Ewington Hotel

This is a very poor level of Hotel (claims to be 3 star). My wife and I stayed the night in a very compact double room. The wallpaper was peeling off and the carpet in the bathroom was far from clean. We had the misfortune of having little sleep due to hearing the water pipes continuously all night. My husband and I have just returned from the Best Western Ewington in Glasgow and reading the previous review I think we stayed in a different hotel. We were maybe just unlucky in our room, we chose one of their suites, but it was one of the worst rooms we have stayed in. The decor was very shabby and grubby looking. There was a sofa bed that looked ready to fall apart and there was no hairdryer. Good price, nice rooms, helpful staff! I requested a change of rooms and was moved without a problem to a more spacious room facing the park. Although the hotel isn't in the center of town, public transportation is only 2 blocks away, 2 stops to central station. Highly recommend.
