The hotel was basic but clean, food ok. The resort was very boring and quiet. The waiter and bar staff where so unfriendly which ruined the holiday, also the local shop staff where the most rudeist people I have ever meet. The Thomson staff where very friendly, thank goodness or I would of asked for a transfer. If you want good family hotel stick to the Fiesta Don Toni in Ibiza, which is owned by the same group, the staff in the Don Toni and childrens entertainment is excellent.

Booked through Thompson, flying from birmingham airport, lookout when you get to the airport, in their infinate wisdom thompson are booking three flights in through two check-in desks, the queue was out through the door!!! Forward toilet broken on the plane out-bound and suprisingly in-bound. Transfer to the hotel takes approx 1 hour after all the drop offs, no rep on the bus just get on with it. Welcome to the welcome meeting and can we sell you any trips???? Are you sure we can't sell you any trips??? little information just lots about thompson selling you trips, don't bother we booked Lorro park for a massive 14 euro less each than thompsons were offering! Bus picks you up outside the hotel exactly the same. Room in the hotel was very basic, grubby and in need of up dating. Be warned there is no air conditioning only a noisy ceiling fan that re distributes the heat throughout the room. Food is not very inspiring, breakfast is ok if you like fatty smoked bacon. Evening meals are very bland and tasteless. Good bus service running outside that costs 3.50 euros for a couple to playa las americas and 4.20 to los christianos. Look out if you venture to either, the timeshare touts are relentless and in plentiful supply, we won the star prize twice OMG and all you have to do is sit through a 6 hour presentation, don't be fooled!!!
The Thompson reps are a waste of time unless you are buying trips then they can't help you enough! Kiddies club? What kiddies club??? there were quite a few kiddies there but no club? how does that work then?? Hotel staff are helpful but the beer is expensive. Half a dozen local bars outside the hotel but nothing much else. don't expect to be entertained.

Had a great holiday. Food good, room clean hotel OK but needs updating. Bus service to Las Americas good. Drinks in hotel expensive so recommend the Brittania bar up the road run by Lee from Stoke. Don't book trips with Thomson as the reps are incompetent, don't sell the package truthfully and are not interested in client. Very inexperienced. Overall, would still recommend as had a great time.

we have just returned from a weeks all inclusive at the oasis and can thoroughly recommend it for a relaxing family holiday. plenty to do all day(if we wanted to) and the kids were entertained well both day and night with thomson and fiesta reps. food was varied each day and always well presented and a good selection to suit all our ages from 4 to 50!!!! rooms were cleaned daily and the hotel in all areas had a good standard of cleanliness. staff were friendly and hard working. playa paraiso is definately a resort to visit if you like a quiet relaxing time but those people expecting the bustle of las americas should not book to stay in this resort. its quaint but quiet!! we have no problem in returning to this resort and staying at the oasis with our 4 children. a big well done to the thomson team again and the staff and reps at the fiesta oasis x

We have just returned from the oasis paraiso and my overall comment would be BORING. The resort itself is very quiet and is only about 100m long, with the usual souviner shops, only a few bars all which were dead apart from the britannia inn which was brill. the hotel is ok, clean and rooms were generally fine. hotel food is reasonable but just same old same old really. the beach is only a 5 min walk but not really much of a beach! black sand and very pebbly and very small (a little cove really), ok for snorkelling. there is a bus service that takes you from the hotel to christianos or americas in about 40 mins. aqualand is very expensive 24 Euro to get in for adults 17 for children, you have to pay for your inflatables to actually go on the rides at 11 euro each and you dont get any money back from them, lockers 4 euro, food v expensive. overall i wouldn't go back to this resort or hotel it was just too quiet and nothing to do.

the bad comments about the food have been improved on the owner of the hotel has em[ployed a new cook and i can say the food was never the same every meal i had in the hotel was enjoyable.
the pool is icy cold which is good for the hot weather we had in our weeks visit.
there is a beach nearby but has black sand so isnt very good to use but theres a nice pathway where you can watch the sun set and also have a days fishing
the views from the hotel are excelent you have a view of the ocean and a view of the pool (from where i was in room 513)
the family games are great and alot of people take part the staff are pleasant and aziz is a real laugh. the games vary throughout the week and if you win you get a cirtificate and t-shirt.
the only problems that there might be but i didnt have a problem with is theres no air-con but the nights are cool around april so there not needed
oerall i give this holiday 8 out of 10 and it definately deserves to be 4 star

ALTHOUGH THIS IS A VERY SMALL RESORT THE HOTEL WAS GREAT. THE ROOMS WERE COMFORTABLE AND CLEANED EVERY DAY WITH FRESH TOWELLS DAILY. THERE WAS A GOOD CHOICE OF FOOD WITH SOMETHING TO SUIT EVERYONE. THE HOTEL STAFF WERE PLEASANT AND HELPFULL, THE ENTERTAINMENT WAS GOOD WITH KIDS DISCO AND BINGO EVERY NIGHT. THE ENTERTAINMENT STAFF WERE FANTASTIC ESPECIALLY AZIZ WHO WAS GREAT WITH THE KIDS. OVERALL IT WAS A GREAT HOLIDAY AND HAVE ALREADY BOOKED TO GO BACK IN AUGUST WITH A FRIEND AND HER 8yr OLD SON. THIS IS A GREAT HOTEL FOR FAMILIES AND PEOPLE WANTING A RELAXING HOLIDAY.

