Devoncove Hotel

My husband and I were booked in for 4 nights in this hotel. We often stay in Glasgow, but this was the first time in this hotel, and we would not stay here again. The hotel was fully booked this weekend, and breakfast was a disaster. The carpet in the dining room was dirty, the tables weren´t cleared quick enough and were left with dirty dishes, no fruit, fruit juice and when I asked for a spoon the waitress and to go and wash some! I noticed that on our second day, the towels in the bathroom were damp, it wasn´t until the next day when I looked at the towels I realised, that the towels that we were leaving on the bathroom floor to be changed were being hung up on the towel rails for re-use. When I mentioned this to reception she said the towels only get changed every 3 days! We were in one of the rooms which had recently been done up, but the toilet was blocked and the water was rising rapidly in the toilet bowl. We booked out after 2 days.

I Cannot believe some of the reviews im reading about this hotel. I only checked out of there yesterday & thought it was great!! I didnt notice any of the things people have complained about. We stayed on the third floor ina tripel room (even thought there was only 2 of us) and found it v.spacious, nice & warm, bathroom was small but very clean and our towels were changed every day, they made the beds for us every day to. There was shampoo, conditioner, ect in the dispenser. I couldnt have found a nicer hotel. The staff were very friendly and very helpful and helped us out with all our tourist needs, breakfast was lovely, very tasty and the general athmosphere was great. I would have no problem at all recmonding this hotel to anyone, great location, great prices, overall very comfortable and nice and relaxing.
