Flannerys Hotel

Very disappointing for a Best Western Hotel ... certainly will not be staying there again for a few reasons. The main problem was the complete lack of basic cleaning. Wardrobes could not be used due to the amount of dust that hadn't seen a cloth never mind anything else in months. Net curtain on window was very dirty and had a black stain you couldn't miss. Bedlinen was very tatty and threadbare .. the same standard was reflected in the rest of the room. I doubt the room had been repainted or refurbished in well over 30years possibly a lot... more

We were quiten reluctant to opt for this hotel, considering some of the reviews on here but as our stay was over the St. Patrick's weekend there was no other hotel available with a family room. We were very pleasently surprised - ok the room and the general decor could have been more modern, but it was clean - very clean. The room was larger than average and even with a cot, we did not feel cramped. We ate ok food in our room via room service but it was a little expensive for what we got. Spent 2 nights here and was impressed. Alot of work has been done to improve this hotel (i.e. the rooms have been renovated). The bar was very lively with live music. Breakfast was very good. We did eat one evening meal there and this wasn't great but other than that we were very pleased.
