Salutation Hotel

Very easy to find being located very centrally in Perth. No parking but a great little car park just round the corner which is free between 6.30pm and 8.30am...less than an hours drive into edinburgh which is a bonus. Although being located on what is essentially a main road, you wouldnt know it when on the inside. Very nice, traditional building...We would definitely stay there again although again, as with the other strathmore hotel we stayed in that weekend...a VERY creaky bed that kept me up most of the night!

Only saving grace was the friendly staff. Was very surprised to see a sign indicating 3 RAC stars. The "superior" room was very basic and smelt strongly of smoke. Renovations were being carried out in rooms along the corridor and work started at 7.30 along with a transistor radio. I wont be back

I have just spent a few days at the salutation hotel for the first time. It is a most fantastic hotel. The food is beautiful, the staff are friendly, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The hotel offers a very relaxing and enjoyable break. My only disappointment was the hotel does not offer car parking and I had to pay daily in a local car park. The hotel and food were so lovely though, this would not put me off visiting the salutation again.

We frequently stay at many hotels around the world on business and pleasure, we have just spent a wonderful 2 days at the Salutation Hotel "best hotel in Perth". The quality of food and service were excellent. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped and the staff were friendly and attentive and always welcomed you with a smile. This was our first visit to the Salutation on recommendations from our friends-we have booked to return and can't wait. Congratulations to the management and staff.

The salutation hotel Perth. Very dirty hotel,very run down,very smelly hotel.at £43 pounds per person per night you expect a room and bathroom clean and tidy,not a shower with black mould in it,empty condom packets on the floor,a carpet that looks like its just come out of a skip,metal hair clasps all over the floor is the last thing you need when you have a 9month old daughter.what a ---- hole of a hotel. I lasted about 2hours in this place,then went and got my money back and went home.PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY BY GOING TO THIS... more

I was at the Salutation Hotel last weekend for the YWCA annual conference and had one of the best nights i've had in a long time, the staff were excellent, the food was excellent and the bar wasn't too expensive. the rooms were very clean and well looked after, i was on the top floor which was entirly for non smokers, and the staff didn't complain when we made too much noise!! Can't wait to go back next year for (hopefully) another excellent night or maybe an even better one!

A number of years ago I took a group of students to Scotland and stayed at the Salutation Hotel. It was the best experience in a hotel of all the countries we have visited. We returned to Scotland after a few years, but could not get reservations at our favorite place. It was truly dissappointing. This year we have been informed by our travel agent that once again, we have secured reservations at the Salutation Hotel. I cannot begin to tell you how excited we are!!!
