Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel

Just returned from a night at the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel and im afraid its really not worth the money.. We arrived at 1pm to be told it would be after 4pm before we could check in. We had a walk around Kilkenny and did some shopping, returned to hotel at 4pm. When the receptionist finally decided to acknowledge us we were told our room was going to be a bit smaller than the standard double room and would have to wait another half hour for a bigger room. we have just returned from a very pleasant stay at the Ormonde hotel. This was my first trip to kilkenny but I will definately be back. The hotel was a good choice, centrally located to some lovely shops and restaurants, there is a vibrancy to the area, we instantly felt we were on holiday, of course the sunny weather helped.
