I have just back from an all inclusive rugby tour. I have never been on an all inclusive holiday before and I don't think I'll be going one again, if this holiday was anything to go on. Breakfast was ok if you liked ham and cheese. I have never tasted anything so horrible.... more

a good base camp but not a 3*
Set on a busy road lined with pubs and clubs (like Blackpool, England). The hotel is a lovely building with lots of potential. The rooms are comfortable with 3 single beds in, a balcony with table and chairs, bathroom with good shower and bath. Rooms are clean and well kept. Hotel dining room is buffet style. Breakfast is typical spanish breakfast of meats, cheese bread but adds jams, the occasional fried egg, bacon and always a 'sweet bread' like a croissant or similar. In the evenings there is cold veg in the form of salads, one warm veg option. Then pasta, potatoes (mostly chips) and then meat - for what you pay don't expect veal - burgers, chicken legs, etc. If you smile at the girls serving you might get more than one. Over easter holiday the hotel was booked up by students on a Spring Break type holiday and so was quiet noisy - but no noisier than you average British 'Red Lobster' in his England shirt and this lot were not drinkers!!! The hotel staff were great, very helpful and polite and moved us. In the evenings we had keyboard players singing spanish songs in the smokey bar. There is also a non smoking area. The pool is a small pond between the hotel front doors and the road - their publicity photos are taken from the pavement!!!!! The pool is also mostly in the shade all day. Lloret itself is nice - if you want to go out and get plastered and stumble from club to club then you can but if you want something more relaxed and refined go to the opposite end of the beach where it is quieter. There are also some great walks in the area. The hotel is 2mins walk from the beach and 3 mins from the bus station which will take you to Barcelona. (direct coach takes 1hr but it is twice the price of taking the train via a bus link to Blanes which takes 2hrs).
Not the best holiday in Spain
We have just returned from Spain namely the Flamingo Hotel LLoret De Mar.It was awful! the reception staff were hostile, food really awful allways cold soft drinks machine turned off ,water had to be puchased,Cereals, soups were eaten out of cups, the same desserts almost every day, jelly ,ice cream and cold rice pudding.Admittedly they knew how to make good egg&chips.Normally we love everything about Spain including the cuisine, this time around it was a great dissapointment.Don't go there if you like a good nights sleep!
ok for the money you pay
We stayed at the Frigola hotel for one week and to be honest for what you pay for it, its an ok hotel. Its not the best hotel ive stayed at but its ok for sleeping in. The staff i found were friendly and the hotel had everything you need near it. The swimming pools were clean enough and although you didnt get much shade, the beach is literally a 2 minute walk down the road and there was more than enough sun there. Our room was the only dissapointing bit, we had only one plug in the whole room and this was in the bathroom, and when you go away you do expect more than one plug in a room. The bedding was changed probably twice we were there and the towels i think were changed every couple of days im not entirely sure. I dont think they sweep the rooms either as we found all sorts of things on the floor and went out and bought wipes to disinfect everything. I do advise people to eat out though, the food there is edible but i really would not eat anything meat wise. It is the same every day, pasta, salad, chips and a meat dish and a fish dish but i personally didnt touch either. Breakfast is not good, i wouldnt bother so really eat out. This is also not a hotel for older couples, its situated right on the main avenue with a lot of nightclubs and bars and the hotel is overrun by younger people so i really wouldnt say its for older people. All in all a nice stay in lloret but would choose a more expensive hotel next time.
worst hotel ever
Disgusting hotel room, cigarette burns in bedding holes in headboard dirty walls one electric socket ( in bathroom ) leaking plumbing, loads of german school kids unchecked running riot day and night, food very basic same every day and night , will not be ever going back
Stay well clear of this Hotel!!!!!
What can I say about this hotel apart from I would not go back there again if it was offered me free, this is quite frankly the worst hotel I have ever had stopped in. When we arrived the hotel doesn't look too bad but then it all goes wrong when you get into to your room, this will take a while as the the three lift are quite frankly crap. We walked in the room and it smelt musty and the door wouldn't close properply as hard as you tried to shut it and the same was said for the bathroom door and the balconey. I complained as was told that the hotel was fully booked. We had booked a double and we given a twin!!! I would rate this hotel 0.5/10 The food in the hotel is the worse I have ever had to try and eat , the chef walks round like he is the next Gorden Ramsey but could burn water!! Thats the reason my girlfriend and I eat out every night. I hope that people read the reviews on this hotel before the book unlike myself but I will not make that mistake again. I did try and take photos of the food and the chef tried to take the camera off me!! Why would you do that if you were proud of the food you had produced!!!
