Great choice excellent value for money

Just returned from a week in lanzarote. I don't know what the other people are moaning about, this place was ideal, so close to beach and pubs, Room was clean and spacious, clean bed linen, and towels, no nasty surprises in the bath. staff helpful and polite called taxi for us if we were too lazy to walk. Beach was clean and sea was warm, massages available on beach by lovley spanish woman lol. Night life good, could of been better but not complaining as to the time of year. Plenty of places to eat day and night, recommend Cafe Ola and Lani's great for Steak. Recommend Tropical and Route 66 for all types of music and dance. And 928 the disco for later drinking and dancing. Recommend to anyone to go here especially the apartments. Love Lyndsay, Niki and Emma xxxx

Me and my husband booked to go here on the 1st November for 3 nights for our 1st wedding anniversary which was a little break without the kids. When we arrived we were welcomed and the apartments were great, they were big, clean and basic as we wanted and was just a few minutes walk away from the beach, bars and restaurants so it was very peaceful. The pool area was nice, it was very quiet which was nice as we normally go to big family hotels with lots of kids. Overall we had a great time and we loved Puerto Del Carmen.
Wee gem of a place

My husband, myself , and 12 year old son have just returned from Jable Bermudas Apartments and I have to say they were a real find. Basic but spotless, well equiped with toaster, kettle, coffee perc, hairdryer and plenty of utensils. Shower was also great. They are the most peaceful and relaxing apartments I have used. Ideal if thats the kind of holiday you want. Great pool bar - small but has all you need. We were here at end of Oct for NI half term and weather was fantastic. Also had lovely couple next door from North of England. No problem getting a sunbed as complex quiet - no more than about 20 -25 people at pool each day - no loud music-just background music at bar which you couldnt hear at pool -perfect. Also there is a beautiful black fluffy friendly cat who visits if you want him to! Only a few minor gripes - pool bar and games room closed on Saturday which was our check out day and as we wern't going until 3PM it would have been handy to have lunch there and wait on taxi (didnt want to stray too far as our luggage was in reception). Also towels not great, they were clean but not great quality. I wasnt all that keen on Puerto Del Carmen but loved the apartments and would return. Only a 5 minute walk to resort centre and a lovely 15 minute stroll to the old town. Good restaurants in old town -La Bahai (overlooking harbour, great sea views and great fish), also El Golfo in the old town, more traditional and great atmosphere, family run. In new town Cafe La Ola was a real find - on beach side, beside casino - -really sumptious surroundings and spectacular views over sea (reasonably priced too). Slow Boat Chinese on way down the hill from appt. was awful - cold buffet and very greasy. All in all we had a perfect holiday, took a trip to Playa Blanca which is more our scene. Jable Bermudas we loved, jusy not sure about resort. (and not a cockroach in sight all week!!!)
Loved them!

Stay here with my girlfriend on the first week of September. We requested room 24 and thats what we got, directly opposite the reception and on top floor. Standard rooms with cooker, fridge, coffee machine, kettle as expected. You have a TV with Sky News which we watched every evening to keep up to date, cleaned daily bar Wed's and Sun's. Pool is great but it's pretty deep with not much of a shallow end so it's not good for the strong swimmer. It's a very relaxing pool/lounge area with no loud louts screaming and jumping into the pool every 2 minutes splashing everyone. It takes full advantage of the sun as it's got all the 240o of the daily sun. Good food at the bar. It's 5 mins to the beach. People complain about the hill but's it's located on a volcano so you can hardly expect flat land. I recommend to do the Texas Rancho nite and visiting the volcanoes. Dont buy any electrical equipment on the island. They have a fake manufacturing centre on the island so 99% of all electrcial equipment is fake. Rent out a car to get a good look at the island but make sure your agency approves of them as their can be many additional charges upon return of the car. You can see the Vineyards and all the volcanoes. It's an amazing landscape. Restaurante wise it's not short on them but it's got way too many Tex Mex and they are only good for one thing. A bad trip to the toilet in the morning!! I highly recommend trying out these two restaurants. One is the Italian opposite Mary Sol's shop. It's a good 10 minute walk up the strip opposite direction of the old town. Every night we passed, there was a queue of at least 15 people waiting to get a seat. You can also make reservations for a different night. We love our foods and this is one of the best Italians we visited. We got the stuffed sea shells for starters which was delicious. Next is La Cascade Puerto. We went twice here because of the style. It wasn't, as I said the typical Tex Mex. It's in Old Town opposite the Blarney stone pub and has the most amazing food. Try the prawn and mushroom in garlic. Amazing!! The T-Bone steak is unlike any other! Get a sauce though as it can be dry. My gf got the Steak Diana and we asked for that sauce on the T-Bone and it was perfection! Avoid the tex mex if possible. The staff are rude and ignorant. In Puerto Del Carmen you are going to get harrassed by waiters at the door of every restaurant except the two I mentioned as they are top places. Just tell them you already ate and they'll ignore you. It is not a young persons place for lads holidays if that's what your thinking. It's definately a couples resort. Towards the top of the strip outside the sort of disco area you get plenty of reps trying to get you to go into their clubs and they can get very annoying. We got dragged up to the "best club on the island" and i'm not joking. We were the only 2 there. It was a joke. They get €2 of £1.50 for every person they bring up to them so don't give in they'll tell you anything. We got told by a rep that the place we wanted to go to was shut and to go with him to the place he was promoting but we ignored him and the place we wanted to go to was actually open. Proof they just want to make their money of you. We went to Charlies bar upstairs in the disco area. Ask a rep for it and they'll get you their rep. It's a good irish bar with not the typical Irish music but all types such as U2, Thin Lizzy, Jimi Hendrix etc. Old town has got about 5 Irish bars per square foot!! Seriously. Loads. Best I think was The Rare Old Times. Was a large bar but not rowdy! Hope this helps you all. Best advice I can give. Later!
Lovely/Brilliant/Basic

