I wish I could write an honest review of this hotel but as I have not had the opportunity to stay there I am at a loss. Myself and my partner had booked this hotel a month in advance along with another couple to celebrate their wedding anniversary. While our friends were moved from an executive double room to a substandard one (with serious drainage problems in the bathroom) we were put to another hotel entirely. The staff were less than apologetic and quite frankly could not care less. We did manage to have one drink there while meeting our friends, unfortunately the bar had ran out of a number of drinks though so it was just the one.

With the superb location is the magnificent character of the lobby and the room in which myself and my partner had stayed. The staff were all friendly, the hotel cleanliness was superb and the great menu at Ash restaurant felt better with the 20% discount they give to all residents.The breakfast was more than adequate and overall, I shall happily reccommend to anyone who is looking for a traditional Scottish Hotel to visit this place.The only small irritant is the limited car parking space.
