had petty complaints, but they have all added up to make our stay less than ideal. The staff at reception were brusque to the point ot rudeness. I was sure I had opted for a bed and breakfast option on the website but was told in no uncertain terms that that was NOT the case. The lifts are confusing, some go to some floors and others do not.