Myself and my partner stayed for one week in September 2006. The airport transfer took about 15 minutes. Our first floor apartment was directly opposite reception, one minute walk from the pool area and about five minutes from a Spar shop and ten minutes walk from the main cosmopoliton area, bars shops etc. The apartment itself was very clean and basic, for a self catering holiday. The electrics were a bit dated but in full good working order. There was a kettle, toaster, electric cooker, fridge and there were also kitchen crockery available such as plates, cups, saucepans etc. The bathroom was nice and clean and had a hairdryer and the bedroom was quite large which consisted of a large warbrobe, set of draws and two single beds which were comfortable. The living area was quite large and spacious. There was a three sofa setee (sofa bed) and two single chairs, a TV (which had english channels) and a telephone. There was a balcony with a table and two chairs. The apartment was cleaned fives days per week, beds were made, etc and toilet roll was provided every day. The pool area was quite nice and clean with a bar which had relattively good food (we didnt really eat there much to fully appreciate the food as we were saving ourselves for the evening meal!). The bar plays good music throughout the day too, which doesnt 'blare' by the way! The only downside, if any was that the pool was invaded by a small group of locals every day for which we didnt complain as they didnt seem to cause any trouble. MILK: Whatever you do, don't buy Spanish fresh milk - it was disgusting! Buy AUSTRIANA Milk (UHT Milk found in Spar Shop not in fridge). I recommend a TWO great restaurants in the vicinicty along the puerto stretch. LANIS ITALIAN - ABSOLUTLY DELICOUS FOOD and not too expensive. PICCADDILLY INDIAN FOOD - located RIGHT on the main stretch, keep walking until you see a sign directing you to some stairs - the views are beautiful and delectable as well as the food and the service. Opposite the apartments next door to the main reception is a lovely little bar, the staff were so friendly and every night there is an amazing spanish singer ANDREOUS. Every evening after our evening meal and night out on the town, we would come back relatively early to enjoy a few drinks in this bar (it is open until 2am). the people, service and music is lovely. Me and my partner would sometimes leave the bar about twelve and sit out on our balcony chilling and enjoying the music until 2am! (It was not loud enough to annoy anyone) it was soft and gentle! Me and my partner absolutely enjoyed our stay and I would reccommend Jable Bermudas apartments to anyone - the apartments were basic, clean and tidy - which in my opinion for the price is just what you would expect. The staff were also very friendly and the weather was glorious.
basic but everything i needed

This was the first beach holiday i had booked on my own without my parents, for my boyfriend and myself the appartments are clean the staff were friendly the location was close to the beach and only 5 mins away from the old town and harbour, it had everything we needed electric hob (not gas like previous reviewer says) fridge etc in the kitchen area the water was nice and hot the beds were comfotable the furniture in the living area was almost new, there were cockroaches but not inside the appartment only outside but we were in a hot climate so they should be expected it's not 5 star place but i never went on holiday to stay in it was very good value for the price
Average complex, Great Location

