Imperial Hotel

This hotel has a great location. We had a room with splendid views across the loch. Also very convenient for the station and the steam train to Mallaig. We had evening meals in both the restaurant and the bar, in both cases very good. The breakfasts unfortunately let the side down. Breakfast is served as a buffet, but there are no facilities for plate-warming or keeping food hot. So everything is cold. Even the toast is cold. My husband and 4year old daughter stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in February. We are used to staying in 5star hotels so we were a little worried as to what this hotel would be like, but we were very pleasantly surprised. All of the staff in the hotel were extremely friendly. This a very simple basic hotel but very cosy and comfortable with very good staff. Food in either the bar or restaurant is excellent and they share the same menu. Breakfast was disappointing. Good central location but can be noisey at pub closing time . I would definetly stay again if I wished for a good central location.

The outlook is good. The rooms are average but thers's a nice resturant in the ground floor. The good was great. The location is also great. It's in the town centre with supermarket within a short walking distance.

I stayed here for a night recently and wasn't impressed. For the price charged (£44 pps) the room was very small, the bed wasn't overly comfortable, breakfast was only ok and for a hotel, they stopped serving breakfast very early. I can't imagine staying here again.

Our party booked four double rooms at this hotel for a climbing weekend in Fort William. The hotel accepted our booking for the sum of £86.00 per room for a two night stay(which we paid in full apon arrival). However we recieved a phone call at 10pm to be informed that if we did not pay an additional £50.00 per room we would have to leave.
