Crowwood House Hotel

last yr when i stayed at crowwood it was in the middle of gettin refurbished so was lookin 4ward 2 seeing the changes.the bar and restuarant changed but wot about the rooms?rooms had same problems as lst yr and yr before when i was there.

This hotel has a lot to offer it has been nicely decorated rooms are a great size and basic but first impressions are good. Thats where it stops, the restaurant is very modernly decorated and looks quite upmarket however the food was well below standard. Probaably one of the worst meals I've had for the money I've paid. Found what I can only describe as a brush bristle in my main course then because I didn't enjoy the starter either decided to opt out of the pudding in favour of a hot chocolate instead, which arrived with a large fly... more

Booked as only stopping for 1 night so needed cheap convienient hotel. The hotel was easy to find, the check in staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, room clean and had all that was needed. Went to the bar, again staff very friendly. A really good stay - would recommend.

This hotel was a shambles - every room stank of damp even the rooms that were supposed to be refurbished.There were a number of us staying and most rooms were not very clean with various objects being found in the beds (daddy long legs, kirby grips etc). The service at breakfast was terrible with everything running out and never getting replaced (even though we were paying for breakfast as this was not included in the room rate). First of all, when all of us [9 adults, 5 children] arrived you did not have enough rooms. The booking was made in January.Eventually hours later it was sorted.The staff that were there were very friendly but there was only one person on at breakfast time. The breakfast was poor...called scottish breakfast - no potato scone - no square sausage. The link sausages we got were over-cooked, tasted awful. Also, why clean the floor with a "dettol" type cleaner that made up all feel sick during breakfast? The windows in the family rooms could not... more

Stayed here - rooms disgusting. OK it might be getting a refurb but thats only the pub, rooms are not value for money at all. Checked out early and went to stay at Premier Travel Inn just 2 mins away, it was far superior and next to a Brewers Fayre restaurant which catered for the whole family. Def stay at Premier Travel Inn again - extremely clean.

I held my wedding reception here. Although renovation work was not complete, hotel done everything to make myday perfect. The food was fantastic and my guests had a choice of menu, staff bent over backwords to accomadate me and my guests. They were all very proffesional and helped ease my wedding day stress! Every single one of my guests loved the crowood and they delivered an awesome breakfast.
