" Wonderful "

THIS HOTEL WAS WONDERFUL , MY HUSBAND & ME AND OUR 9 YEAR OLD SON WENT LAST YEAR AND HAD A VERY RELAXING HOLIDAY .
I worry about booking any were now as , the year before we went on holiday to cyprus to a 4* plus holiday and it was run down and its what i'd call a 2* holiday here , there rating are not like ours .
So i went on here and looked at review for the bahi prinicipe and and then booked it , well what can i say but 10/10 , food out of this world your treated like nothing like to much trouble for then .
When we got there they take your bags to your room , so you can go straight into dinner , and your taken to your table given , drinks straight away , then you go and help yourself to what ever you want , then they top up your drinks ,i had a bottle of red wine & didn't like it they took it away and put a bottle of bubbley on my table as a replacement and the same every night we came in .
The rooms are nice and clean and airey and cleaned everyday , water topped up and all the drinks in your friage , clean towels replaced .
The entertainmet staff are very good with both kids and everyone and ask you if you like to join in but don't force you , there very funny( the pool staff).
When you first get there go to the gym and get your beach towel £10 ero and you get this back when you hand it back at the end of your hols , and they change it everyday .
Well i've noe booked it again this year for july 7th for two weeks and can't wait 12 weeks , bring it on x

" Not as good as last time... "

We are a couple in our 30's who were looking for a week of rest and relaxation in the sunshine at the start of October. We had stayed at the Costa Adeje next door in 2006 and thought it would be worth trying the supposedly quieter Tenerife this time round.
On the pro side, the resort is off the beaten track so not impacted by surrounding noise. Our room on the 4th floor was very large and had a great view and the general decor was good. The main restaurant was fine, with good quality food although not a huge amount of variety. However the Asian and Italian restaurants were very good. The staff throughout the resort were friendly and approachable.
On the downside, it's a 'band and brand' place which I personally don't like. The hotel was also much busier than we expected and even though we thought we had avoided school holidays, there were lots of school-aged children at the resort and no quiet or adult only areas to relax in. There is a mad rush for sunbeds and my husband and I took in turns going down at 8am to get them, as on the first day there were none available after our Rep meeting finished at 10.30.
On the subject of the tour operator, the cost of trips has rocketed since we went last so we hired and car and did our own thing. Also the '25 minute' transfer from the airport took nearly 2 hours as we were the last drop off. Apparently both of these issues are due to First Choice being taken over by TUI.
The final niggle that we had was about our maid. On 4 days of our week long stay, I had to go to Guest Services to ask for towels as the maid would take them away (even if we had hung them up to reuse)and not replace them. Maybe she didn't like us as the bed was often not made properly and there was some sand by the door that stayed with us all week. However, when we did report anything, it was retified very quickly.
All in all, we would agree that it is a nice enough hotel but it didn't offer the peace and quiet that we were really hoping for. It was very family focused and there were several large groups staying when we were, which could have made it feel busier that usual. I can imagine it being perfect for a wide range of people - just slightly disappointing for us.

" Stayed here for 1 week 25 Jan - 1 Feb... "

Stayed here for 1 week 25 Jan - 1 Feb with my husband and 2 children aged 7 & 4. Fantastic hotel. Immaculately clean with lots of staff keeping up the very high standards. Food was brilliant with a massive selection at every meal, even enough selection to keep my two fussy eater children happy. They have 5 A La Carte restaurants and you are able to book 3 a week so we tried the Asian, Italian and Mexican, which were all very good but the Mexican was by far the best. There’s a pool bar that serves hotdogs and toasties and has pizza and a selection of sandwiches on offer all day. The selection of all inclusive drinks was brilliant and the local drinks were very good although didn’t think much to their cocktails.
There are 2 sister hotels, the Tenerife hotel is the smaller hotel and the Costa Adeje is the larger (its a 30 second walk between them), we personally liked the Costa Adeje more as it had more of a busy atmosphere and all the entertainment was there although it didn’t start till 10pm which was pretty late when you’ve got a young family. There is kids entertainment on earlier, though I can’t comment on it as my kids didn’t fancy going, it seemed to be full of very young kids e.g. 3s and under, I think this was due to the fact that it wasn’t school holidays and I’m sure that it would be very good with a large selection of kids there.