We have been coming here for 8 years and would highly recommend it. We find the hotel staff very polite and helpful, from the manager’s right down to the cleaners.
The rooms are clean and roomy enough (after all, who goes on holiday to spend all their time in their room?) and the maid service every day is excellent. We must make special mention of Myriam, the leader of the animation team, as a couple of years ago a friend ours had his camera stolen and as he did not speak Spanish was getting nowhere with the police until Myriam stepped in and sorted them out.
We meet many people who come here year after year and who have been coming for more years than we have, so many people can't be wrong, can they?
We are coming again in 2008.

Well after reading some of the reviews I was extremely dubious about what the hotel was going to be like but I was pleasantly surprised! The room was a reasonable size even for a single, the bathroom appeared to be fairly new, the bed was comfy and I had a nice view on to the pool. The safety deposit boxes are rented from reception and cost €13 plus a €5 deposit and if you want to watch the tv in your room you have to pay a deposit of €10 for the remote control which is returned when you checkout, you can only get CNN & BBC news in English though.
All the food was buffet and you couldn't fault it. Breakfast was a choice of cooked, pastry's, fruit, cheeses, meats, fresh bread, yoghurts and there was tea's, coffee, juice & water to drink.
In the evening they have a different theme every night, Spanish, International, Chinese, tropical etc. Every evening there was a really good salad section for starter, several types of meat, fish and a vegetarian option plus a small children's section that seemed to have hotdogs and pizza on it most nights. Pudding was a selection of jelly, cakes and little tubs of ice cream.
All of the food was well cooked and they were constantly changing the dishes - I even saw someone with a thermometer checking the temperature of the food so any problems they have had in the past have definitely been sorted.
The hotel has crazy golf, tennis courts and at the pool which was clean, there was no shortage of sunbeds. There are 3 shops in the hotel one selling general holiday bits, one with handbags and suitcases and one with electrical items. There is a cashpoint in reception along with a pay phone and 2 internet terminals (which was really expensive €4 for 30mins or €6 for 1hr). There is even a small launderette which was €1 for the washing powder, €4 for the washing machine and €4 for the dryer. I dried my things in my room and they were all dry by the following morning.
The hotel has entertainment taking place throughout the day and a kids club for the little ones. The only thing I have to say is that I think that the evening entertainment started a little too late with the main thing for the evening not starting until 10pm.
The hotel has 3 bars, one outside by the pool, one in the dining room which is only open at meal times and one in the main room where the entertainment happens. The beer isn't cheap at €3 for a large Dorada beer but considering your in a hotel its not too bad.
The resort its self has 2 small supermarkets that have all the essentials, there several places to eat including a chicken restaurant, a Chinese and several British bars that serve food - I had the best burger ever in Talk of The Town!
The bus service runs approx every hour to Playa and Los Gigantes where you can connect to other buses to see other parts of the island.
Overall not a bad place to stay!

I booked this holiday as a surprise for my husband. I was not expecting that much because it was 3 star, but what a surprise. The hotel is very clean with a full maid service every day. There is a diy laundry service if you are staying for a few weeks, which a lot of people were. The Spanish Reps were great, with plenty of things to do through the day for adults as well as children. There were people of many nationalities there and everyone got on very well.
The food was excellent with so much choice which changes daily. I put 5lbs on in a week! The food temperature was checked regularly too make sure it did not get cold. There is a barbecue bar for lunches. Drinks prices were pretty reasonable in the hotel, there is entertainment on every night for children and adults. Drinks were cheaper in the British run bars, the Britannia and the Slug and Lettuce were our favourites.
There is a small but immaculately clean pool area, they don't charge for sunbed pads and there is an outdoor jacuzzi too.
The hotel staff are friendly and efficient. One of our lights went off in our room and was mended within the hour. There are excursions that can be booked direct from the hotel which are much cheaper than through our tour operator and there is an efficient bus service from just outside the hotel.
The resort itself is still fairly new so there is some building work being done, but by next year it should look really nice.
I am already planning our next visit.

Before arriving at the Oasis Paraiso i had visited this website and was nervous about it however i neednt have worried.
My boyfriend and i (aged 23&27) arrived at midday and it was gloriously sunny. First impressions were dismay at the sight of the high rise building but those worries quickly disappeared.
ROOM: Our room was a little basic but clean and was situated at the corner of the building on the second top floor. The view out to the sea was stunning-totally priceless. Our room had recently been renovated and fitted with a new bathroom suite including shower (where the water never ran dry) No air con but i didnt feel like i needed this in December and to be honest i have been to Tenerife in August and never needed it.
POOL AREA: Dipped my big toe in the pool once and it was FREEZING but then again it was December.
FOOD: Plenty of choice for every meal surely a dish to suit everyone? We dined in every morning for brekkie and only two nights out of seven for dinner because i do like dining out when on holiday.
RESORT: Very very quiet, was under construction on the way in (but far enough away that you wouldnt be effected by noise) We do enjoy it peaceful though.
ALL IN ALL: The hotel is basic but its clean and what else do you expect for the money you pay? A fantastic holiday, great value for money! We spent a day at the Aqua park and also Lorro Parque both great days out! We hired a car for our stay as the resort is far out and i dont like to rely on taxi's or buses. DONT go to this hotel if you like going clubbing unless you want to spend a fortune on public transport. Ideal for families and couples young and old.