This was our second time of staying in the jable bermudas. We requested a top level room over the other side of the road from the main reception and pool (only 30 seconds away!) and that is what we were given. The rooms are a usual one bedroom apt. They are quite large compared to some places and have a nice balcony from which we could just about see the sea! The rooms are very basic and looking a little dated maybe we were just unlucky this time as our last room seemed in a lot better condition. However the room was cheap and always kept clean by the maids who were very friendly. The kitchen area had enough for us to cook with and also had toaster, coffe maker and a kettle. The bedroom was quite spacious but the only downside is the walls are very thin and the beds are not the most comfortable. The matresses are just foam but we managed for a week! The pool area was kept clean and as we visited in peak season it was sometimes hard to get a sunbed after 11am as the area around the pool is quite small and cannot fit that many sun beds. The location is brilliant only a few minutes down cardiac hill (can be tiring in the heat, but not as bad as it sounds) and you are right on the main strip with the beach infront of you and all bars clubs and shops around. All in all jable bermudas are a nice cheap complex in a great location.
Nice apartments, very central.

Me and my friend stayed in one of the apartments near the pool. It was basic but well presented and we found it to be in clean condition when we arrived. The kitchen has most things you need to make a snack but we ate our main evening meals out. The swimming pool is deep so you'll only want to use it if you're a confident swimmer. But it is very pleasant and cleaned daily. There isn't much room around the pool to sit considering the number of apartments so get there early! The apartments are cleaned every day except Wednesday and Sunday and they make your beds. You get clean towels and fresh bed linen twice a week. A word of warning: hire a safety deposit box as we had 100euro stollen from our suitcase and can only think that it was the cleaner who took it as we always locked our apartment when we went out. We complained and although we didn't get our money back we did get free meals at the adjacent all inclusive hotel. Not the greatest food - unless you like carrots and vinegar - but it saved us some money so we could use the little amount we had left to go out drinking! Another warning, there is no air conditioning in these apartments so HIRE A FAN! It was our saviour! The best thing about these apartments is their location. They are very near to the main strip which has a lovely beach (we recommend the pedalos) and lots of excellent restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Enjoy!

Myself and my friend stayed in the Jable Bermudas Apartments from 21st - 28th July. When we arrived at the apartments we were greeted by friendly and efficient reception staff who had us in our apartment within 5mins (which even in 5* accom does not happen). The apartment (no 46) was on the first floor and it was bright and spacious. The balcony had a view of the sea which I loved. The linen on the beds was clean and ironed and the beds were comfortable. There was HUGE wardrobe space as well and a safety deposit box. The bathroom was clean and had fresh towels. The bath wasn't so big tho but if your a shower person that wont matter!!! The kitchen was well equipped. it had a sink, hob, coffee maker, toaster and liquidizer!!! The preses were spotless. There was a three seater couch and an arm chair in the living area, both of which were comfortable. There was also some English channels on the TV!!! The balcony consisted of a table and 2 chairs and a clothes line. The swimming pool I have to say was very very deep. I am a good swimmer but for people who cant swim there's about a 2 meter length you can walk out and the width of the pool. The strip was 5 mins, spar was 1 minute with everything you need. the bar/restaurant attached to the apartments had nice food and the drinks and was reasonable priced. They even sold hula hoops!! The food in general in Lanzarote was more expensive than I remembered from previous visits, but it was still cheaper than home (Ireland) which wouldn't be hard...!! If you do decide to go there and enjoy your steak go to Las Cascada restaurant in the Old Town, Its only E2 in a taxi but you will get the best steak in town there, it was by far the best restaurant I have gotten steak in. I will defiantly go back to the Jable Bermudas apartments again but I certainly will not be bringing my friend back with me.......!!!

Recently arrived back from a week in Lanzarote and thought I'd write a quick review of the Jable Bermuda Apartments at which I stayed. Location: Excellent - less than a 5 min walk from the main drag (Puerto Del Carmen is basicall one long seafront street!). It is situated on a small hill so may not be suitable for elderly and disabled (although taxis are extremely cheap). There's also a Spar about 1 minute away. Cleanliness: Again excellent - cleaners come round 5 days a week and even left a box of chocolates on our last day to say happy birthday (even though it wasn't!). Rooms are cleaned thoroughly, beds are made, towels are changed, floors are mopped and dishes are washed. Facilities: The only problem with the accomm is that there aren't enough sunbeds around the pool in proportion to the no. of people staying there (we had to get there by 9am to get a bed if we wanted one). However, most of the apartments have patios/balconies so you can sunbathe from there and then walk down the pool for a dip. There were also decent tennis courts, a room where you can access the internet, a bar and snackbar. Staff: The receptionists were all very helpful. I would definitely return here and advise you to take a look as it's also pretty cheap!