We hired a car for 3 days from the hotel at a cost of 120 euros with an extra 10 euros for the kid’s booster seats. We went up El Teide Mountain which was ok, absolutely freezing, I suppose you’ve got to do it but it wasn’t brilliant. A word of warning, it’s at the top of a very long winding road, so although my kids have travelled a lot, this didn’t stop my 4 year old being sick in the car on the way down. We next went to Lorro Parque which was fantastic, a definite must do. Under 5s go free and my kids and myself and husband loved it. It is amazingly clean and all the animals were well looked after. All the shows were brilliant and look out for yourself on the big screen at the whale show; you really must do Lorro Parque. Our last trip was to Aqualand, it cost a massive 83 euros to get in and was a waste of time, your not able to take the kids on the rides, they must go on themselves, so it really wasn’t worth going, and a word of warning the pools are fresh sea water and are freezing. The people who own Lorro Parque are building a water park next to Aqualand which is due to be open May, its called Siam Park so if I were you I would go there instead.
The hotels are basically by themselves so don’t go here if your wanting a busy holiday, it really is for a relaxing break in an excellent hotel. There’s not much more I can say really except book this hotel, I really am very fussy were I stay and this ticked all my boxes.

" Booked with First Choice late deals... "

Booked with First Choice late deals for Ocean Resort but due to an overbooking error got relocated to Bahia Principe Tenerife with £50 each cashback plus goldband status from First Choice. What a place wow! , we visited Ocean Resort to compare, I'm afraid the Ocean Resort is a S***hole compared to the Bahia. I have never been in such a clean Hotel, The food was excellent with caviar and champers available on the breakfast menu. I dont usually go to the same place twice but we would consider it in the future.
I would recommended hiring a car as the Bahia is rather remote.
The evening entertainment was very boring and bland , but I have seen the same problem in other hotels of the same quality
My only complaint was having to listen to English people whinging and whining about trivial , niggly things instead of getting on with their holiday.
Coffin Dodgers......Don't come here , theres no Bingo!!!! go to Skegness or Cleethorpes.
We are both 50 yrs old and Business people, come here to chill out and enjoy , lifes too short

" We stayed for 2 weeks, 2 adults 2... "

We stayed for 2 weeks, 2 adults 2 children, 7 and 11, in a junior suite, top part of the complex. Firstly I would have to say that this hotel was the cleanest hotel that we have ever stayed in also the hotel pools were great and the food was fine.

However !!

The entertainment was a joke. It was the the worst we have ever experienced. It was rubbish, we had to get taxis to other hotels to be entertained or go to bars just to get out having to suffer the garbage that they call entertainment.

Also !!

Why should you be made to walk 300 metres to get a spirit drinks ? As the only bar in the entertainment area is non-inclusive (which is a scam in itself as they hope you cant be bother to walk to get your drinks).

Also we have stayed in several other all inclusive hotels and the bars stayed open until at least 12pm not 11pm. They seem to want to charge good money to stay there but give you back as little as possible.

It may sound that I like my booze too much but that is not the case its just a point of principle.

If you like a quiet hotel then it may be ok for 1 week but for us we will NEVER RETURN.

" What a fantastic hotel. I have never... "

What a fantastic hotel. I have never been to a hotel that is so clean and friendly.

There was loads to do for the family. My children 4 and 6 loved it and the mini club was great for them.

The food was great plenty to choose from and not repetitive.

The a la cart ones are also lovely we had no problem booking them and we had 6 on our stay for 2 weeks.

The location is remote but that suited us.

The rooms were lovely junior suites which over looked the pool and sea.

Pools were lovely and plenty of sunbeds which is always good.

Plenty of drinks and snacks to choose from all day which i found fantastic especially which 2 small children.

The mini golf ping pong tennis football and basket ball was all free as well, and if you wanted to join in with the activities throughout the day you could do although there was no pressure.

The evening entertainment was really good and my whole family really had a good time.
We really loved this place and have booked to go back for a week in september and for another 2 weeks next june.

100% enjoyfull holiday.

" Excellent Hotel.

Good... "

Excellent Hotel.

Good service right from the day we booked in. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The whole hotel is clean, the gardens are beautiful.

We only had to queue once to get into the buffet restaurant. The food was varied and cooked to perfection, the service in the restaurant is exceptional.

All the staff were really helpful and mostly fluent in English - which was a help for those of us who do not speak Spanish.

The second week of our holiday was half term and the hotel was at full capacity, the only thing that seemed to be affected by the number of people was the lack of sunbeds, but other than that it was business as usual.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone.

