Flamingo & Frigola Hotel

Just back from 7 days in the Frigola (even the cold and rain cound'nt wipe the smile from our faces just to be out of THAT HOTEL and back home) Arrived around 11.15pm to no food or drinks available we were checked in by 11.50 the bar was closed yet the sign said open till 12pm. Our room was facing the street on the first floor across from two big disco bars, no double glazing so noise was terrible till around 5am, holes in the curtains so unable to even shut out the lights.3 beds in the room, cound'nt open wardrobe door without moving one of the beds.Bathroom door had a hole in you could put your fist thro,(think thats how it got there) Everything in the Figola was closed so we had to use the Flamingo reception,bar,restaurant and lounge. The food was terrible, at breakfast you could have hard boiled eggs only (was told there was scrabbled eggs but it was a cross between yellow jelly and peaspudding) at one meal i could not tell what it was i asked a waiter and he said " meat chicken or turkey! yes meat" ) there was nothing to tell you what you were eating if you cound't tell by looking at it. The bar opened approx 11am till 10pm for all incllusive and closed at approx, 12pm the barman went "walk about" at times and you just had to wait till he came back. Allinclusive hotel what a joke.when we left people shouted at us you lucky b!!"""ds going home. The design of both hotels meant the pool areas got very little sun so no sunbathing, pools were'nt clean so no swimming.We as a family and later as a couple have had a lot holidays in Spain.Greece, France, Eygpt,Tunisia.Malta. Mexico and never had such a terrible time, we are not hard to please but belive me when we say don't touch this hotel with a barge pole.

We stayed in the Frigola in September and we certainly wont be going there again. it'sonly savig grace was that you got your towels changed every day and our maid was so lovely - she was wasted on the plce. Hotel is filthy, marks on the walls, ceilings and pool area looks so dirty we didn;t go in the pool and kept something on our feet the whole time. reception staff were rude and very unhelpful and the area was always clustered with drunks. Although we booked a room at the "back" as the hotel is "U" shaped the noise from people coming back in echoed around the area and then we were subjected to people running and screaming through the corridors, knocking on doors and talking or agruing all hours of the night - up to and including 6am. The room was disgusting - 3 single beds that were hard, a worn out table and the patio held two chairs and a table - we never go any sunon our balcony and they all just look across to the other side of the hotel - so keep your curtains closed when changing (if you can!!) As for the food - call a health inspector. Lived on toast and boiled eggs and wouldn't touch the scrambled egg!!!!!The meats were all cold and so unappetising and there was nothing to inspire you at all. We were only B&B nut were told that the other meals were just the same. Two days before we left they closed the reception area - meaning you had to come and go throught the Flamingo along with our restaurant - no one told us but we worked out that we had to eat in the Flamingo - food no better there!!! We watched kitchen equipment being moved into the Flamingo from our hotel and some rooms were having curtains and other equipment taken away - perhaps the hotel was finally being CLOSED!!!! The only good thing we found was The Highway Bar round the corner - saved our holiday and met some great people there.

Food was the same day after day snacks were left overs from previous meals. Main meal [evening] served cold [microwave provided].No entertainement,games room,pool area in total shade and not enough sun beds.Bar times resricted 10pm for all inclusive guests.Beach areas stones

This was the worst place that I have ever stayed on holidays. There was no sun round the pool, no kettles in the bedrooms r televisons. The noise for the street was terrible never got any sleep for the whole week.. Would not recommend this hotel to anybody..

