Lochardil House Hotel

My cousin stayed here at the recommendation of a friend - brilliant find. Food, staff and room excellent, Location perfect and ideal as a base for all tourist type trips round the Highlands. Restaurant looks over beautiful gardens in quiet surroundings. Would highly recommend this hotel. Many thanks to Robert and Kelly for all their assistance with our holiday day trips.

We (wife and baby son) spent a night here in mid July. We were in the new annexe – the Clan McPherson Suite or suchlike. It was nice enough – large and clean with modern furnishings. Nice, bright spacious bathroom. Nothing to write home about. Also, the hotel has a lovely garden setting. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. No complaints there. Visited this site in June with a older relation, picked two rooms next to each other in the new build part of the hotel. Both had patio doors and you could sit outside your room getting the sun. Stayed for 4 nights, the rooms are very clean & tidy with a very large bathroom. Breakfast is brilliant the black pudding is very tasty, comes from a butcher for sure better than standard stuff also dinner was good. We stayed at Lochardil House for two nights and were totally taken with the property. We were in the older original building with it's old world ambiance. The rooms were the best appointed we had in Scotland with all the little touches like tea service, iron and ironing board, trouser press and a fan. The rooms were also spacious and well decorated with a very nice bathroom. Staff were simply excellent and offered assistance with directions, maps and mailing my post cards. Second time i've stayed here. its a nice hotel and very old. classy. the evening meal was nice but a bit boring. breaky was good quality. but enough eltonjohn piped music ! of all the great highland music, surely there is something more appropriate. overall - well worth the money and good vibe.

We were going to stay at the "Palace" Best Western in Inverness but they were booked so they told us of the other Best Western which is the Lochardil House Hotel and it was wonderful, the staff were all so nice and helpful. The location was good and out of the way of the city traffic but close enough to the city. The rooms were very clean. Stayed at this hotel after reading the reviews on tripadvisor. Another great find!!! Very clean!! Staff were very accomodating and helpful. Enjoyed a nice dinner in the resturant. Would definately stay there again.

Stayed here twice on business recently and was pretty impressed. The hotel is located a couple of miles from town but I was here on business so this was not an issue for me. Located in an obviously quite affluent area of Inverness the thing that struck me was the peace and quiet that you just dont get with an inner city hotel. Absolutely a wonderful place to stay. We were in the new, garden wing, and in addition to an extremely comfortable, clean, spacious, and modern room, we had a walk-out onto our own terrace overlooking the gardens. For those of you who care, the bathroom was magnificent. I didn't see the rooms in the older part of the hotel but the lobby, bar, and meeting rooms oozed tradition and comfort. Theres really nothing I can say about this hotel that others haven't already said (or written) Beautiful Building and grounds Comfortable rooms with a wierd shower enclosure in the older part of the hotel Fine dining with a service that lets them down just a tiny bit, at fair prices. Very fair bar prices The only things to note..