" My husband and I travelled to... "

My husband and I travelled to Tenerife for our honeymoon.

We were originally booked into a great hotel on La Gomera but there was building works taking place so the tour operator advised us to change. We are so glad we swapped.

The Bahia Principe is a fantastic hotel. the rooms are huge and spotless. The pool areas are immaculate - plenty of beds to go around.

The main restaurant is great - we each put on 5lbs during our stay. The bookable restaurants are good too.

We did go out to eat a couple of nights. 30 Euros return trip to Los Cristianos for the best French meal I have ever eaten!! I know it is double Dutch.

We will definitely be returning.

" Just back from holiday and this is... "

Just back from holiday and this is the first time I’ve read the reviews!

What a beautiful hotel so colourful and bright. Very clean the maid did a fantastic job. Some lovely touches such as fanning your nightdress etc.

It was Easter while we were there and very busy, bulging I would say. On arrival reception were brilliant and only a minor niggle we went to our room, not to easy to find and it faced the car park (not the sea view we booked ).

Back to reception, they apologised but could only move us the next day, no problem and they did. With a complimentary bottle of champagne from the management. Not that we drank it.

Must be a fussy eater and drinker because there was lots of variety at the buffet restaurant (cafeteria), but nothing that appealed to me and well, the bars were excellent no queuing, but again nothing happening.

Ah the entertainment well yes there lays the problem that’s not entertainment to me, honestly Butlins would be better!! It was outside and very chilly and very amateur.

The restaurants that needed booking were only worth visiting so you didn’t have to go to the cafeteria!

On the whole though our 6year old daughter loved it and didn’t want to come home.

After two weeks I was just settling into the routine. Beautiful hotel fantastic staff and yes very remote, great we loved it.

Would we go again? Well no, but only because we would like to try somewhere else!

But visit Lorro Parc it was worth it just to see the whales, fantastic!

" Myself, husband and two girls age 4... "

Myself, husband and two girls age 4 and 8 visited this hotel in August 06, we were thrilled with our choice on arrival and felt the general feel and look of the place to be very luxurious. The food was excellent although we got a bit excited about the a la carte only to find it was practically the same as the main restaurant at times. The place is spotlessly clean and there are an army of staff around at all times.

My children absolutely loved the kids club (first time ever) and kids evening entertainment (disco etc).

The adult entertainment did leave a bit to be desired but aren’t all package hotels the same?

The rooms are beautiful, we had a family suite in this side of the hotel and it was huge with a fridge which was stocked daily with water, beer and cans of soft drinks for the kids, they even put in crisps a couple of times a week.

The only downside to the hotel is the location, we didn't mind too much, but if you like a walk there is literally nothing to see in Playa paraiso so you would need to cab anywhere for a shop etc. That said, we really didn’t want to go out more than twice as the food, and relaxing hotel surroundings were lovely, this was probably our best holiday to date and we came back totally refreshed and relaxed.

" Just returned home having spent one... "

Just returned home having spent one week at the Bahia Principe Tenerife with my husband and son (3yrs).

On arrival we were given our armbands and quickly ushered down to the dinning room as there was only 30 mins left of service for lunches. They suggested we go and get our lunch then come back and register. The attentive bellboys took our belongings to our Junior Suite and we went off to eat lunch. We were very impressed with the dinning room and fabulous choices available. We have stayed at many all inclusive hotels in Spain in the past but this beat them all hands down for service and quality.

After lunch we were given our map of the hotel (complex - you needed a map to get round - huge) and given a clear run down of the facilities.

We enjoyed the Asian, Mexican and Italian A la carte restaurants during our stay. I was a little disappointed that they couldn't get a child minder for one of the dinners as the hotel said they offered this service (12 Euros per hour) I would have liked to have had a couple of hours for a romantic dinner but this wasn't to be.. no matter.. we still enjoyed ourselves and our little lad was well behaved (phew!)

The complex was cleaned like a new pin.. there was an army of workers keeping the communal areas pristine. Our room was fab. Loads of room and the bed was so huge.. hubby and I are not little people.. but we could have fit 4 of us on the bed - no kidding!

The heated pool was great.. the little lad was confident and there was always lots of sun lounges and umbrellas to take your pick..

The only down side to this hotel complex was that the entertainment in the evening was at the adjoining sister hotel and often in the outside square (which was a little chilly at night) but there was no bar .. well there was but it wasn't included in the all inclusive. We had to walk down and up 30 odd steps to get drinks from a bar across at the other hotel. A bit odd really!