I never review -or complain but Im that distarught I wouldnt want another family to go through it. What a hell hole that hotel is. It is absolutley appalling they can send a family of 6 to a place like that. We had our young baby there-it really is appalling. We arrived at the Hotel Flamingo only to be redirected (no where it stated that when we booked) down the road to a 'sister' hotel Frigola - It was like a prison in a war zone. There was glass shattered all across the floor, there was a smashed window outside our door.(6 stories high-sheer drop) We couldnt get in with our key and had to 'bump' the door open. The room was no bigger than a cell and beared a similar resemblance, the cot provided looked like it was out of a horror film, disfigured metal with dangerous bolts sticking out of it.The decor (the least of our problems) was shabby, graffiteed, old and unclean. We were the ONLY family in the hotel (except on arriving we seen one family leaving in floods of tears). The hotel was full of people aged between 15-20 and they were outrageous in their behaviour making an allready miserable stay worse.We had notes pushed under our door with obscene messages on. They ran through the corridoors all night (till 4:30am) and banged on our door non stop -we were genuinely scared as they were chanting and aggressive towards the lone security guard at the hotel we didnt dare open our door. The hotel room itself had NO electricity, no phoneline to reception (as advertised) and was filthy dirty. I begged the receptionist who was fed up of complaints to move rooms in an effort to make our holiday better - that didnt help, it was one cell to another. I stood at reception and pleaded to speak to management by day 4 as we were all so tired and stressed, something had to be done. After 12 HOURS!! I finally got to speak with a manager who I told, we have saved very hard as a family all year long and built our hopes up for a lovely family holiday to come to this place is like a living nightmare. He agreed and said he was sorry. He also said that the hotel was NOT suitable for families and he was sorry but he had nothing to work with. He said he will move us to the Flamingo the next day (our last two days) full board. We accepted and spent our last two days sleeping in the Flamingo our holiday ruined.
How can a company do that to a hard working family? £878.29 is a lot of money for us and we were all devastated. My poor 7 year old who is normally happy and jolly didn't smile for a week. I took time off work to spend quality time with my two boys, husband, mother-in-law and brother. There was nothing 'quality' about it. That hotel needs closing down, the management have lost control over it and the people in it. I want to take this further - I don't want anymore poor families sent to that place.

On arrival at this hotel my first impressions were that of utter dissapointment. It is advitised as a family hotel but drugs are visable all around the balconys from your room and sleep is impossible. The hotel is full of young germans that have no respect for anyone.All of the staff have an attitude problem and were no help to us at all.

Will never in my life recomend this 'hotel'. It's a joke, filthy rusting toilets and floors i was afraid to stand on they were so filthy. breakfast was disgusting, powdered eggs i think, looks like its not had a coat of paint since it was built..wouldnt be surprized if they were just running it into the ground before e.h.o. closes it completley..amazed they get away with this..holiday companys should be took to task for recomending it..worst i have ever been in..got up and left all day every day..totally exausted when we got home. cant believe its still open..on second thoughts i wouldn't send my worst enemy here..pleeeeease if you have booked cancel cancel cancel b4 its too late. if its too late too cancel...stay home

I have just back from an all inclusive rugby tour. I have never been on an all inclusive holiday before and I don't think I'll be going one again, if this holiday was anything to go on.
Breakfast was ok if you liked ham and cheese. I have never tasted anything so horrible.
I didn't get lunch or dinner.
The bar was a joke. The hotel was packed with Rugby, Hockey and Netball teams, and for some reason they only employed one barman, and he had the biggest chip on his shoulders.
At the sports tournament, there was a pay bar. £2.50 for half a larger.
All in all, for an all inclusive tour, I had 1 meal and 3 free larger's.
The hotel was basic, we were treated like children.

Booked a week away at the Frigola only to get there and find that the hotel had been closed 2 days previous and was put up at the sister hotel Flamingo next door only to be told it was the better hotel of the two 3*.... What a joke!!!!
We paid for half board only to have to eat out every single morning and night as the food was always the same cold and tastless!!
Room had no tea/coffee facilities and no hairdryer in the room, first time ever.
Never again.

the food was disgusting, youths were running wild every night.the last night up to 30 youths were fighting .one person had a bottle smashed on his head.we locked ourselfs in our rooms.police came,the staff were unhelpfull i really cant say anything good about it except to say the rooms were cleaned every day
