Malone Lodge Hotel

The Mews Apartments are owned by the Malone Lodge Hotel & Apartments. Our apartment was on the corner of a busy street and was within walking distance to the Malone Lodge Hotel. The Hotel has a pub and a restaurant. We ate two dinners in the pub and the food was excellent. (The restaurant -although elegant - was kind of pricey so didn't eat there. ) There are also apartments located right beside the Malone Lodge Hotel and I would suggest you ask for an apartment here. This is the second time I have stayed here - both times in the apartments. The first time around the corner in Tates Avenue and this time right next to the hotel. I have found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. On both occasions - there were a couple of things not in the apartment - ie a bottle opener or a can opener and they willingly put it right. Stayed for one night on a quick trip to Belfast. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area but there are several pubs and restuarants within a short walking distance. The room was nicely decorated with a large, bright and clean bathroom. Complimentary bottled water, good quality TV reception, comfortable bed. The only downside was that the room was very stuffy even with the heating off (possibly as there was only one small window) and there was a fair amount of noise early in the morning. Had a quick 1 night stay here as a treat after being at Queens University lodging. Great location - on the University and Malone Road side of town about 15 min walk to City Centre. Close to restaurants, the hospitals, and the university. On a quiet side street off of the main road, so fairly quiet. (If you drove your own car, there might be an issue with parking....) The rooms are very nice, clean, modern, comfortable beds, have a trouser press, and en suite bathrooms. Staff are very nice and there is a bar and restaurant downstairs... more

The Malone Lodge Hotel was exactly as shown on the web site. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I was glad to see the health club had sufficient equipment of good quality. The room was fabulous with several unique qualities, like having a room key that fits inside a holder just inside the door to turn electricity on/off-it's always easy to find your key! The food was excellent; I had no complaints at all. As in other Irish hotels & B&B's, you must remember to take wash cloths and artificial sweetener with you if you want them.... more
