I booked this hotel via www.hotelclub.com, room photos were fantastic, room description mentioned bar, safe in room, hairdryer, etc. I shall warn that there 3 properties for this hotel: Guitart-1 is 2-star hotel, Guitart-2 is 3-star hotel and Guitart-3 which is considered 4-star hotel by the hotel staff. All these properties are called Guitart Central Park Resort& Spa. Reception placed us to Guitart-2, I guess they made their choice according to the room rate (53 euro per day). Being young students on a budget, my boyfriend and I needed to stay in an economy room and this hotel looked great. We stayed for 5 nights over half term in October. Economy room was deadful; small, tatty, and smelly. Upgraded to a "junior suite" for 10 euros per day which was quite good; spacious, and reasonably well furnished. All the food was buffet style. My family (2 adults & 2 kids) stayed for a long weekend in February. I read the reviews beforehand and was a little cautious about what to expect. We stayed B & B , not fully inclusive. Hotel itself was superb - room was spacious and very clean, staff were friendly and helpful, facilities were good, room rate was very cheap. Indoor pool was small but that wasn't the main reason for our holiday anyway. But, there were millions of Spanish pensioners - they swarm everywhere, especially at breakfast. We stayed at the Guitart Central park for 10 nights at the end of July 2005. The hotel is geared up for French, Spanish and Dutch guests and it is difficult to find a member of staff with a good command of english. The Junior suite was adequate for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, and there is a pull out bed for a third child, but this leaves no floor space when out. Just back from a long weekend and obviously this hotel is used by spanish pensioners out of season. Booked the economy room which was very basic however it was also very clean. After reading other reviews decided to go B&B which was a good move. The cooked breakfast was truly awful and I was too scared to even try it, but the tea and toast was fine, also croissants and bread roles with cheese and meat. After reading the reviews on this website, I was expecting to turn up and be so dissapointed. this is the worst hotel and the worst place I have ever been to. We had booked a stay there with some friends of us , on an all inclusive basis.