If you are not very fit this hotel would be difficult to cope with I think as I am not that fit and struggled some days with the walking from A - B in the heat. Everything is so spread out and with a lot of the facilities at the sister hotel - it was spread out even further. At least the Tenerife Hotel we stayed in was all flat ... the adjoining Adige was on a large steep incline with lots more steps to contend with.

Overall a superb hotel complex and very relaxing. We got more than we bargained for.

If we wanted night life then I wouldn't go here.... but as we wanted a nice quiet relaxing holiday with a bit of luxury to boot.. it fitted the bill top notch!

Would highly recommend.

" Spent Christmas and New Year with... "

Spent Christmas and New Year with husband, 3 children under 10 (oldest registered blind) plus parents 2 x over 65.

We booked to stay in sister hotel Bahia Principe Costa Adeje (BHPA). In August we were advised that First Choice had lost contract for Junior Suites, therefore we had to move to Bahia Principe Tenerife (BPT). Thank goodness!!

Parents were booked into BPCA and on arrival were given a lovely room at the bottom of the resort (a good 1.5km walk from our room in BPT). My father suffers with arthritis and a heart condition.

If he had stayed in this room he would not have moved for the whole 14 nights.

We spoke to reception in BPT who were more than apologetic and moved my parents straight away.

We e-mailed the hotel 1 week before arrival explaining my daughter’s condition; upon arrival they had allocated us a more than adequate room due to her disability. What more could we have asked? Only that we had been moved from BPCA.

Due to the structure of this hotel, number of steps, location of lifts, and distance between bars, reception, restaurants etc. not suitable for people with mobility problems.

Maybe that the tour operators and hoteliers reconsider their pricing structure. From 22/12/06 to 01/01/07 what a fantastic place.

Service second to none, kids club, begging for participants (even collecting children from around the pool), sun beds, choice of anywhere until at least 11am. All inclusive option couldn't get enough!

From 02/01/07 (when the price reduces dramatically) what a change! No sun beds, no bar staff, no 'slush puppy' all in all 'no nothing'. Considering the amount we paid for a 5* resort we were thoroughly disappointed.

No alcoholic drinks (that we as a party of four adults with different tastes would drink) available on all inclusive. Plenty of cheap white or red wine. Limited seating in the restaurant for more than a party of 5 people.

On the up side, the quality of cleanliness and staff did not falter.

Have to say on a good note, all restaurants for which you need to book are exceptional. Just remember to book on day of arrival as days and numbers are limited.

Spoke to families on one week holidays, who could not book restaurants as already taken by people on two week stays.

We have visited Costa Adeje 8 times in the last ten years and due to the name of the hotel thought we would be within walking distance.

A good taxi ride at 30 euros per return journey made us feel a little isolated. Playa Paraiso at 8 euros per return journey is probably not worth a visit.

Hotel staff, accommodation & food good, location poor. Would not return to this resort.

" Stayed at the Bahia Principe Tenerife... "

Stayed at the Bahia Principe Tenerife for one week 2 adults and one child age 11.

We had a fabulous holiday, upon arrival we were greeted at reception and quickly received our wrist bands.

Our room was spotless, we had a junior suite plenty of room and overlooked the pool.

The food in the buffet restaurant was superb, never had to wait for a table and the staff were quick in clearing tables and serving you drinks.

We ate in the Mexican and Asian restaurant during the week and the service and food very good.

The cleaning staff around the hotel never stopped it was spotless.

Animation team around the pool area were excellent always cheerful and my son loved all the activities on offer.

We will definitely be returning next year we had a great holiday.

" We have returned from a week's... "

We have returned from a week's holiday at this hotel and I'd like to give it praise!

We enjoyed the food, the pools and the room. It was very clean and we saw maintenance happening daily.

The a la carte restaurants were very good especially the Asian and the animations team friendly but respectful.

Our only complaint would be with the main evening entertainment which we had to walk down to the other complex (not as nice) which was awful and the bar closing at 11pm.

We were also unhappy at having to pay at the sports bar as it wasn't included in the all inclusive?!

The resort itself is barren and I imagine 'up and coming' but near enough the tat of Las Americas if you want it.

Hire a car from Nizacar while you're there, it was cheap and reliable, we went at 5.30pm and got the car there and then for free, and paid for the following day!
