Cashel House Hotel

This hotel is surrounded by extensive gardens in a beautiful location next to an inlet of the sea. It is just past the local school. The Irish aren't exactly good about precise directions. We had a garden suite at the back of the hotel overlooking the garden. This was a very comfortable room with a large double and a single bed, and a sitting area. Cashel House is a beautiful, secluded, yet ideally situated medium sized B&B on the fabulous coast of Connemara. The rooms were big and bright, some situated in the old manor and some with ocean views in the newer garden section. Horseback riding is no longer offered as they are mainly a small stud farm now. However, the beautiful dining room, which is located in the conservatory, made up for lack of other things. The food was the best we had in Ireland, better than Ashford Castle or Mount Juliet.