RUBBISH.
only book here if you are spanish, german or french. we were the ONLY english in this hotel and the english are NOT catered for!! If you like fish, fish, fish everyday you will be o.k and bread and meat for breakfast you will be fine. there are no televisions in the rooms as advertised which would be your only entertainment! If you dont mind being kept awake until 4 or 5 oclock on a morning and having 15 sunbeds to chose from- than this hotel would suit you fine!!! not a hotel we would reccomentd to anyone. will DEFINATELY not be going again!!!
Quite pleasently different to reviews i had previously read!!!
Good location for all bars and clubs on the main strip in Lloret. The beach is only a 2 minute walk away from the hotel. Hotel reception staff (especially Antonio) were very helpful and friendly, whatever time of day or night! Hotel bar staff, Tony & Floré were most helpful even though neither spoke hardly any English and we spoke next to no Spanish, we do now thanks to them! The rooms were basic but clean, with beds and a shower/bath room, cupboards and safe (you have to pay for the safe @ reception). The rooms were cleaned daily and towels replenished as needed, bedding was changed twice during our stay (16 nights). Our group was working in colossus nightclub (across the road) and we found it quite hard to sleep during the day as Lloret never seems to sleep. We are fun loving people aged 20 - 30 so was a good hotel for us even if some of the German and French guests made a lot of noise whatever time of the day or night! I would probably say that this is not the perfect hotel for families due to the late night/early morning noise, however there were quite a few families stopping during our stay and they all seemed happy enough. I never ate in the hotel resturant although some of my fellow travellers did, their reports were not bad, just stating that the food never changed. To conclude, I probably would stay here again but take ear plugs with me next time!
Those crazy italians
For the price you pay the hotel is ok, but when I was there there were some Italians that I think completely demolished the hotel. It is too damn lowd. The food was every single day the same ( 1st day spaghetti; 2nd day macaroni; 3rd day angel hair pasta, but always with the same sauce).
absolutely rubbish
really, what can i say not cheap, we wanted sun and fun.... what did we get? RAIN, bad food, ants, poor english speaking staff that didnt give a toss one side of the hotel was average(which just happens to be the bit they take pics of).. however, thats for the germans - ENGLISH? over there cracked floor tiles by the pool, sloping pool tables darkened telephone kiosks with slots ur money wont fit in safety deposit boxes in reception, where anybody can see what u've got food? my cat eats better than that basically, breakfast - hard bread rolls, cereal in a cup with warm milk.. badly cooked ham, shocking tasting (we think) turkey evening meal - bread rolls left from breakfast, even harder, salad, cold rice, badly cooked potatoes, in fact the only thing warm was the drinks they SOLD you the floor in the room was a sea of ants, the balcony was approx 1ft square with 2 chairs rammed on it, no1, and i mean no1 could sit on them, they were minging cigarette burns on the bedding, a toilet flush that could snap ur fingers in a shot stay away, really, its poor, infact lloret is just crap, expensive, the food is vile, boatloads of half naked birds drinking pints and being hunted down by sex hungry extra hormonal lads full of testosterone... the nightlife goes quiet around 5-30 in the morn.. and the selfish gits all sleep till they do it all again, startin 5 in the evenin..the only thing half decent is nights when the footy is on.. only the good lord knows wot they do out of season and the people 'do you speak english?' 'little' as they held there fingers together to demostrate how little they speak a lot dont even speak spanish, theyre so ignorant, they speak catalan oh and the air conditioning lie? exactly, u get a radiator, which is always on... im sure the aints loved that no coathangers, nothing to help u be comfortable AND there was one plug socket in the whole 'apartment' in the bathroom, over the sink (safety first, not a chance) in fact , to be honest we only saw one hotel that was probably nice, and that was the the gitart, and be careful, theres around 10 of them, so do your homework if ur deperate to go to lloret, or spend yer money going somewhere proper
crap
the hotel was old and needs a good makeover, the food i would not feed my dog, glad i was only there for one night.
