Townhouse Hotel Glasgow

Broken TV Miniscule room shabby Bathroom Surly staff Awful breakfast I travel a lot and stay at a lot of hotels and B&B's - the only plus point about this 'hotel' was its location - nearby the scottish exhibition centre and the concert I was attending....had a great night and the locals were very warm and friendly - what a pity the accomodation let me down so badly. As usual it looked fine on the net..the reality isnt so rosy.

Persuaded by a most attractive internet presentation and on-line reviews I booked at the Townhouse Hotel in Glasgow's West End. It was a major disappointment. The place has become shabby and the staff appears unable to keep pace with the challenges of keeping this busy bed and breakfast hotel clean and tidy. From what I saw of the lounge and other public areas, as well as my potential room, I could not recommend this hotel. We spent only one night at this hotel. Breakfast was standard English breakfast and okay. Location was good (midway between downtown and the nice West end) with free parking. Very close to the bus stop if you take to Guide Friday, etc. city tours. Room size was fine even with the ensuite bath added in (larger than most that have been squeezed into a room.) The hotel was quiet, easy to sleep.

Superb location.free on site parking a major plus for city centre location.Handy for all of the attractions. GOOD FOOD& EXCELLENT SERVICE
